Personally i think Season 2 is better,Season 1 had too many filler episodes while almost every episode in Season 2 had action and fight BUT Season 1 finale is unbeatable

I felt season 2 had a bit more filler, but I see what you mean. The show generally uses the 'villain of the week' format so what's considered filler gets kinda murky to define.

A lot of the episodes in the middle of Season 2 were filler. Do we really need to know more about William's bf?

@@aolive11idk I think it depends how you define filler. Every single episode in season 2 develops characters and their arcs, even if it doesn’t massively further the plot (apart from arguably episode 4 and 8) whereas I think in season 1 there was less of that - although season 1 had a much better hook with the mystery of omni man. I love both seasons, it’s a phenomenal show - I think certain things are flawed about season 2 like mark’s relationship with amber and a few pacing issues such as episode 8 but other than that I personally prefer it
-also I agree with your points about the finally, season 1 had much better emotional build up and pay off.

I was hoping the second season would’ve been as heavy as the first but I can’t lie, season one would be hard to beat regardless.

Honestly. I was enjoying this season so much. But I was really disappointed with the finale. I was expecting more since I thought most of the season they were cooking the plot. I was expecting maybe allen and omni man escaping the prison or invincible vs Cecil. But we just got the Omni man line, which is not bad but still feels empty. Thats just makes me hope season 3 will be resolution of everything they were cooking since they left everything in-concluded in this season.

I think they should have had mark deal with Angstrom right before anissa showed up so he’d have some shit to work through after her threatening amber and then him still not being able to leave a mark on her would have been more substantial.

Knowing who Omnipotus is in the comics, he DEFINITELY should have been the main villain of this season. I really hope they bring him back as a much bigger threat because he’s insanely powerful

Agree, the long break and the weekly release didn’t help in my opinion.

I completely agree, the release schedule did not help at all. I didn't even know it returned until Moist Critical mentioned it a couple weeks ago.

I just hate how scummy it is how they broke the season in half. The true reason they did it was just to extend people's prime subscription for another few months

For real tho Mark is his own villain in season 2. And the finale confirms it

Mid season break was a mistake, and sticking to the source material actually hurt this season a bit! Waiting for major plot developments is very different for a monthly comic compared to a tv series with months between seasons.
Coming out as a weekly release against X-Men ‘97 also made Invincible feel much worse by comparison 🙃 even though Invincible S2 was not a bad season of television.

I just don't like how he's struggling with killing angstrom when characters have problems with killing a villain doesn't make sense to me and I pisses me off with the struggle like dude he was planning to kill your mom and brother why do you feel bad

So is there going to be an invincible war or not? Or we jumping directly to vilrumite war?

I consider that the problem you are indicating, for me is more of a setup for season 3. I feel that 2 season was all to organise pieces in a certain way so we get a glorious season 3. It is very logical to assume that season 2 was meant to Mark´s character development, that is why we have multiple scenarios with multiple villains, but not a villain in a mayor scale, we can rectify this with the classic invincible intro breaking apart slowly each episode representing mark´s changes.
The feeling we get of emptiness i feel that was made on purpose, so they can fill that emptiness on season 3, and i prefer the idea of not having a linear situation on season 2 escalating stronger on season 3 rather than having a marvelous linear season 2 but a repetitive 3rd season.
I feel that season 2 fulfill all expectations considering as a setup.

They really messed up with how much plot armour the main characters have, dupliCate should've stayed dead.

I just feel a lot of the plots in the episodes were just filler. A lot of the villains they face just dont make an impact really. The sequids were interesting but ultimately didnt do much. I dislike how the Lizard League was shown to kill all of the Guardians but then they all survive in the end. Idk i just feel it was very cheap how they handled that

I haven't read the comics yet (though I want to at some point). I get they're trying to build the story, but I don't think that should come at the expense of this season (especially since we gotta wait for the next one). This season is still amazing, it just needed a bit more "oompf" for me.
