Congratulations Mike ! So happy to see the old 190 running ! I think the accumulator is more important than you think ! The 5th injector seal may be for the cold start injector ! Also the temp sensor is INE of the factors that tells the cold start injector to work through the ecm ! So happy for you ! God Bless ! Love this car !

You have to hand it to the Mercedes engineers for coming up with a system which renders gasoline almost as inert as water or granite.

The engine is running very rough because there is a hose missing in the valve cover breather that goes to the idle control valve and cold start injector.
Try capping it with your finger on the hole that goes to the ICV and you will notice a huge difference.

From a distance it looks like it that the FD is still a little bit on the lean side. Not sure if this version has the EHA valve or not. The EHA provides a boost enrichment when starting.
I would turn Allen key another 1 to 1 1/2 turn clockwise 1/4 turn at a time and see if that makes the starting easier.
    Food for thought.
    Peter

    • @chrisromanczuk1468

Mike, I've explained how to fix this in the comments several times. 190E has a warm up regulator. Just follow where that line from the top of the fuel distributor goes. Next stop is warm up regulator. Even my 190E 2.3-16V Cosworth had a bloomin warm up regulator.

Hello there cowboy here again nice work with the inferno and you did it without setting it a fire again lot's of fine tuning to do but you're over the hump she started and fun for a short time congrats, now as to the pickup as an old wrench I've seen this before first of all remove the EGR valve and clean it real good and lube it with crole oil also get so Seafoam both the liquid form and the spray type when you got it running even poorly spray it thru the intake however you can you'll have to spray slowly and keep the idale up use the whole can then add a whole can of the liquid form to the fuel tank I recommend using it in all your vehicle's as well as anything like leaf blower lawn mowers ect you'll be surprised add to vehicle's at least twice a year good luck we'll be watching and remember always be safe healthy and happy God Bless 🤠

Good job! Those Bosch systems are horrible when they sit for a long time. Best bet is to get the gas tank clean of the old fuel, then run the new fuel with premium octane until its all gold and clean. I had to push the flap all the way down a few times after it is off till it was loose to get all the fuel out the system and the sludge out. My tank had over 20 years of gas, ran but then would die when you drove it. Also make sure your fuel lines with pressure can hold the 50 psi or more without bursting. After you get it running and idle to normal temperature you can do a compression test to make sure you have the correct vacuum to the intake and flap. Only way I got mine to run when it idled and had no acceleration was to pump the flap after it died to get the air and crud out. The farther it goes down the more spray it gives for wide open throttle. I believe the center screw is for clockwise to more fuel by making the flap go down.
You had all that old orange gas in there so pumping the flap and whatever key on or procedure you get to run the pump and pressure will work to spray the gas till its clean instead of cranking it for fuel.
Once you get the clean gas and hopefully a good compression test with good cylinder psi. You can eliminate that possibility of a problem and troubleshoot from there. But getting the engine hot and running with the fuel flowing will open all the valves in the bosch and hopefully clear it out.
You can also try running it and little presses of the flap with the screw driver and opening the throttle 1/4.
Usually that procedure you make sure you press in the center incase it pops and its little pushes or little press and possible hold with throttle opening to see if the air vac to flap is equal.
If your press to accelerator ratio is off like more press with good compression in all cylinders. You will have to get a vacuum gauge and make sure there is no open or leaking intake tubes causing vac loss.
Even like the hole in the valve cover could have some pvc like system that could make the vac off so you just have to look, pinch lines strategically and see if the vac guage goes up .etc.
If the compression is low it could be crud on the valves, berrymans fuel treatment and moly valve clean has worked for me. But I also do the air leakdown test on the cylinders to identify if its valves or head gasket loosing the air.
Like I said, pure clean 92 octane through the system, run it as you had it to warm it up to get the cobwebs out and slowly try to get it to perform with toggling the flap and throttle.
If it ever stalls and does not start, push that flap until its loose with they key off and then start it again.
Deloreans run the 6 cylinder system, but that flap pushing trick when they stall is key to owning one and not waiting 20 or 30 minutes for it to magically start again.
I just liked pushing the flap because it made that funny noise when it goes down and has fuel pressure.
But when I started driving the car and it died at a stop light I learned that you always make sure the airbox is removable to push that flap and get it to start again or you will be banging on the steering wheel :)
Hearing that buzzing noise brought back alot of memories.

Mike for 1. You should look at your comments more.2 you should stop what you're doing and take your gas line off blow back into the tank. Make sure that is flowing then after that try to adjust your timing. it has to be one of those things.. Other than that. keep up the good work.
