    Absolutely one of the best matches ever... This is a great example of pool playing how it should be played.! Very enjoyable to watch a match played like this....
    No shot clock needed, No looking, studying and more looking and implementing "aiming systems".... Just two great players going at it, and going for it on shots that many would play "safe" on

    people complaining about the small tables. this just adds another challenge for the players, not only do the balls not get so spread and they really have to work on set ups, but because it is smaller and some people say "easier" they shouldn't miss. with such a high race count to 21, this really requires unbelievable attention to detail with each rack. because if you miss, your opponent runs it out. very tough play here no matter what level. so calm down about the tables and enjoy these two amazing players

      EXACTLY. People just assume smaller = easier - not at this level. Pocketing the balls on a 9fter or a 7fter, makes no difference to a pro, a couple more feet isn't going to make a difference there. What does happen on smaller tables is that everything tends to cluster up and it makes running out harder, plus you've got less margin for error with position on a smaller table.
      Not trying to be a dick to people, but if you say a smaller table makes the game easier than I can only assume you've never made a break and run in your life. If I had to put as many breaks and runs together as possible in a given timeframe and I got paid per break and run, and I got to pick the table size, I'd 100% go with a 9ft table. You break the balls, they all spread, you've got plenty of room to move around so more margin for error, and if you can pocket balls for shit then you shouldn't have trouble on a 9fter.

    Rodney is great to learn from, because on his practice strokes he addresses the cue ball precisely where he is going to hit it. A lot of guys address low every time, and then the follow through comes so quickly that you can't really see exactly what is happening.

    These guys keep talking about how buste's cue comes out of his hand when he shoots lol. He does that all the time. He's my favourite player and I watch all his matches and find myself picking up little habits like that when I play just from watching him.

    On the topic of clothing in pool as they were talking about Rodney's shirt and waistcoat, Thorsten Hohmann seems to wear the regular polo shirt that most players wear when playing 8-ball, 9-ball or 10-ball but seems to always wear a waistcoat for 14.1

    Absolutely fantastic match! these guys are true hall of famers and it came down to the wire. I would like to comment on the 7ft diamonds. I practice and shoot on a 9 ft diamond every day and have no problem putting 2 or 3 racks together, drawing lengths of the table etc. these 7ft diamonds are tough in their own right. these tables are really tight and very clustered. Its hard to not over stroke everything and its very easy to end up on the wrong side of your ball. I would also like to add that Americans dominated the Mosconi cup so bad that they had to change the 9 ball to be racked on the spot because Amercians were breaking so much harder and better. Before the change Europe was toast.

    Just realised that Francisco Bustamante at 1:12:33, he fouled the four ball as he was cueing over it when he made the shot for the three ball. Kinda lucky that no one or the ref, did spot it.

    • @sheaquintin1695
      @sheaquintin1695 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      FearToForgetGaming I watched it 3 times and I don't see a foul. he touched the q ball with his tip?

    • @ForgetFearGaming
      @ForgetFearGaming 7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Shea Quintin watch it again and try to focus on the number 4 when he is cueing over it to pot the 3 ball. You'll notice that his shaft gently glides on the 4 ball when he delivers the shot on the 3 ball. Focus on number 4 and you'll see it move slightly.

      In a interview he said he got the nickname because he used to have a cigarette in his mouth all the time while he played when he was younger, even while getting down for a shot. Back then the cowboy movie "Django" came out and people told him he looked like Django in the movie and thus the name stuck.

      I hate bar boxes, I think the standard table should be 10 foot myself but the problem is a bar or pool hall owner can put 3 bar box 7 foot tables in the space of 1 of those, and that's what matters here these days having 12 guys buying beer and putting in .50 cents a game on 3 tables rather than 2 good players on a 10 footer.

      @GlenGlenervo 7 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      7 foot tables can be every bit as difficult as 8, 9 or even 10 footers, pocketing may be easier but position play and speed control are drastically different, a lot less space between balls after a break, much easier to snooker yourself or get out of shape.

    • @BuzzSwiss1978
      @BuzzSwiss1978 7 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Hahaha, American players keep continue to play on 7 ft, and you'll never beat an European or Asian player again. See at the mosconi cup, what has happened.

    • @GlenGlenervo

    • @GlenGlenervo
      @GlenGlenervo 7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Too be fair though Shane did shit the bed at the Mosconi cup. But that's just one event out of the many that he has dominated. Plus the race to 5 format and the constant heckling didn't help. Is he the best in the world? not sure, but hes definitely one of the best.
