I have been educating myself on phishing when I came across your site.which are all very educational. The one thing I 'd like to ask is it safe to call their bluff.? I'm not suggesting directly but by quietly deleting it ignoring the deadline never getting back to them. Another thing I learnt from one site. Is it true hackers get into our computers from days of research on us. It takes time to collect information. Armed wIth weeks to moths of studying our social media posts they get back to us with designer phishing posts to reveal our personal data.
Great video, really impressed with the graphics and the edits. Are you able to refer me to who did them ? If it's someone from cybernews, really awesome and congrats would love to know how some of the effects were done as a novice video editor and graphic designer.
I'm not sure if what I'm getting is the exact same as this, but I've been getting emails from Amazon telling me payment to renew my Amazon Prime account is declined because both my cards are expired, but the cards on my account don't expire for a few years. I've checked my account to see if my payment info is correct, and it is.
You lost me at the point where hypothetically leaking my facebook account details somehow gives the hacker access to my social security and bank account??
@@cybernewsim so scared and paranoid rn, earlier i got an email and it was a bit sketchy, it said i hadn’t claimed my bonus gift they had sent me 7 days ago and to press the link to their customer portal. I was curious so i pressed the link and the website said confirm im not a robot, i felt a weird feeling and closed the tab and deleted my search history. Then i noticed at the end of the mail it said it was sent by a company (then I remembered this company doesn’t exist anymore because another bought it earlier this year) so i said this is definitely a scam and blocked them and threw it in the bin. So i googled media markt scam and a swedish (im a swede) newspaper said that a group of ppl located in Bangladesh are operating this scam on swedes. So my question is, can they have access to my phone now? Can they rob my bank account? Im so paranoid that i will be emptying my savings to cash, and im so scared that they could read this and empty my account before me.
I got into a website... And... It ask to complete 1 of the 3... Amazon Gmail Paypal After I clicked those it said it wasn't available in my country. Am I still safe or not?
That's what they do they often make a fake website designed Like the real website once you enter your personal information you get redirected over to the real website and it says unknown username or password to make you believe that it was just a simple mistake

Lost $3,000. Both the bank and police were useless. Paypal however was very helpful and I got most of that money back.

This usually happens when people use same (or very similar) password on many different services!
