- The HAKO is Fixed with a Fresh Dry (moist) Sump system and we have oil pressure!
Nelson from Hartley Engineering sent us over a 2 stage Aviad scavenge pump with a custom bracket and drive arbor that is hooked up to a custom Cast aluminum sump using a bunch of Raceworks hose and fittings.
Hartley's goal is to produce some of the worlds most exotic, highest performing, and artistic engine components in a means that makes them accessible to everybody.

Ah Lakeside, the raceway that's the some age as me, April 1961.
Oh and I grew up around the corner from it, used to sit at the back of a mates place and watch.

I like the broad perspective. I like that some weeks Al and Woody cater the show to a client or friend who is 30+ years experience in the field of customer cars and the next week Al and Woody are making Al's son a hoon wagon for mad main street cruises. The whole show is fluid. Different engines, different customers, different generation's, different reasons and bottom line different opinions and style are all welcome and included. End of the day, Woody's hair is grey and Al's everyones dad. So much love for this channel.
I love how good Al is at explaining things to the everyday bloke. By far the most I've learned from any TH-cam channel out there. That, mixed with both of your guy's sense of humor, makes The Skid Factory the best channel by far.
My favourite part of the Skid Factory is when you guys step back from the cars and advocate for people to remember to take care of themselves. Mental, and physical, well being is so easily glossed over today, but when you guys speak up it feels genuine and from the heart. Good on ya both!

My favourite thing about the skid factory is the no BS building and design, it's not gimmicky and there's not click bait like lots of other car shows. Alan and Woody's knowledge is great and not getting scared to ask to learn more is even better. Much like Ed China.
My favourite thing about the skid factory is there isn't any manufactured drama, no ego's or arbitrary deadlines. Just good blokes building cars (well) having a laugh or two and sharing some of your knowledge with us less fortunates.

I am always amazed at just how broad Al’s experience of engines, engine design, performance development is. Nothing fazes him everything is done with so much thought and deliberation. Kudos Al the projects are so entertaining and educational at the same time, I will always be a fan!

Have to say one of my favorite things about you guys is your authenticity. Idk how to explain it, but your banter seems real... not over the top or fake/goofy. My favourite thing about the Skid Factory is seeing and hearing mental health being discussed in a no judgment and caring way, so vital when so many guys don't feel able to talk about it. The sweet exhaust and induction noises the Skid Factory orchestrates are a close second though!

The best thing about the Skid Factory is the lack of BS. Al and Woody like what they like, will have a crack at most things, aren't afraid to admit they don't know something and get some help, make mistakes and use their brains (mainly Al's) to move forward. A refreshing change to most people on TH-cam and Facebook, and just a pair of genuine Aussie blokes.

Woody’s laugh at the end when he drops it back a gear and nails it - awesome! Geez that thing finds another leg up in the rev range. My fav thing is you two QLD fellas doing great work, but always entertaining as well. Some other car mod channels just buy boxes of gear and bolt it on. You guys (and sometimes your friends) are fabricating most of the stuff you do.

Best thing.... ACTUAL mechanical alterations and explanations. If AL doesn't know, he admits it and get the pro's on screen to teach him. A true mechanic is always learning.

I have been watching Al and Woody since the mighty car mod day's. I now look forward to watching the show every week due to the guys being down to earth and family guys . The show is very family friendly.

The best thing about TSF is sharing Al's knowledge and experience. TSF help raise the standard for modifying cars which is sorely needed. Al is even more experienced than Woody's hair looks!
