    One simple video like this, for people that don't know what the inner workings of a Boxer motors is like, will make any man 's head spin. Thankfully, you have done enough to calmly explain the process while you are working rather than explain it in detail but nothing to show for it while it's happening. Know what I mean? Purrrrfection!!! Why? 'cause at the end of the day, they purrr(Or growl, depending on whom you ask).

    Very well explained 💪Looking forward to do this in my 15 STi, I'll be doing stage 3 and flex fuel, stock engine, stock VF48 at the time, I'm changing my mind now with the injectors, i was planning to get 1300cc but now I'll get 1700cc instead. Is the ETS 3.5" FMIC good enough for this setup?

    • @Motocrosser1222
      @Motocrosser1222 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      How do you like the series white so far? I have a 2017 WRX Limited that I'm considering trading in for the series white STI in the next week or so. I'm having trouble deciding if I want to get the last of the EJ engine or wait for the next generation.

    • @mattwilson7010
      @mattwilson7010 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Motocrosser22 I absolutely love it. It being the last of the EJ’s was a big part of my decision. I own a 16 forester XT with a FA and wanted a EJ before it was gone. Buying used with these cars is a huge gamble and I plan on keeping it forever. I love the fact its still so analog. It Really forces you to DRIVE it. I hate cars with driving nanny’s. It doesn’t spool as fast as a FA but that in my opinion is the only down side. The transmission is so satisfying and feels great. The Bilstein suspension matches with the cup 2 tires is next level but not so harsh you don’t want to daily it. As far as looks go the color and rims are only rivaled by the hyper blue. I’m 2k miles in and I’ve hit the canyon’s and mountains twice. Did 200 miles this weekend and loved every second.

  • @Tonyromeo1970
    @Tonyromeo1970 4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

    I have a silly question and I hope it comes across the right way... If all of these mods make the engine run better and in some cases be more reliable, why wouldn't Subaru implement at least some of these after market mods/upgrades? I ask because I am waiting for my 2020 STI and it's mind boggling to me that a brand new series white owner would just throw his warranty out the window with the confidence that he won't have any issues with his engine? Thanks love the videos & your work and knowledge.

    • @baberam
      @baberam 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Braw.... turbo noises drive non car people mad crazy. Any little noise and the owner of the car will freak out n take it to the dealer n pay $100 to change their wiper blades. Plus who needs warranty when you swap built blocks for stocks from IAG every week lol. Also performance enhancing mods or bolt ons are not cost effective for the normal/average consumer. Subaru pays $0.01for that plastic quiet intake. Versus 10$ for a “performance” one. Then times 10,000 STI’s later there’s not much profit there. Kind of like why the S209 is $65k+ n then if you want tires that’s an extra couple grand!! Lol

    Here's a DIY question: HOW do you go about removing and deleting the secondary air pump? It's clearly removed in this vehicle ( it usually sits to the right side of the alternator, you can see that empty space at 1:51 ) and I am desperately wanting to do something similar to my 2018 STI. Is it something you can achieve in your garage or should you shop it?
    Thanks!

    Yo bader! thanks for this video! and that TB coolant delete! what do we do with the throttle body nipple after the delete? Also, can we get by without taking off the AC line and belt?? just the alternator and power steering. If we are using the cobb/iag premade lines, do we still do the brake cleaner and watering the hose? Thank you so much! for fullfilling this request.

    • @BaderBuiltRacing
      @BaderBuiltRacing  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      You can leave them open on throttle body or put rubber caps on them. I dont suggest trying and take off intake manifold with a/c still bolted to the engine because you are going to fight it 10x more and the a/c line runs right across the driver fuel rail area and theres a good chance you will bend it. If you have bought pre made hoses, im sure they already took the time to clean them out due to not everyone having that knowledge that they should be cleaned.

      _BaderBuilt ahh thank you so much bader! this video is god send! you wer saying that the ac line belt is stretchable? so i can just pull that thing off right, then reinstalling it, just stretch it out to fit?

    • @BaderBuiltRacing

      depends on the dyno since they all seem to read different. Trap speeds have showed 650-700whp is usually limit of them.
