I use passive radiatos for 18 years ago.. in cars stereo.. Making powerful sub wafer from spare tire place... I use regular woofer.. take down magnet , painting for whater protection... Mount on outside , woofer inside... I shake apart every gas station ..++ .. 😂😂 Fun time's.. 🎉🎉
Celestion was a big user of Bass Radiators on its high end speaker systems dating back to the early 1970s - especially the Ditton 66. So its definitely not a new thing, although more and more speaker manufacturers are making use of the technology.
@@Scala916 I have a jbl xtreme, when I press the passive radiator the other side comes back after few millisecs ...so I guess it's necessary to keep a hairline gap for the excess pressure caused by the bass to sustain the speaker ?
Instead of pushingnair put of a hole or tube, the radiator using air pressure caused by the sealed box, vibrates and creates low bass sound. Its a clever trick.

Q.: does passive radiatar makes a speaker waterproof ? Q.:bhai passive radiatar are better made with metal or better with plastic ......... Please send me the answer............#really #helpfull
I am from Germany - I had no issues at all understanding this excellent explanation - for sure you cannot deny the accent but still good to follow an understand as the talking speed is well chosen to follow. I had a couple of irish friends at uni - far more difficult to understand them althought it was said to be mother tongue "english"...
Great presentation, so the vibration resonance help create low bass response

Superb explanation. Any size ratio between woofer and passive radiater?
They are generally the same size.
Yes, you need 2 passives per 1 active, or the active will overpower the passive and will make noise.
Nice information thanks

no offense, but some closed english captions would be an immense help. Your accent is difficult to understand for a typical american.
Thank you for your Suggestion. We've added closed captions for this video.
Wasn't hard for me to understand
It's a thick and heavy accent but it's not hard to understand.
