At what point are people going to get sick of this. We keep the same people & politicians in charge and they do absolutely nothing to combat these issues. Waiting until they're incarcerated is too late. The only way your're going to change anything is to address what happens before they get here.
What happens before they get there is called poor parenting. I work with juveniles in detention centers. The overwhelming majority of them have parents who have screwed up there own kids.
i dont care what political party you support, or who is president, People will always make mistakes, and as time has passed those mistakes get worse and worse, it's just the sad reality of the world. Parents are the most to blame, because it gets passed on from generation to generation, this kid was lucky enough to have a mother that cared for him, but who knows if he has a father, and not everyone is fortunate enough to have a mother like that
I've been in politics for over 20 years and having been on the inside of it, I can tell you I honestly think its going to take a different generation in charge in this country before people get sick of how these teens are treated. Most likely the millennials. MY generation, the sub 'jones generation' made up of younger boomers and older gen xers who currently run the country are known for being quite hateful and very devoid of empathy towards anyone not in their own family. They have SO much hate. Their attitude is 'better safe than sorry and keep them locked up' rather than spend the money or the time to get to the root causes of these young guys troubles and actually try to HELP them. Who do you think keeps passing all these laws making longer prison sentences, mandatory minimums and more things are a crime today than ever before? Its because rather than DEAL with the problems, we want to just put them away in lockup instead. There ARE good politicians out there like me. But the reality is, we have to deal with and work within the system. And the system doesn't like elected or appointed officials who rock the boat. So we don't get all that far sadly.
@Awoken Entertainment - very true. We try to capture it as best we can, but as you say, no video can show what the kids ultimately feel and go through every single day. Thanks for watching and commenting.
I remember the first time my brother went to juvie he used to cry a lot wanting my poor mom to take him out of there he’s now 41 and just came out of prison he was in there when my parents passed away that’s so sad I hope this kid learned his lesson and is doing good now 😊

I went to Rivindale juvenile prison by the age of 15 ... Truency, drug, distributing, and battery... I was scared for my life !!!! I was scared that I wasn't going to make it !!! I was beat constantly by a group of girls who thought they were bigger till I had enough and whooped all of them ... Which added to my sentence... Honestly what I learned was how to be respectful, I learned that no one's going to love me like my family did ... I learned that the only people to provide and protect me where my family and myself !!! Even with my home life sucking it was still better then prison
Mann the whole system is messed up inside out. I think I've seen almost every single video this channel has uploaded. I'm thankful for this channel cause it shows the reality of teens in this world. Me growing up in Chicago been through all of this. Many of these teens life story are different but in this case I really see an innocent child. I dont know how can people say his mom loves him I am not easily gullible I have watched when he went to court and his mom testify only a few will know what im talking about. A mom that cares will move out the hood go to school pursue a career or even get a basic retail job. Just pray that these kids get their life together cause once they step inside those cells its no going back those are real live demons that waiting for you to devour your soul.
Most of these mothers are single and been through enough hardships. However, I just dont know how easy is for them to turn them into the system rather than them getting right with their child. This should be the last resort while heading down this way. God bless!
Appreciate you taking the time to watch our videos @Fredo CDD and posting your comment. You're right -- all the issues kids deal with, whether it be trauma at home, neighborhood, etc. contribute to what lands them in the system. Once there, it can be more difficult than most think to get out from underneath it all. That's why we hope our videos help people understand ALL of it. Thanks again for being a loyal viewer of our channel. Much appreciated.
A retail job cannot get you out the hood. As a single mom in NYC, I can tell you that a retail pay is WAY below Apartment Expectations. its not easy as a single parent especially if you dont have nobody by your side to help you while your coming up. child care will hold your child for a limited amount of time before you can even get out from work. You’re LITERALLY doing everything by yourself. and children React differently to different environments and Its but so much we can do to help control it.
How do you go about getting permission to film these kids in prison I work in a juvenile detention in Louisiana & would love to talk to my boss about something like this happening here so y’all can see the beautiful story’s of these kids from paths of destruction to paths of lights we are the children Of the most High
Visitation everyday? Man when I was in I was allowed visitations once a week for like half an hour, one 5 minute phone call every week, and each day I only came out of my cell for 1 hour 30 minutes (30 minutes for breakfast, lunch, and dinner) and then I spent the rest of my time locked up alone, not even a bunk mate to talk to. Shit scared me straight man I was only there for like a month but it was so brutal
Shit atleast you wasnt in the yard getting beat up ill take 23 and 1 wit no celly all day long 😂😂😂 . Work out like crazy get ur knowledge up and find peace with no distractions
Correct me if I'm mistaken, but it sounds like he has anger problems and self-medicates with marijuana. Why this is even a crime in the first place baffles me.
Because even if that has been all of it, Marijuana is still a drug. One that makes a person get out of a sane mind and be likely to commit crimes. No one needs drugs for anger management.
@edwardcastillo3717 - we've had a lot of adults tell us the time they spent in the system as kids still haunts them today. Not something anyone gets over easily. Sad but true.
This is sad 😔 the worst part about well one of the worst parts about being locked up is visitation. It is bitter sweet. ( Watching your family leave you behind bars as they go home ) Nothing is more valuable then your freedom. I'd rather be carried by 6 then to be locked up 😏
I just got released after doing 5 years in juvy and let me tell you there is 2 things true about everything. 1. God is good 2. Not every detention officer is as nice as this one.
My first time in juvi was a few months ago. It was depressing and all the girls were ghetto and everyone was just so angry and wanted fights for nun. I’m out now and have 0 charges but they made me go bc another place couldn’t hold me. Don’t make bad choices u do not wanna be their trust.
Lady said he in there for weed😭. Why they over there treating him like he robbed someone or as if he did something serious. Ik this fake but why would someone get in this much trouble for some weed😂
My son got in trouble for a weed pipe & mind you the cops didn't find it on him, it was put in his backpack by another kid that was on probation. The system is set up for Black males to suffer.
Detention ain’t bad where I was at. Though, every facility is different. Of course there were fights. But the detention I was at, it was rare to have a physical altercation.
@mjjurez4448 - we have filmed some cases of kids being sent to juvy for "truancy," which is not attending school. It really depends on where you live and who decides if something should be done about it.

Why fix it ? It’s job security for a lot of people …
"Where you at" always gotta check on your people
no video can show you what this really feels like
@Awoken Entertainment - very true. We try to capture it as best we can, but as you say, no video can show what the kids ultimately feel and go through every single day. Thanks for watching and commenting.
I remember the first time my brother went to juvie he used to cry a lot wanting my poor mom to take him out of there he’s now 41 and just came out of prison he was in there when my parents passed away that’s so sad I hope this kid learned his lesson and is doing good now 😊
@MariaAlvarez-eu6bq - Thank you for watching his story. We've seen a lot of people in prison who lose parents and loved ones while they're incarcerated. It's one of the greatest regrets they tell us they have.
A few years later, he served time in adult prison for robbery and was released.
What’s his full name I been tryna get an update
I seen something on this , I’ll have to look for it all. Sad!!! I love this kid & family. All the best ! Sending Love&Prayers to this yg man & family. ❤️🙏🏽🙏🏽🇨🇦
It is the broken system! The system is crooked and dysfunctional. I'm a Social Worker/Counselor. The Mayor and Governor are to be blamed for this dysfunctionality! What a disgrace!
Hello @ Anthony I agree 💯 with you . ❤️🙏🏽🙏🏽🇨🇦

The mom said, " hes been through this before" so sad i hope he gets help. Its very challenging to be a mother
Very sad! Very emotional to watch it.
It's never easy to watch kids get locked up @Anthony Martinez, and even harder to witness the emotional family aspects. Appreciate you taking the time to watch the video.
I work with street kids age 16-3o yrs old here in Toronto, Canada 🇨🇦 I’ve seen & heard every story under the sun. Some is very heart breaking. Some kids truly NEVER HAD A CHANCE @ LIFE. ❤️🙏🏽🇨🇦

His mom is so nice if that were me my mom she even wouldn’t even care or visit me.
Bro I feel like this kid is just like me in every way
Doing this to children is a crime against humanity. Children under 18 cannot be locked up!
I know it's Soo hard for the mom to see her baby lock up
They still using 1970 window 97 computers lmao. That kids mom really loves him.
This is from around 2008-2009
I went to Rivindale juvenile prison by the age of 15 ... Truency, drug, distributing, and battery...
I was scared for my life !!!! I was scared that I wasn't going to make it !!!
I was beat constantly by a group of girls who thought they were bigger till I had enough and whooped all of them ... Which added to my sentence...
Honestly what I learned was how to be respectful, I learned that no one's going to love me like my family did ... I learned that the only people to provide and protect me where my family and myself !!! Even with my home life sucking it was still better then prison
The paper said if you show any disrespect to staff, you will be charged with assault and battery??
Please pray for my son. 🙏
❤🙏
His mom really loves him. Wow my moms the same way bless the good moms frfr. Hope this kid straightened up
Mann the whole system is messed up inside out.

Prayers for this kid🙏🙏
Thats cause youre not from the hood but its better that it scared you then so much niggas that going to juvenile and they tryna be gangster and shit
I feel sad for this child
Boy my mom wouldn’t even answer that phone
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
You deserve more subs ma’am
This moment will last a life time to this kid if they were to treat him with some dignity it would stick with him for a lifetime
Correct me if I'm mistaken, but it sounds like he has anger problems and self-medicates with marijuana. Why this is even a crime in the first place baffles me.
The video does not say “why” he is locked up.

@1tsCha0s - you're not the only one. These can be difficult stories to watch. Appreciate you being with us here on our channel.
He looks like he’s 9!!! And this isn’t first time??? How old is he?? He’s going to go from Juvie to adult prison if he don’t get it together? Smh sad
I just got released after doing 5 years in juvy and let me tell you there is 2 things true about everything.
1. God is good
2. Not every detention officer is as nice as this one.
Keep your head up Morris
More like learn from his mistakes. He’s been there before and if he does not straighten up, he’ll be there again.
@@politicallyincorrect944 you act like we don’t know that
My first time in juvi was a few months ago. It was depressing and all the girls were ghetto and everyone was just so angry and wanted fights for nun. I’m out now and have 0 charges but they made me go bc another place couldn’t hold me. Don’t make bad choices u do not wanna be their trust.
This made me cry 😢
Awee his momma love him🥺♥️
I remember them days as teenager fighting trying to act hard which I still is lol😂😂
Fascinating. KG FASCINATING!
Regardless of his age he knows the difference between right and wrong... good and bad.
is morris still locked up if so can u make more videos about him or how his day goes by
no he not he out he still getting in trouble tho
This was in 2008 you don’t go to juvenile detention center when you 18+ he gotta be like 27-28 noW
Why would u care
Damn brought back memories
That's the problem, he has a support system from mommy.
If you don't have a support system, you wouldn't want to go back.
I know-
the lady at the beginning of intake was so nice
Hope Morris is doing good these days
Lady said he in there for weed😭. Why they over there treating him like he robbed someone or as if he did something serious. Ik this fake but why would someone get in this much trouble for some weed😂
My son got in trouble for a weed pipe & mind you the cops didn't find it on him, it was put in his backpack by another kid that was on probation. The system is set up for Black males to suffer.
Can anybody tell me his chargers i feel so bad for this lil young man i hope he gets out and do better

In the younger inmates they missed their family they should be set free it affects. You don't take nobody freedom away from
Detention ain’t bad where I was at. Though, every facility is different. Of course there were fights. But the detention I was at, it was rare to have a physical altercation.
Can you go to juvenile court for bad school attendance
@mjjurez4448 - we have filmed some cases of kids being sent to juvy for "truancy," which is not attending school. It really depends on where you live and who decides if something should be done about it.
bro he been locked for years now
I have a question: Why did the officer help the kid take a shower? Just curious. Please let me know.
I think cus the lady said he had to be supervised due to marijuana so maybe that’s why the officer had to be there
The CO patting him down looks like a teen himself.
