@Maab zafar well, it was a threat, doesn’t mean he can’t break a sword though, plus he saw the future of the Bankai, meaning it’s gets stronger than it was initially, so while relatively weak, he broke it. Also he didn’t break it through normal means regardless, he used The Almighty. So, the Almighty doesn’t let him just see the future, but alter it. Imagine a reverse Tsukishima, he inserts himself into a future, any of the countless futures he sees, to alter it. Essentially, he saw Ichigo’s Bankai, saw what it could do, inserted himself into a future or in fact multiple futures, in order to break his Bankai before it released all of its power. I have a feeling there’s a lot more to it than that, but for now there you go.
It is interesting that of all the characters in Bleach Ichigo has the most transformation into new states. Ichigo is also the fastest to progress up in levels of power, he goes from being a pretty normal human being to being one of the most powerful entities in the series in a few years. You can argue that Aizen grew to immense power swiftly, but only after he got the Hogyoku. That is the remarkable thing, Ichigo does all this without using an outside power like the Hogyoku. Ichigo is an anomaly, there is no other entity like him in Bleach.
Lol Ichigo grabbing Aisen by the face was oozing with Ulquiorra vibes lolol That scene between Ichigo and Ulquiorra was so symbolic to Ulquiorra's strength and to see Ichigo flip it on Aisen was like it was fate
Honestly I love how Mugetsu works best being almost instantly over. It feels to me like it's supposed to be a world-ender, and it really communicates that to me.

Not enough consideration goes to Ichigo and his stamina. He's regularly made use of crazy dangerous shortcuts to continually be in a training state whereas even the strongest captains and vice-captains needed to take years upon years to reach full release, presumably because they're not in constant communications with their zanpakuto. Ichigo's gone through break neck speeds cultivating strength all the while being restrained and so when those restrictions are finally lifted, he gets the opportunity to fight at his full potential.
Imagine if Aizen actually had a positive relationship with his zanpkatou. He viewed it strictly as a tool, not as an extension of himself and I think that limited him. I pretty sure that's why he couldn't utilize bankai 🤔.
Love the bleach content. Very few people look into the lore of bleach and tend to underestimate the characters apart of it. Although the story can be a bit faulty here and there, the concept, design, and ideas always kept me hooked. Keep up the great work man
Seriously. At the beginning of bleach,I thought Tatsuki would become a main character and not Orihime. I mean she was his childhood friend and is already shown to have some sort of spritual power.
@Roman Francis well I'm far from a bleach expert so don't judge me too harshly if I'm wrong lol, but from my understanding a full bringer is a human that is affected by an encounter with supernatural energy of any kind. basically if you encounter something that shouldn't exist or isn't natural there is a chance that it could affect your body in a permanent way and make you into a fullbringer, this is one of the reasons why the full bringer abilities are so random sometimes there's not as much structure to them as there is for hollow powers or shinigami powers.
@Roman Francis yep it seems to act in the same way as genetic mutation whether it activates or not is entirely random. The chance for fullbringer powers to activate could be 10% or could be 90%. Either way it isn't guaranteed
I always thought the mountain feat was more like when Ginjo thought "ha i took your getsuga attack full on!" (Paraphrasing) and Ichigo says "not a getsuga, just a practice swing"
I think it goes without question that Hanatoro is light years stronger than Ichigo. Honestly I can't believe you had to ask this. I think it's a rhetorical question.
I think its worth noting that during those 3 months of training, Ichigo couldn't even *scratch* the Ywach manifestation, IIRC. So not only was he training by fighting something massively out of his league from the getgo, odds are it kept making itself stronger with every passing moment. I think if Ichigo potentially had the opportunity to grow stronger *infinitely,* but was on a time limit and that was all he could get. He may unironically have had as much power as Ywach just from his Quincy side, but not the hax.
Ichigo is like that rpg player that wants to combo everything so in his background he is a shinigami, vizard, fullbringer, quincy with some extra special things
Mugetsu Ichigo is easily one of his best forms - design wise. Also - it's power is... hard to understand ? Dangai Ichigo in my mind is directly equiualent to True Shikai Ichigo - one annihilated mountains by sword swings - another annihilated a palace by flexing his reiatsu that was so dense it became visible. How strong his True Bankai is... Guess I know what video I'm looking forward to ! Thanks for the video, it was a pleasure to watch !

Most failed to notice that Aizen initial plan for immortality was through hollowfication, not hogyoku. He thought he failed on Ichigo too. Probably that's why he decided to fuse himself hogyoku. The battle between Ichigo and ulquiorra proved otherwise: Ichigo was the natural immortal with unlimited potential, who still survived a huge hole in his chest. Given times, not even Yhwach could stop him.
@agentnukaz immortal = infinite regenerative ability, same with Aizen but Aizen has negative effect from regeneration while Ichigo doesn't have negative effect after regeneration. In case u wonder, Ichigo is all in one: quincy. shinigami and hollow. Aizen planned and experimented it on Ichigo to gain the immortal from hollowfication but he didn't see much progress in Ichigo, so he went with the other method developed by Urahara
Aizen prefered to free alongside Gin instead of fightning head on before he fused with the Hogyoku. So I would say he has a somewhat idea of how dangerous she truly is
She most likely wouldnt have been able to do anything even if she used her bankai due to the fact that he has his kyoka suigetsu, I mean if Aizen didnt have a hypnosis ability to that extent I am sure many other captains could have killed him (pre hyogyoku awakening) with their bankai abilities especially when teamed up together.
@@Niko-pt9li yup, I mean Gin technically killed him but hogyoku stitched him together & obeyed his will lol. TYBW Unahana turned Kenpachi to bones & back sev times so I'd say she should've surely been strong enough to be able to, pre-hokgyoku obvs
Aizen stomps Unohana since she and all the other captains already were under the effect of Kyoka Suigetsu. Remember Aizen can casually one-shot Harribel, the same Harribel who tanked Toshiro's bankai which is said to be comparable to Yamamoto's.
Please correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't referring to Mugetsu as a form incorrect? Isnt the technique called Final Getsuga Tenshou- which transform him, and the attack he uses is called Mugetsu
Yo Clyde, I always thought that zangetsu's true ability is the compression of spiritual pressure which allows him to do the getsuga tensho. And in bankai it compresses it in his body making it more potent and boosting his stats like strength, speed, endurance, stamina, reaction time etc. Making him a better fighter overall. Even the getsuga gets stronger and faster making more lethal. Ichigo is able stay in bankai as long as he wishes not because his bankai is small(not draining his reserves like other big or flashy bankai) but because of the ability to compress riatsu in the body and the blade. The blade becomes more sturdy and smaller as compared to the shivaji form. Gin goes on to says he felt like his bankai would break each time he clashed with ichigo. My thinking was dangai Ichigo was the perfection of that ability. He fought for U. Cifer and Yammy, then goes on to fight to Gin, and finally trains for 3 months with out ever dropping out of bankai. My conclusion had been that dangai ichigo had mastered his bankai and that compression ability to the point of not leaking any riatsu which would make it seem like he transcended and not be sensed by anyone. This is supported by the fact that when he first used bankai it felt like his bones were gona break because of all that compressed energy which he was not used to, hence more taxing on his body. Please share your thoughts on this... Love your videos
My guy, that is an excellent take I never thought of! It kinda makes sense from the English dubbed stand point with White saying this very instance to Ichigo when they were fighting byakuya on soukyoku hill. It mentioned to him he'd show ichigo how he used bankai.
Getsuga tensho is a zanpakuto technique that's used by the shiba clan which Ichigo is a part of, so I doubt Ichigo using it is purely due to his zanpakuto's ability.
This was an awesome breakdown of all this stuff, the recent 1000 year war trailer has got me back on the Bleach train and I kinda came across this as part of that rabbit hole but I really hadn't thought about the power scaling that much till you laid it out and it almost seems like it was planned/made sense and not plot corner shenanigans. Can't wait to see the final arc fights animated and also major kudos to your editing and research.
I was sad Ichigo's Final Getsuga Tenshou was literally final. I wanted to see a prolonged battle between this new black character against Aizen's white design. But it's still kickass to watch.
I think Mugetsu is supposed to be a one go suicidal attack like how Gon from HxH sacrificed all of his life force to turn into adult form for a short moment, the magazine describes it as an attack not as a form, if I got it right, it's basically Dangai Ichigo utilizing all of his Reiryoku into one attack, so I don't think a single attack can reach such a power level in any other means like training or being buffed by Hogyoku or something, it's only a matter of how much Reiryoku you have and being able to release it all at once (probably as a result of being so deep in sorrow that your own existence doesn't matter to you anymore), if someone would had a greater Reiryoku reserve than Ichigo and was in a similar mood of "being tired from existing" than theoretically he would have been able to make a stronger attack but I think nobody in Bleach verse has such a big Reiryoku reserve like Ichigo besides the Soul King but the Soul King probably can't reach such a level of despair (or to be desperate at all) to be able to create a similar all-out attack and for this very reason Mugetsu will always remain the strongest possible attack in Bleach lore..
It was long enough the final fight as Ichigo just wanted to finish it all asap We all feel for Ichigo. When he ends Aizen it was just so satisfying to see a one shot after all of Aizens bs
Yeah Isshin *IS* the only issue for the Letz Still theory, Isshin actually is tied to a lot of confusion of a few things in Bleach, so a video with findings on him would be super helpful and interesting. I'm also glad someone finally perceived there being a depressed/broken demeanor to Dangai Ichigo which fits the theme of just wanting things to be over with. There was a certain resolve as Gin noted, but I've always seen that final fight as a sorrowful battle. I can't say enough how helpful and great this video was, it was definitely worth the wait.
A theory could be that for Isshin, it would have only used MOST of his power which would leave him very weak with a long recovery time but still retaining his power nonetheless. The difference between Isshin and Ichigo is the fact Ichigo has a Quincy spirit (yes he has Hollow Zangetsu too but that can be looked at as increase of power in this case). With the addition and presence of Old Man Zangetsu it can be theorized he modified the technique to be similar to Letz Still in the complete consumption of power. We know Isshin has been a captain for a long time and only lost his powers due to willingly using his powers as a seal to save Masaki’s life. Of course it could always be said that Isshin only ever learned the technique instead of actually having used it. But that’s just a theory! A film theo..... I’ll stop now
I always assumed that Aizen misinterpreted what the Hogyoku was doing. It wasn't about to ascend him to anything , it was rejecting him as its wielder. During the fight Aizen mentions that the Hogyoku was giving him more power as it was outraged at ichigo's defiance or something which led me to believe that the hogyoku possessed some sort of awareness. Later on when we see Aizen in that form in the blood war arc it was because the hogyoku had already ascended him to a point where regression wasnt very feasible. It pushed his soul past its limits and when he was captured he was in a weakened state , but since he was sealed he still was regenning power slowly and thus regain a semblance of his previous powers. Now I havent read over the content as much , but that was my take on it at first glance.
I just rewatched Ichigo vs Aizen final fight. Couple details I missed in the past. Ichigo’s at half power when he uses Mugetsu just like when vasto lorde ichigo killed Ulquiorra. Ichigo doesn’t Fire a single getsuga when he’s in dangai form and only attempts (successfully) to cut Aizen once. Every other clash of blades Ichigo is just parrying. When Aizen used hado 90, he is 3 forms transcendent to when he used it on Sajin, if his transformations work like bankai multipliers (believable with how he stomps any captain) then this hado 90 is 1,000x more powerful than we saw in the soul society arc and Ichigo swipes it away with just his arm. And that multiplier isn’t even taking into account that Aizen did a full incantation which makes it more powerful here whereas he did not on Sajin. When Aizen explicitly says a full incantation hado 90 in his form that transcends shinigami and hallow warps both time and space, I don’t think he was bullshitting. Vasto Lorde Ichigo dodged Ulquiorra’s Lanza del relampago to avoid the damage he’d take but dangai Ichigo just takes aizens much more powerful blast head on, I think he does this so the blast doesn’t destroy Katakura town but who knows. Ichigo then casually swipes away 6 of these blasts at once, safe to assume thats 6x more powerful. Given what we know about Ulquiorra’s second release and Vasto Lorde this makes Dangai Ichigo incredibly powerful. Now going off Yhwach’s statement in the war arc. When Yhwach states Ichigo has attained his true original power, referring to dangai/mugetsu, Ichigo is just in Shikai. He hasn’t even hallowfied yet or gone bankai. This means Ichigo’s perfect form in bankai is 100x stronger than Dangai/Mugetsu Ichigo which was an insurmountable amount stronger than Vasto Lorde who is scaled to be multi continental easily. Conclusion, Perfect form war arc bankai Ichigo is a planet buster hands down.
Plus, Ichigo's Bankai is still very new and can still evolve further. Bankai takes at least 10 years to master. And as we saw with Yamamoto, Bankai ages like fine wine. Which means Ichigo has the potential to become even _more_ powerful than what we saw in the War Arc, which is insane.
i personaly think mugetsu can one shot Yahwe since its an attak that does not operate with spiritual pressure but with the very concept of getsuga tensho
I honestly love the design of his vasto lorde form compared to his dangai/mugetsu. Would’ve loved to see a version of that but mugetsu is definitely stronger.
@@Grognack it's even more laughable when you consider ichigo wasn't even trying meanwhile it takes a tailed beast transformation to perform a similar feat
for the first minute bro was riding it so hard. He was doing roly polys on it. He was doing backflips without letting it slip out. He was bouncing on it like he was trying create a fire from friction.
After watching this, what if we factor Ichigo’s potential as a Shiba? According to the novels, Ichigo’s ancestor was stronger than the soul king and stronger than the other heads of the noble houses. It wouldn’t surprise me if Ichigo could become that strong, as his composition is the same as the Soul King’s with an addition: while the soul king was Human, Shinigami, and Quincy, Ichigo is that + his Hollow. As a being he is more than the soul king ever was. I believe given time, Ichigo would be a soul king candidate stronger than the soul king at his prime.
Over a decade later and I'm still hyped for Bleach content.

@Maab zafar yeah, definitely
@Maab zafar yeah, that an it was strong enough to make Ywach wanna break his sword.
Aisen created Hogyoku
Yeah, technically he always was an anomaly, throughout the series ichigo discovers himself and unlocks his powers.
I wouldn't say it's "interesting", considering he's the main character.

Hes not immortal he just has incredible hollow regeneration
@agentnukaz immortal = infinite regenerative ability, same with Aizen but Aizen has negative effect from regeneration while Ichigo doesn't have negative effect after regeneration. In case u wonder, Ichigo is all in one: quincy. shinigami and hollow. Aizen planned and experimented it on Ichigo to gain the immortal from hollowfication but he didn't see much progress in Ichigo, so he went with the other method developed by Urahara

When it comes to Unohana, is it fair to assume that Aizen didn't know her history as the first Kenpachi or her actual power level?
Aizen prefered to free alongside Gin instead of fightning head on before he fused with the Hogyoku. So I would say he has a somewhat idea of how dangerous she truly is
She most likely wouldnt have been able to do anything even if she used her bankai due to the fact that he has his kyoka suigetsu, I mean if Aizen didnt have a hypnosis ability to that extent I am sure many other captains could have killed him (pre hyogyoku awakening) with their bankai abilities especially when teamed up together.

Please correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't referring to Mugetsu as a form incorrect? Isnt the technique called Final Getsuga Tenshou- which transform him, and the attack he uses is called Mugetsu

He becomes the getsuga tenshou itself
3 minutes into the video... and i want more!!! thx for this vid Clyde.
I’ve completely looked over the fact the white we’ve seen through out the entire manga & anime was a incomplete asauchi
Plus I think his able to sense Aizen because his a perfect hybrid of all 4 races

Mugetsu form was so powerful when Aizen watched it happening he was shocked ichigo surpassed him
I was sad Ichigo's Final Getsuga Tenshou was literally final. I wanted to see a prolonged battle between this new black character against Aizen's white design. But it's still kickass to watch.
I like how you cover both arguments. Cool stance at it.
It was long enough the final fight as Ichigo just wanted to finish it all asap
We all feel for Ichigo. When he ends Aizen it was just so satisfying to see a one shot after all of Aizens bs
Love the video!! This is my 5th time watching it. Thanks for the content!!!!

Stronger than the soul king??? No.
