I was bullied in middle school and ended up moving schools. I ended up meeting a guy who became my best friend. He played guitar and was OBSESSED with Blink 182. We would play every day and my life totally shifted to nothing but music. I was so heavily inspired by Tom Delonge and Blink. Now years later I’ve bow been playing professionally for over 4 years and do over 200+ shows a year and am a totally different, more confident person than I was when I was getting bullied. Everything I have that’s good in my life is because I picked up a guitar... Thanks Tom. You changed my Life

His Skill Level is amazing.. you dont have to be a shredder to be awesome, his ability to write memorable riffs, hooks or melodic songs is on another level... he's the reason Blink and AVA is freaking amazing...he also helped kick off the pop punk genre and spawned a legion of punk bands trying to do what he does.
Tom DeLonge is the reason thousands of kids including myself picked up a guitar. Blink songs were not difficult to learn but still extremely fun and I still play them 20 years later just about every week. He’s easily one of the top guitar influencers of all time IMO
I met Tom last month at a show in NYC backstage. It was really cool to shake his hand and see him in the flesh after listening to his music all these years. Angels & Airwaves was the band that changed my life as a musician and i'm sure countless others.

The Adventure back in 2005 made me want to play the guitar, when I heard the main riff for the first time I thought "I must learn to play this song, I HAVE TO". And I did. Tom is the most interesting person i've ever come across in the history of my life. I've always been obsessed with music and I was a huge Blink fan when I saw them live in 2004 in Melbourne Oz, and it was an amazing show, Blink is still good and I love Angels and Airwaves as well. In 2005 when I was 25 years old I bought an acoustic guitar and a book on how to learn how to play guitar which came with an instructional dvd. I always wanted to learn how to play and I became obsessed and I basically taught myself how to play and it was a great hobby. I learn't how to read tabulature books and bought quite a few guitars over the years. I haven't picked up a guitar now for 2 years and I think it may be time to get re inspired. When I was 27 I got diagnosed with schizophrenia and I believe there was a lot more going on than that. When i was 18 me and my friend saw a big ball of flames appear in front of us while we were sitting on a cliff overlooking the ocean at night having a beer. We decided to walk home and as we crossed the road two white lights streaked over our head about twenty metres above and there was no sound, we walked a little further around the corner and there was a 1950's car on the side of the road with two people in it like something out of the show Project Blue Book. When we got home the 15 minute walk had taken 3 and a half hours, in other words we had lost 3 hours of time. When I was 27 I was used covertly as a Mk-Ultra test subject, and I succeded In blowing there minds wide open. Ufo's are directly connected to consciousness and I was drugged with LSD mixed with Atropin and Mesculan. I can't prove it but I definately know what happened. And I find this stuff very interesting.
This brings a whole new meaning to Aliens Exist for me. The feeling of sadness and anxiety never left Tom, but those feelings were also key in him creating some of the catchiest melodies that helped many of us escape when we were teenagers. I don't judge him at all, he's just a man with a struggle but he's greatly talented and he's touched us all with his gift. I wish him well.
Genuine, one of a kind, there’s only one Tom. I guess that the ultimate compliment, to do it your way and sound like you. Tom has lived the life and I’m stoked for him. He’s an inspiration .
I'am only 7:37 in but I've got to say. Tom finally sounds more like you'd think Tom should be like. He sounds relaxed, he sounds sure of himself he just seems free. He's obviously had a lot going on in the past 10/15 years and I think its all finally (for the better I would hope for him and his family) starting to settle down. If you really take stock of what he has been up to, been through and been at the receiving end of, man he really is a strong guy and I hope whatever comes his way in life now brings him towards his own happiness. The first documentary was great with Tom, this so far has been just as good, so whosoever idea this was and to those who worked on it, thank you!

Genuine, one of a kind, there’s only one Tom. I guess that the ultimate compliment, to do it your way and sound like you. Tom has lived the life and I’m stoked for him. He’s an inspiration .

I'am only 7:37 in but I've got to say. Tom finally sounds more like you'd think Tom should be like. He sounds relaxed, he sounds sure of himself he just seems free. He's obviously had a lot going on in the past 10/15 years and I think its all finally (for the better I would hope for him and his family) starting to settle down. If you really take stock of what he has been up to, been through and been at the receiving end of, man he really is a strong guy and I hope whatever comes his way in life now brings him towards his own happiness.
The first documentary was great with Tom, this so far has been just as good, so whosoever idea this was and to those who worked on it, thank you!
