I borrowed large amounts of money from relatives twice in my life. In both cases, we drew up an agreement stipulating how much was being borrowed and when it would be paid back AND it was signed by both parties. One agreement was for $10K to be paid back $500/mo x 20 months. The other--$800 to be paid back within 60 days. Upon the final payment, I received the signed agreement marked "Paid in Full". My stupidity got me into both fixes, and the their prudence got me out of them. I was and still very VERY grateful for their kindness. The signed agreements were done at MY insistence to protect the interests of the "lender" and to prevent dramas (such as the one being depicted her) from happening.
Always a reg flad when the person who is accused of borrowing money talks about how much money they make and therefore they wouldn't borrow money and do not need to borrow money!
Maybe he should borrow some of my money... what a egotistical child, he makes $2500 a job not $2500 every single week. Lying dirt bag probably screwed his brother he does look like a bully.
there is literally no point of time in history where families wouldn't fight over money and take it to their graves. stop making shit up to "prove a point".

I believe the defendant did borrow 3K based on how cocky & smug he is. I think the plaintiff figured the debt his brother owed him should be credited towards the damaged car. Unfortunately the plaintiff trusted his brother to much.
In this case, the plaintiff lost because he did not have evidence, and the defendant swore he didn’t borrow it. A court has to go by evidence , otherwise anybody could come in and claim someone owed them money, and the court would facilitate stealing. The other possibilities are , if no one is lyeing, is that someone forgot, or an imposter pretending to be the brother scammed him.

The gospel by which we're SAVED. 1 Corinthians 15:1-4 (KJV)(1) Moreover, brethren, I declare unto you the GOSPEL (good news) which I preached unto you, which also ye have received, and wherein ye stand; (2) By which also ye are SAVED, if ye keep in memory what I preached unto you, unless ye have believed in vain (self). (3) For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that CHRIST DIED for our SINS according to the scriptures; (4) And that he was BURIED, and that he ROSE AGAIN the THIRD DAY according to the scriptures. READ, UNDERSTAND, BELIEVE (from the heart by FAITH) and be SAVED
I think if she's going to crumble that statement from this man and say she needs to talk to the witness, she needs to do that to anyone else who walks in there with a paper from a witness she can't personally speak to!! This is the first time I've seen her do that!
I thought it was disrespectful too, but then when she pointed out that he was able to get the letter a year and a half later and have it notarized, but not know how to contact him, I better understood why she thought it was BS
@beewell8683 Actually, I don't even think it was notarized. I think she knew he was lying. How do you not have a way to contact your "friend" but you were able to get him to sign a letter a year later🤔
sad to see. i have a sibling but i would never sue. if money is involved with relatives, i have to be comfortable with knowing that i'm not getting paid back. i give it. it's for them. ...likely, i'm giving the money for education, a car, or something is a necessity, not something frivolous. so the reason why they want to borrow has to make sense to me, lol.

10k is a lot of money. I don't know anyone who'd loan me that much less feel comfortable doing it
I was thinking the same thing, like can I join his family 🥺

It's very disturbing to see family members fighting over money. Families nowadays take kinds of disputes like this to their graves.
So very true and the reasons for the fights are never worth completely severing ties for the rest of your life.
You apparently have never heard of the Borgia family.

When the judge tares up something from someone in her courtroom shows such disrespect

If you have to sue family, they aren't family anymore. (Family Law Attorney here)
Judge Milan is ridiculous sometimes with her arrogance! She crumples up the affidavit and crumples up other evidence at times!
I agree... that was a legal document! It was notarized, therefore the author "swore under oath" that it was true... she does not need to speak to him!
I found out many years ago--- don't loan money to friends or relatives. If you want to help them, give them the money.
God bless everyone here

I usually cut the amount in half. People exaggerate all the time. Especially when they are trying to impress.
