actually, I just saw a report on dutch television about plans to build bio plastic factories based on the same concept presented in this video. the source for this bioplastic will be sugar beet as well. the netherlands are planning to become the largest bioplastic producer in europe. And this is why you won't see it make any difference... they're keeping it top secret. We need a global effort, a few guys with a secret... it's a tiny drop in the ocean!
I use bioplastic strings on my ukulele and they are not just eco friendly, they are also better strings, i know it won’t change the world but it’s obviously possible to make high quality products with this material
I think its kinda fluffed up how cells are stressed. sort of like torture how im seeing it right now ( to the cell at least )... all to produce plastic pha. morally. but I dont know about cells enough although I am made up of many, I only sense to be one. how big are the cells that are "stressed" compared to the universe?
What about environmental impacts of sugarcane, I doubt that people from Brasil like it e.g. water consumption and fertilizers; what about bio-degrability of final products (ultimate biodegradation is water, basic gases, minaerasl and humic acid) and finalyy what about the GHG footprint of the whole process; if all those standards are met then we speak about solution that we need

By keeping it a secret you’re letting others keep making the harmful plastic

I like that it uses waste, and not the food, to make the plastic.

So this another unicorn like Tesla that wants to rip off stupid investors
"So we took these samples to the lab for analysis" Scientist - "These dark bits look like paint" lol. That's Science! :)
Those eyes
Question. Does anyone know how much waste one beet can produce? in liter maybe. Thank you!

This will be destroyed like the car that could run on water. Never heard from it again
