    A light that lasts 200 hrs vs 2 or 20 is far superior! A light where you can carry a spare battery or two easily vs having to charge a rechargeable light for several hours is better, too! Where is the bright, long lasting rear light where I can use a rechargeable 18650 battery AND carry a spare? That would be the best light, bright/long run time/immediate battery change IF needed AND rechargeable. Wow. Am I the only one who wants those four features?!

      You are right Geo… a light that could do this would be great. Send me a link to this when you find it 🙌

    Been using Hope lights (have the Hope R4+ at front and Hope District at the rear) for several years now, and I won't change to anything else in the near future. Super high-quality bicycle lights made in the UK ;)

    Great video, wish I’d seen this earlier as I may be returning the lights I’ve just ordered. It would be useful to hear about the different IP waterproof specifications on an update video as well as some of the new technologies for breaking as we see with cars as well as front and back synching. Also useful would be something about helmet lights.”, I’m assuming you wear these in addition to the front lights vs. instead of.

    • @wiggle
      @wiggle  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thanks Julian, glad it could help. All those points you've mentioned are good one to include in a new video. Helmet lights are almost always used in addition to an on-the-bar front light and some mention of how waterproof they are would have been a good idea too.

    In Australia Street lights are a bit of an after thought , bit like British cars and the engine. So I need something to see with.

    With the light output of stronger LED lights you really sidestepped the issue of most of them being bad, or illegal for road use.
    Off road trail use is one thing, but usually civilized countries have road traffic regulation demanding light to not dazzle other road users.
    So would be time to acknowledge that good bicycle lights have cut off light pattern and focus light to road.
    You can even have very powerfull and long range light in same package with the best lights having separate low and high beam mode just like car lights.

    • @wiggle
      @wiggle  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Esa, touched on this at 3:12 but you are right...a good quality road light has a good beam pattern that helps not dazzle other road users! Thanks for the comment and feedback 👍

    I bought a bike light from a amish bike store that uses a dewalt 20v battery I can't find them online but if you are near amish country they are really bright lights for about 120 dollars that are cheap to use.

    When I'm out walking always have a small red light clipped to my rucksack. In part because off road cyclists use the same trails.
    If ever had a fall it might help Sombody find me. I also carry a small head torch as backup. Because I cycle - I do have lights for that as well,

    I don't understand bike blinker manufacturers, you can buy a high tech blinker or a reflector, but you cannot buy a reflector that blinks!!! WTF??? IS THERE A LAW THAT SAYS YOU CANNOT COMBINED THE TWO??!
    You should be using three blinkers, one for the back and two for the sides, I actually put them on my arms...
    You can charge your lights with your dynamo during the day...

    I'll keep it short: STAY AWAY FROM SERFAS LIGHTS! They are not reliable. Nor are their mounts.
