Welcome to my city, Saigon. I am glad you were able to make the trip. Bui Vien is a busy and happening street. I hope you will have a chance to partake in some Vietnamese cuisine. Try Banh Mi, Bun Bo Hue, Banh Xeo, and Banh Cuon. Beer in Vietnam is cheap. It costs less than water 😊
Love watching your video keep posting you’re doing a hell of a job we’re going to Thailand in November looking to see if we’ll be able to live there. What do you think? Any suggestion my husband panics easily about everything lol 😘
I think it's a lot easier to live there in terms of cost of living. I was eating every day for $6 and I mean really good food. Housing is also way cheaper. But the only thing is getting any kind of permanent residency. I heard that's near impossible so prepare to do a lot of visa runs if that's even still the case. You will have to talk to an immigration attorney about that. Still many people somehow do it and I haven't seen too many people unhappy with their decision. Best of luck!
Thank you for responding back. If we do decide to move to Thailand after revisit, I am going to hire immigration people to do everything and I think that’s the best way to go by doing that much appreciated. Keep doing what you’re doing and we will keep watching.❤
So great to see you made it to Vietnam. Thailand is a great place to get the lay of the land regarding S.E Asia. Now you are entering the next level. Vietnam is so diverse and the people are fantastic. I am sure you are going to do the usual HMC, Da Nang-Hoi an. and Hanoi. I hope you go a to some of the Smaller off beat areas and towns. Da Lat, Fong Na, Tam Cuc. So much to see an do in Vietnam, and very budget friendly. Traffic is nuts and you need to pay attention but you're just going through phases of adjustment. Phase 1 "OMG Im going to die" Phase 2 "Hmm I think I am stating to figure this out" Phase 3 " It all sort of makes sense and has a flow to it" Oh and any place that has staff in matching shirts is usually not about service but cranking out food. Don't forget to ask for ice for you beer.😀

@BarefootVlogger Thanks for the tour. BTW, the waiter did not speak English, so the seeming indifferent attitude. In Chicago restaurants, they act the same way if they are new immigrants not knowing English. You get the same reception in other countries where English is not widely spoken. People don't want to be embarrassed struggling to comprehend you. In France, many of them won't respond to you in English even if they know English.
Thanks buddy. I know, but there were many people at restaurants who didn't understand me but their body language and patience were much friendlier. No big deal the food was great and so was the experience.
Ho Lee Chit! I like the vibe but a bit too crowded for my comfort level but that's where you come in. Thanks again for bringing us along on the adventure. Stay safe and keep up the awesome work my friend.
Thanks so much SF! Walking street is one of those places you have to check out at least once, so that was experience. From there it was on to much more interesting things
It was just downstairs from my hotel and the food and location was good. But service was so bad I wouldn't go back. Too many other good places. Safe travels!
Great video! I see most wear helmets there. Good reason! Omg my anxiety was kicking in with " which way do I look..wow look at this...wow all the lights"...lol. I need a few ice cold beers once back in room and watch from the patio. Thank you for the time you take showing us your adventures! ❤ 🍀
In the old days (1965067) of my Army stint in Vietnam, 33 (ba moui ba) beer was the standard local beer, but if you might get the runs if your are used to another brew. I understand its name slightly changed. I am fluent in Vietnamese.
He's not unfrendly he just doesnt speak english hahaha... and yeah not thailand. In Vietnam people are just straight up. Not overtly extra friendly or smily... not to say they fake it in thailand, but it is just normal here to be straight up and real.
The service was atrocious. I've found many people in Vietnam to be friendly, smiling and inviting. I was invited over to tables by strangers to share a drink and food more than once. So, I wouldn't generalize that they aren't smily. Many I came across were very much so.
I definitely preferred Thailand over Vietnam... It was just a different vibe being there. Always felt that I had to be on guard. But I still enjoyed my time there. Don't think I would go back again, whereas, I would definitely go back to Thailand, Malaysia, and Singapore. Hope you enjoyed your time there.

Vietnamese bread is very delicious and most popular in the world, especially in countries where Vietnamese people live such as the US, Canada, Australia, France, Germany, the UK, etc. If you return to the US, you can enjoy Vietnamese food here. In the United States, everywhere in the United States, you will find Vietnamese restaurants where Vietnamese people make the food, but the price must be high because the US dollar is about 13 dollars.
