- The 2022 UK gold sovereigns will have a special Royal Coat of Arms design for the Queen’s Sapphire Jubilee. In this video we're discussing the facts, opinions, possible designs and more! We even have a little help from our favourite CoinTuber, Christopher Collects, who helped us look through previous sovereign designs.

Loved the look at all the different previous designs. The 2005 one is amazing!
It really is!
Regarding 9:04, the designer of the 2016 obverse of Elizabeth II Regina sovereign was James Butler who also designed the 2015 QEII Longest Reigning coins as well as the 2005 Horatio Nelson coin. The designer of the reverse of the 2022 Platinum Jubilee sovereign is Timothy Noad who also designed the reverse of the 2005 as well as the reverse of the 2002 sovereign.
Some amazing coins there, thanks for sharing your knowledge!
Loved the videos Christopher has done with you all.
We agree. Hopefully we will get to do more videos like this in the future.
Never be able to afford these but one can dream
Great stuff Christopher 👍🏻
That copper gold completely wrecked a great coin
Good to see you Christopher, hope we get something a bit special with the reverse and not get the Royal Coat of Arms that's already used on bullion coins. With the hype around great engraver series coins it would be a slick move to rework Jean Baptiste Merlen's original design. The 2002 attempt was lacking.
Thanks Dave. We hope so too!
Those platinum jubilee works well in the double sovereign
Interesting, such beautiful designs.
They are!
A bit of an audio editing mistake going on at 2:20
Thanks for the heads up! There'll be a walk of shame going in to the office on Monday. Ha!
Very nice..
CHARDS, they dont have to wait until after christmas to get the coins, they get them before everyone else, more than likely they go and pick up their enormous supply from the mint bfore they get released to every one else
The couloir is horendous on the new one
