- I hunt for some bizarre food in a local street food market on my motorbike tour of Saigon's (Ho Chi Minh City) districts outside the tourist zone. I also visit a 300-year-old Chinese temple and free some birds for good luck. Plus, I visit a pagoda, Buddhist temple in the heart of the city.

Sometimes I skip over bits of travel videos because of a lack of content or filler in between the interesting stuff but with your videos, it's so fun seeing you do your best to interact with the locals as you walk around, even through the language barrier, and make some friends along the way. Good stuff. I'm glad to see that the local Viets are generally amicable to foreigner presence.

I have lived in Da Nang with my Vietnamese wife and kids and I learned long ago to just eat it and do not ask. I have been to 29 countries and that is what I do in each. I will say in Vietnam there is a soup that is cold and very bright red. This is raw pork blood so if you eat it you had better know where the nearest ER is.

I used to eat quail all the time in South Carolina, delicious. Sad to say, but many places in Vietnam still eat dogs and cats. More so in Laos and Cambodia.
I heard that it's mostly only in the Northern part of the country now.
