Time for narrator-san to become a main character, be ready everyone!
The most legendary moment in the history of all of anime: "The countless dragons that rained down were less significant threats...than the humans in the sky."
It's a cool line/moment, but hardly the most legendary moment in all anime. Way better examples in HxH alone, not to mention other series.
Now begins the portion where the next several episodes span in the time of a mere moment where everything happens all at once. I love this part.
there was someone who edited the entire invasion from all POVs together without any narration or internal dialogue. it was super chaotic and only like 3 minutes long.
Dude, ik explanations in anime get a bad rep, but I absolutely love the interactions involving pitou in this- Showing every move slowed down, explaining it as parts of an ability not even meant to be used in such a way are integral to keeping them fighting- love it.
The build up of Killua's anxiety alluding to *something* going wrong, the instinct to just look up in the sky from Pitou, the backstory for why Neterou punches, Youpi just being there cause of how the King was, it's all colliding it's so good.
I just love the fact that Pitous attack takes 1/10th of a second to hit and we see Netero be so many more times faster than that. Not only his movement, but his instincts and senses
I love how they didn't even need to explicitly state it, just make the subtle implication: that was 50 years ago... and no one ever said he _stopped_ doing those 10k punches per day. Just to create that context that if it took him 10 years to throw a straight punch that was supersonic, then after 60 years of this it was about as close to a lightspeed punch as a person can get.
That's why it seemed to come from an impossible position; Pitou's senses _couldn't keep up!_ By the time the realization of being hit had occurred, Pitou was already halfway to next Sunday.
Time for the best character to shine, Narrator-chan
This entire episode takes place over like 10 seconds, and is still SO peak!
I'm just going to say it one more time and then that's it since these are likely pre recorded. Komugi is NOT a child. The idea that Meruem is an "adult" while Komugi is a "little kid" rather than the equivalent of two teenagers reeeaaaalllly changes some important moments in the story.
Oh yeah, we are reaching peak at unprecedented speeds. This is about to become a whole more more fun.
First Uvo yells into the porcupine dude's ears, then Gon yells into the bat girl's ears, now Alicia is suggesting someone yells into the wolf guy's ears. Yup, all enhancers.
You know. Ive watched that "how Netero got G.O.A.T.ed" flash back dozens of times. And Im only just now realizing he was maintaining his Nen aura the ENTIRE time he was doing his punch sequences. That means he was able to maintain it for at least 18 hours, when he STARTED this training.
Thinking back to when Gon and Killua was being trained by Bisky after retreating from NGL, and how she worked just to get them to be able to maintain it for ONE hour... just another reason Netero the G.O.A.T. of G.O.A.T.s.
I'm pretty sure step 1 of the sequence was to calm himself, so part of it wasn't just keeping up Ren he was actively switching between Zetsu/Ten and Ko/Ren each time. I think what's especially interesting is Netero's "potential" is never mentioned similar to Bisky, most of their strength comes from lifelong dedication rather than innate talent.
They've earned the right to be condescending to the weak and lucky.

Being calm doesn't negate or exclude Ren. Gon and Killua were calm the entire time they were doing Bisky's training.
I came to the conclusion he was maintaining his Nen like in the training, because the entire time he was doing the punch sequences the anime shows his aura flaring in a similar manner.
@@Dillsfawn I figured we just couldn’t see the aura pulsing that quickly, to me it looks like during his first set he “powers up” before punching, I took that and the first step to imply “powering down” at some point in the process.
When she talked about welfin being able to hear what bizef types on his phone it made me realize they're still using flip phones and shit. And that's hilarious because when the manga started cellular phones weren't really a thing then togashi added them when they became more common irl and by the time he got to the chimera ant arc those phones were already obsolete and we have smartphones now. In the world of hxh flip phones are still a new thing cause it hasn't been that long since gon got his and when he got it it was presented as a really new thing.
There are smartphones though kurapika an leorio have them in the next arc and i think there were smartphones where gon got his phone but leorio said the goofy beetle phone was a better model

@@bamya1 Shoot used one to check the time last episode. That phone might be Bizef's burner or just what he can get in a country that's completely locked down.
@@bamya1 that might be an anime only thing though. I don't think you see a smart phone before the election arc in the manga but I might be wrong.

111 has to be one of the best episodes in anime history and almost nothing happens. And narrator beginning his "I'm the best character" arc, PEAK.
I kinda already knew this but, seeing this arc again, I don't think any character refers to Pitou as any gender. It's always just "Pitou".
It would probably be most accurate to say that the Royal Guards don't have genders. They rarely consider their own identities beyond their ability to serve the king (especially once the king is born), so I doubt they would feel the need to claim a gender. All we really know is that they're all physically male, like all the other ants the queen gives birth to.

Very unpopular opinion: The Narrator in this and the upcoming episodes is the best part of this already amazing raid.
I think welfin is picking up bizef's speech through the audio waves the phone is sending out and he can hear the ones coming in too, not that he hears him talking directly
That short Netero vs Pitou moment is one of my favorite moments in all of anime.
Netero took "pray your troubles away" and made it a fighting move

Iunno why they changed the name the dojo master says after seeing neteros punch, it dilutes the scene a touch.
In the manga he says Bodhisattva, the original name for Buddha. Netero's punches are so enlightened that people saw God in them.
To be fair the king is like a couple months old

Netero's backstory is the most inspiring shi I've ever seen
Ikalga just needs to get that if the King says leave me the **c* alone; then they would right... that's the loyalty of a dog right. So anything is possible for the dude you know least to do.
Thats why plans get luffyed so often IRL or in fiction.
After, the chimera arc is complete. There is a video that shows all the "same time" events side by side. It it's wild how much happens so quickly.
The King is the youngest character in this show, if someone gonna got FBIed is Komugi.
Netero is the definition of "he is him"
Komugi cannot sense God's Accomplice. it literally erases your presence. not in the hiding you're aura sneaky sneaky kinda way. you literally don't exist to everyone around you. you could slap someone in the face and they'd have no clue what just happened. they wouldn't even know it happened, just that they're in pain and they have no clue why.

Finally the 111 on of my fav chapters in general, the extermination has begun
So is not really dragon ball time. Well it kinda is. But it's a lot happening at once and a lot of it is people fighting and thinling at incredible speed. So a lot happens in the span of like five minutes
Imagine the nen power you get from making a deal that in exchange for this I will do 10k gratitude punches every day. And the longer it goes on, the greater the demonstrated conviction and the greater the resulting power. One of my favorite nen deals in the series.
P.S. I don't care if it's never stated that way. Making a deal with yourself like this is indistinguishable from a nen deal so it will result in power.
