    At 2:01 she says that you can just copy and paste your prepared answer into the answer box. This is true, but beware that UofT will flag your answer for suspicious activity if you have copy and pasted an answer, so it would be better to prepare an answer beforehand and learn/memorize it instead of copy and pasting.

    For Rotman Sup App, I was told not to copy and paste since the website may report this action to the committee.

      Hey! In that case, you can definitely just type out your prewritten response so you still have the same information there!

    Thank you guys for posting really helpful and informative videos! I am applying (my supplemental application) to Rotman in the next couple of weeks and I am wondering if the 150 words for the written question is a strict limit? Will Kira talent allow me to type a few words over the limit or does it stop you? Thanks!

    • @theguotwins
      @theguotwins  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      If I remember correctly, I believe it does cut you off. Try to craft your answer so it’s between 130-145 words and you’ll definitely be in a good spot. Also, I remember there were a few questions that you knew ahead of time so make sure to pay a lot of attention into writing those, make every word count :) Thank you for your comment and good luck!! - Salina

      @@theguotwins Hello again:) Thank you for your response! I have another question; for the written question about summarizing an article, did you include the name of the article, the writer, and the place the article was posted? Or do you leave those things out?
      If you did include the title of the article etc was it a part of the word limit? Thank you!!

    • @theguotwins
      @theguotwins  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@teyaknightingale Hey! No worries! For that, we did include the title since it provides some context into the article and briefly mentioned where it is published- not sure if you need the author unless they are an extremely prominent person. For eg. "Bloomberg's *insert title of article*.....". From what I remember, it is included in the word count! Let us know if you have any other questions, love to answer them!

    • @theguotwins
      @theguotwins  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Emily! My personal opinion is that it matters more how you describe the impact you have even if its "not strong". As long as you try to be genuine, passionate and detailed, you can definitely weave any experiences into a story for your application. Glad you found this helpful! - Salina

    Thank you for sharing this! It's so helpful :) When did you apply to each of these schools (+ when did you submit the supp apps)?

    • @theguotwins
      @theguotwins  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hey J! We applied on OUAC (Ontario University Application Centre) which is the website used for Ontario universities in October/November- here we paid the money to submit the applications to the schools but for the supp apps for the above business schools, we did majority during the winter break and finished some up by the 2nd/3rd week of Jan (depending on their due date). Let us know if you have any other questions!

    Hi thanks alot for posting this video, I am applying for Schulich business school too and I am hoping to get admitted soon however, what I feel struggling was the time written question in the supplemental application since it only allows me 5 mins to type :)))))) can you have some tips for that ? Thanks a lot !

    • @theguotwins
      @theguotwins  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hey! Glad you found it helpful! Some tips would be to definitely practise as much as you can (use any past questions that you can find off Reddit or official sites.etc.) and if you're a slow typer, be sure to also do some online typing practise since that will end up saving you some time. Before you start writing, spend 30s-1 min thinking about the structure of what you're going to write and what overall point you want to communicate that way you have an overarching idea to guide you- you probably won't have that much time to think after that since you'll be typing your ideas down. Overall, that written part isn't too crucial so focus more of your efforts towards the written supplemental :) Good luck!

    Hello, I’m in grade 12 at the moment. I’m really struggling accessing these supplemental applications for DeGroote. I would appreciate it if you could help me. Thanks

      Hi Asmeet. You can find the supplemental application for Degroote on their website, I did a quick search and this is what I found: ug.degroote.mcmaster.ca/apply/supplemental-application/ Good luck on your supp app!

    • @theguotwins
      @theguotwins  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@asmeetthakur5576 Np! We did the Integrated Business and Humanities stream at Degroote so since they only took 60 people a year, we needed to do an interview with the program director. I'm not sure about the general application, but from what I remember, I'm pretty sure there wasn't an interview (double-check that tho :)

    Hey, do Canadian colleges require letters of recommendation?

    • @theguotwins
      @theguotwins  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi! Generally, they are not required. Many of them will just require references- you'll probably write your supplemental application. etc. and the university may send your reference an email/call asking them to confirm what you've written/done. If you're an international student, you may want to double-check if this is any different but typically they do not. Hope this helps!
