    15-ball rotation (Filipino rules) is a completely different game. it's actually very suitable for gambling / money games.

    The pattern for Filipino 15-ball rack is set .
    You can't pattern it. The spotter knows the patter off-hand. It's the same every rack.
    Django didn't understand the question.
    I wish I can be there tonight to help Efren when some questions get too detailed.
    His English is very limited.

      I watched a video before saying that by the time Efren had made his way to the US, his skill wasn’t at 100% anymore because of age. I can only imagine how good Efren was in his absolute prime.

    • @ricj6817
      @ricj6817 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@Krozan Since there were no videos yet during the early 70's, when Efren mentioned he played better in the 70's, must be his prime, I believe it remains to be seen to justify that statement. Just to let you know, I'm a big time follower of Efren, so in one of the videos in TH-cam titled "Thank You Mr. Reyes", an interview done by Bill Incardona, Efren mentioned that he played better in the 70's. Bill was surprised so with everyone who watched that video considering how Efren won that One Pocket tournament displaying unbelievable shots. Efren's game was super impressive and to say that he played better than that in the 70's, anyone must be wondering ang imagining, how true it is. Just to share some stories and give those curious an idea, I posted some extensive comments on that video, specially when I got some response who were asking for more stories about Efren. I was there, I saw it, how I become an Efren follower. I'm not sure if you're patient enough to read lengthy comments I've posted. My honest opinion on this issue, I can't tell why Efren come up with that statement that he played better in the 70's than how he was playing at that moment. There's no basis I believe, because I saw him played during the 70's and how he was competing in international competition particularly in US. I thought he even became better because he learn different games like 9 ball, 8 ball, One Pocket, and everything. In the Philippines he played rotation and carrom only but most of the time it's handicapped. I'm not saying that Efren is wrong, but my opinion is purely base on facts on what I've seen before in the Philippines and what I've seen in international competition. To put it all together, Efren is as good as he is during the 70's and even becomes better in international competition because he was able to use his unbelievable talent in rotation and carrom together, making 9 balls, 8 balls too easy for him. His knowledge on the pool table is beyond compare, that he use every inch of it, to execute safety shots that the Americans had never thought of of seen before. The One Pocket is one of the game where he can put all together his talent, that made him one of the best One Pocket player and was easily inducted to the Hall of Fame. I hope I made my self clear... it a a long comment ;-)

      @@Krozan You 're more than welcome dude! Have you read it before or after I respond to your comment? You know as I've said in my comments there, those were truthful narratives and without exaggeration, that's what I saw and I didn't add or made up anything. One of the guy I respond to was so happy and just like you keep saying thank you. He even told me I should have posted it in AZBilliards coz many will be interested to read it. Of course I know that most of those who play and love billiards, would love to see Efren, 'coz he's arguably the GOAT in this sport. He is the genius of billiards, that he can easily analyze and read in his mind all the possible shots in a given position, that never cross the minds of other greats in billiards.. that's why he is the Magician. I will end my comment with a question... what's your thought regarding my opinion that Efren played better in the 70's? Does it make sense at all? Thanks for your time dude!

    • @Krozan
      @Krozan 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@ricj6817 in my personal opinion, I think it’s more plausible that Efren got better over the years as he accumulated more experience playing against pro players over the years. I think he was at his prime during the 1999 world cup of pool where he beat Busty coming from wayyyyy behind 😄😄😄😄. Maybe in his prime, no one was able to beat him at rotation. But not necessarily in 9 balls only. I mean, from my observation, Earl Strickland and Shane Van Boening were the better player in that field, even though Reyes won the money game against Strickland. 😊

      @joeygonzo 5 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      Not 46 balls. In rotation, you race to 61 points. Efren spotted him at least 15 points. But, not 46 balls.

      Efren gave him 46 points meaning, Efren needs to get 96 points to win, 1-14. If Efren misses and Busty got 27 points (14+15 is 29 tho) Efren losses the game, Efren needs to run out every single ball except 15 to win a rack.
