Bacardí is Puerto Rican rum. It was cuban when it was made in that country. Now it is made by Puerto Rican hands. So, it is Puerto Rican. In fact the island has other rums, like Barrilito, Don Q, etc. Don Q Gran Anejo and Bacardí are among the best rums from Puerto Rico. Some estimates 80% of all rum consumed in the US comes from the island. Ron del Bariilito, the "Cognac of the Caribbean," is a blend of rums aged six to 10 years in charred oak barrels.
That name is part of Cuban history and independence, that Bat is Cuban and is a symbol in our folklore as well. But most of all that formula is the orginal Cuban formula, don't forget that. Read the Label Fundada en Santiago de Cuba, can't escape the Heritage.

That's insane I was at Vaca Brava last week eating that dish of Red Snapper on a stick ....the next day we went to Raices accross the street it's a place for gourmet Puertorican food...both places are excellent.
The food at Vaca Brava is as good as it looks! So delicious. My boyfriend ordered the kankan and I got the fried pork chop chunks, do not remember what the dish is called, sorry. The meal was unbelievable! Hopefully our trip this last February will not be our last because we were only able to see a few of the many things that I know PR has to offer.
Would love for you to come down to PR again and see some of the off the beaten path sites. With 200 rivers we have so many waterfalls and incredible natural swimming pools. I know locals love their Don Q y Barrilitos Rum....would be interesting to see the difference. K Bueno Ecotours :)
There are various places to visit on the island besides just San Juan. Next time try Isabela, Cabo Rojo, Aguadilla, Lares and so on. Every place is different and special. 🤗

Sadly, Puerto Rican food is terribly underrated in the USA. Here in Minnesota I have several Mexican pals who love the food from their culture, but they confess to me (born in Mayaguez) that Puerto Rican food is the tastiest thing there is anywhere. I absolutely love Moijotos and you are so right they taste different everywhere but the absolutely BEST Moijotos I've ever had are at Havana 1957 in Miami and they served with cut sugar cane inside! Damn Damn Damn! Just wondering Can a Moijoto be made from the BACARDI legacy?
You should try DonQ rum, most islanders drink that. Bacardí is good but it is way to global. If you want a local rum try DonQ or Barrilito. Enjoyed the video ✌️✌️✌️
