Thanks for this video, I have a Longer Ray 5 10 W engraver. I bought the extension Y axis arms, which came with lengthier cables for the new frame. Unfortunately the instructions for connecting the new cables are very poor. Could you do a video on how to do this?
Depends on your goals, but the laser cutters like this one are pretty impressive for ~$500. The downside is you need to add accessories like enclosure with exhaust, air assist, honeycomb table, that I find essential. One advantage of these gantry style open frame laser cutters is that the material size is not limited to what fits inside the laser. I often run into issues where I can't fit something inside the enclosed laser, and I also need to cut down material to size, which often creates waste.

How tight should the belts and rollers be?
That's subjective and hard to measure. Tight enough that there's no slack
