Aint no way BMW wants the oil changed every 15k miles. Even at 10k miles thats still alot in my opinion.

No I don't have that problem but it's caused from it scrapping on the ground.

oh okay, mines been lowered and i have scraped on my driveway and speedbumps before and it beeps with that infamous -40 degrees on the dash

I do my oil every 5k since I burn a lot of oil 😂

Just went 24k, oil was only a little bit dirty, I usually go the full 15k and it's still clean!

Why is the interval set to 15k miles? Is there a way to adjust it to only show a 5k mi service countdown, instead of the 15525mi that mine is set to?

Check Battery first. Then alternator. If both are good check cam shaft sensor next or crankshaft sensor. T

I have tried this procedure thousands of times and apparently my car does not respond when I press the buttons it does nothing. They think the car's computer is damaged.

I've had 4 BMW E46s over an 18 year period, I've also owned an E39
All were M54b30 engine cars and all had the 5 Green lights under the milage figure
When the oil service is reset using the button on the dash, the words "oil inspection 15525" appears but no green lights
If you don't know what I'm talking about, look it up on TH-cam
