Howdy y’all- anytime you hit a milestone it sure feels good! Glad you didn’t have much stuff left over. What you did have can be milled into useable lumber for future use. Take care and God bless
Hi, Paul- I’m sure the Timbers that are left will get used up or re- sawed. Real happy with how the Timbers turned out- didn’t have to cull very many of them (3-4). Thank you for always watching! 😊
Feels good to have something complete! Even though there is still a lot more to add to the structure, the bents are finally complete. We have a lot more coming up and a lot more to get done! Hope you enjoy this quick video and look forward to sharing more, soon! 😁
i just binge watched your series over the last day and a half and it makes me more and more want to build a wood shop in my backyard. Please pray my Wife comes around to the idea. its been my dream well for a long, long time. And if y'all lived in Tennessee, i know where i'd get my lumber.
Hi, Anthony- Good luck convincing your wife 😁 Maybe you can build her something she really wants as part of the deal?! Sure has been a lot of fun and satisfying to build up to this point. And thanks for binge watching our channel- love it! 😊
Well done gentlemen. Another milestone. Thank you for bringing everyone along, from the timber delivery, cut, stack, dry, fabrication, bent raising and now the final main structural timbers. It is inspiring to watch and follow the progress. I think it would be a great photo opportunity. Move all the modern gizmos out of the way and shoot some nice Black and whites! Be well and stay safe. Really good stuff.
Thank you, Todd- Black and whites are a great idea. Definitely going to clean everything up before any sheathing goes on. Thanks again for your help on this project. Really appreciate it! 😊
YOUR MOUNTIAN HOUSE WILL BE AWESOME. I WOULD RECOMMEND TO REMOVE AT LEAST 50 METRES OF ALL TREES TO PREVENT ANY FIRE DAMAGES. UP DRAFTS WILL BE DANGEROUS FOR FIRE. STAY SAFE
Hi, Claudette- Fire is a concern for sure. Metal roof will help and two sides will have rock up to the edge. Metal skirt on the eaves. But it will have board and batten that will be very susceptible to fire. Not sure if we will take very many trees past this point but the under fuel and dead trees will be a long term goal to reduce fire risk. 😊
Knowing your channel through Martin Johnson. You done a great job. God bless!
Thank you so much for checking us out! We sure appreciate Marty and Julie! 😊

Hi, Terry- Erik is a keeper!
Couldn’t do it without him!! 😊
Going to be a stunning structure looking good 👏👏👏😎👊👍
Thank you- we think, too!!! 😁
Nice jobs now if I was you I would lay down sheeting on the roof the ice and water shield then do the slats for your metal roof
Thanks, Wade- Putting SIP panels on in a couple of weeks. And as much sheathing up as fast as possible. 😁
