- Here is your full guide to restoring cleaning, washing, and re-shaping your vintage snapback hats. This four step process will teach you all you need to bring your hats back to life no matter how dirty the hat is. This works for all vintage hats including Sports Specialties, Logo Athletic, Starter, and many other rare brands
This is a full guide, but understand all vintage hats are different so be careful since different brands use different materials and dyes that can be harmed using this cleaning process. color bleeding is very common if not cleaned properly.
Full process includes four steps
1: Wash
2: Steam
3: Reshape
4. Final touches

Cleanest hat restoring I’ve seen and I’ve been deep down the rabbit hole
WOW! I appreciate it!!!
This is exactly what I’ve been looking for. And agree with you man, seeing all that muck leave the bucket is a big victory!
Such a satisfying feeling haha, thanks for the support!
Legend bro. Best hat cleaning tutorial I’ve seen and I’ve seen a lot. Coming from a hat lover in New Zealand! 🇳🇿 😎
Wow, thanks! I appreciate that
As a person who has never attempted my own cap restoration, I can't stress how comprehensive and succinct this was. GGs
I appreciate that🙏🏼🙏🏼

You bet!
That was a really good video you really restored those hats. I've seen other hat cleaning videos that seems like they switched the old hat with new ones😂😂
Hahaha I know what you mean. None of that here! All legit. I appreciate it!🙏🏼
Great cleaning video! What’s your rotation look like? After wearing a hat do you clean and then store in the plastic box?
Awesome shit , thanks for making
Glad I can help! I appreciate it

Glad it helped!
@@Premium32vtg I'm new to this so I've been peeping game

Will the towel portion help any with vintage foam trucker hats that have started to flop?
The goat 🐐
I appreciate it my man🙏🏼
Good tutorial, I use cold water as well. Hot water ruins wool material hats. Have you had color bleeding on hats, if so bow do you fix it?
Yes!! Cold water always! I haven't had color bleeding happen in a while, but the best way to prevent it is to try to dry the hat as fast as possible after washing. I've seen people use fabric markers to color over the staining, but I'm still searching for best methods
@@Premium32vtg theres carbona color run remover, havent try it. I felt that the reason my hat had color bleeding is because it was “new” so the dye was ran. It is vintage though so im suprise color was bleeding
Thanks, very informative. The proof is in the water!😮
Where can I find a hat mold? I'd rather not use a towel.
@@I-95_Estates I use a plastic tupperware container 🫙 i paid 3 dollars
Great video explained step by step, really appreciate that - would love to find a hat mold, any suggestions?
Thank you! I appreciate the support. I don't have any good sources of those, but I am working on sourcing my own.
Great video! Do you think this same method could be used for wool hats?
Yes!! The only difference is that I would recommend patting them dry because they may take longer to dry. Everything else is the same
yo WHERE did you get that MOLD? I cant find it????? I gottaaa have it bro
Where’d you get the hat mold from?
Got it a while back from someone on IG. Working on sourcing my own soon hopefully

Link to hat mold ? Want to reshape a few new era hats I have. Some come a bit too boxy in the front of the crown.
I don't have a direct source, but I'm working on making my own version. Stay posted
Can you link the hat mold that you used?
I got it from a seller in New Zealand two years ago but I’m working on sourcing my own to sell!
@@Premium32vtg Great! I'll be looking out for when you'll sell your own!

Where did you get that hat mold please?
I got it from a friend in New Zealand that had a small batch of them made. I’m working on making our own versions🤘🏼
@@Premium32vtg interested in buying a hat mold
How about wool fitted hats? Do the same?
Same thing! However, for shaping them, you may be better off using the towel method once you can’t tighten the hat around a mold with the snaps
Bro, you gotta let us know where to get this hat mold Iol you holding out on us
I got it so long ago, I’m working on making new ones because there’s none in the market right now
