This project is tougher than it looks. The the sanding of the stock is very hard work. My nose cap didn't come with holes but the book doesn't have all the Information which is weird. But don't worry because the videos that are assigned will explain how to polish and drill the nosecap. You seem to be better at explaining and doing than the videos assigned so I would recommend this video insted.

Thanks man, I appreciate that.
Taking FTT210 right now, page 26 in the book I have mentions drilling the nose cap
That’s great!
No holes in the nose cap of mine either.
I drilled and taped mine with my Drill press
Why the machine screws instead of wood screws?
My nose cap doesn't have holes as well. I appreciate your video's! I'm on week 7 now and like you said the book surely seems to be missing some info.
Good to know I wasn't alone, I hope my video's help!
The Spring goes in on the 2nd bolt closest to the end of the gun on the lock
You're my hero. HAHA Thanks!
Doing my course right now. We are on week 7 and my muzzle loader didn't have holes in the nose cap and as well one of the screws weren't finished.
Must be a quality control issue. Glad to hear I wasn’t the only one.

No holes in my cap.
Thanks for that.
Today is August 29 and I'm about to complete the assignment in a little bit. My nose cap was not pre-drilled.
Thanks for sharing that. I wish they would have mentioned it in the curriculum
