- VK56 & Tr6060 converted 1971 Nissan Skyline Hakosuka. Could this be the perfect JDM Restomod combination?
Today on The Skid Factory there's a bunch of progress made on the Hulkosuka including sorting out the suspension, Gear shifter location and crossmember modifications. With everything now removed we're ready to send it all off for powder coating.

I have beenholding off getting a new Ridgeback after losing my mate, I think seeing Roger has tipped me in !!!!
I think I love Roger, make sure we see lots of him. Hopefully he will fill the space Rumbles left.

11:03 To increase your oil capacity to 8 liter, you can add a "Engine Oil Accumulator". 2 or 3 liter sizes available. With a solenoid valve, it can also function as an engine pre-oiler and will prevent oil loss during hard turns/acceleration.

That doesn’t really increase the amount of oil in circulation though. Having extra capacity helps with cooling and can help give the oil time to settle out any air before getting sucked back up.
An accumulator can help if the pickup is getting uncovered, but the oil it holds isn’t normally in circulation so just sitting in the accumulator.
Rumbles is up in the sky lawn chasing the mailman for sure.

Always hurts loosing a pet, the only downside to a dog in my opinion is that don't live long enough for the love they give. But getting a new one helps lessen the pain even just a little bit, commiserations for Old Rumble, I know my 13 year old Bella will probably join him soon, but congrats on little Roger, and I'm sure he'll be your grommets and your best mate for the time he blesses this world.
Always hard to loose a pet as they can't tell you something is wrong. So massive condolences. Roger looks like he is living his best live with cool cars and being the new skid factory mascot. You will have to take hime to shows with you.

If the rear cross member pins are the same design as the datto 1600 there is a big grommet in the floor skin under the rear seat. Check the welds on top of pin, we used to cut the floor hole bigger and weld em in better, dont know how long they will enjoy 500 HP....
Saw a new Patrol at the drag strip and thought of this car, it was fast too

That side pickup scares me. Is it possible to tig a pipe extension onto the threaded filter fitting so the actual pickup point ends up in the middle of the sump even though the exit stays in the side? Might need to holesaw access through the baffles tho. Great job on the sump, I'm just paranoid about oil starvation on a sustained right hand drift.

I would suggest a external oil resevoir somewhere down the line. At least it will have the capacity. Or you could use a aa accusump in a pinch....
