I love your honesty and I admire your marketing strategies. The first minute I own a car for the first time, I will go to your website and buy something for my baby car. Can't wait for that day. Working hard, studying hard. Untill then, keep up the good work and I wish the very best for you and your business.
Fonzi, I would love to see you use a black base and then add ghost pearls to a clear top coat over the black. Ghost pearls can add such an awesome effect to regular paint jobs I am curious to know how it would work with Dip.
These videos are so cool. I don't see anyone else going to this extent. If I could afford to dip my car, you better believe I'd be buying from this guy.
i would've preferred a purple over the amethyst, gold contrast is not for me, but enhancement of the color would be ... turned out better than I thought though, less 'gold'. I would be interested in a green over the purple as that is its contrasted color. I really liked the sharksin with blue, nice subtle coloring. I think they all came out pretty well. I definitely see it doesn't affect the color like I would have assumed; but it does create unique colors and I appreciate all these experiments.
Been watching for a minute now..quick question, could be a stupid one but can you hydrodip with plastidip?? I've heard a rumor that it's possible to hydrodip over plastidip..Is that even true? You definitely seem pretty knowledgeable about your craft so I figured I'd ask..keep up all this awesome work though
I would like to see some comparisons between the different clear products and the results of mixing in some pearls at different loads to clear over different colors. I think some very interesting candy colors or extreme color flips could be achieved
I like the way the orange looked after and the blue not the lavender look but the other one its deffinetley a change but yes now what do you need for a spray gun for this dip I see ya have a huge house and stuff just wondering if a regular gun would work as well
It went from shark skin to dolphin skin. I could see people liking that hue. I also liked the change to the magma orange. It became more of a traffic cone orange.
adding the peals made it look so much better the performance series are really flat and boring but the pearls give it much more oh a paint effect instead of just flat same color all the way across the orange is by far my favorite but the shark skin gray has sooo much potential since theres so many pearl options
Can we see a dip job on a traditional semi like a freightliner cascadia for the truckers like me who may want to enhance their trucks looks for show trucks or if they want to change their trucks color and see how much it ll cost and the amount of gallons it ll take I'm highly interested
The Shark Skin with the addition is VERY COOL The Blue is Better on the Left Not a Fan of the Purple, but I like the left again Love the New Orange, for Muscle car guys the new color is very cool I just ordered 4 test colors to see what they look like on my truck The plan is to change the area from the bumper line down in a darker color right along the built in body line of my 17 F-150 (the two tone the factory would not do for me) As I picked 4 test colors if you would like I can shot the truck as is, and with each color test Then send you the photos with my comments You can also use them as you like to help others see the possible changes that can happen The colors I got Color Sample kits of are as follows Shadow Black, Onyx, Anthracite Gray and Root Beer My truck is the shinny Silver and the plan is to give it a lower line of a darker color Root Beer has it's own great story, but only if you ask When I am done I will pick one color and do the final job with it
I want to do a burple on a Bentley Continental GTC.... I really like the poison grape you featured the other day but it's a little too purple..... I'm thinking a 2 step process.... An electric blue metallic base then a purple color shift in clear over the top (top coat) OR a purple pearle In clear as top coat....... your in Orlando fla ? When I'm ready, can I come there for a consultation before we begin ?
I would love to dip my car however i just dont have the space to do it and i cant rely on the weather being nice enough that i could do this outside also dont want to end up painting neighbors car by accident either......what would you recommend?
Cool outcome! Maybe in another vid you could use the amethyst/lavender (it had the most drastic change) and see how smaller doses of pearl affects it. Something like 40g, 25g, and 15g. All the results were awesome, I liked the grey/blue and orange/yellow more ^_^!
@dipyourcar I see on your website that you have a color called 50s aqua in gallons, when will a car kit for these be available??, and is there a video planned for this color, would like to see it before I commit to it
Why did you not add blue pearls to the blue coat, silver pearls to the gray coat and so on, like in the orange example? (For more metallic effect, but not effect the color in any case)
I know we have seen why and how different base colors affect a colorshift or hypershift pearl, but can we (eventually) see what they all might look like in 25g to a gallon concentrations of top coat over different base colors (black, gray, & white) on speed shapes for a reference guide on both the website and a visual guide on youtube part of a series? It seems the video does better than pictures overall in presentation. Because that would take forever to do in one video and that's not your style, and it would take forever to see just one specific pearl on different bases in a single video, hence breaking it up.
I’ve tried shadow black with Color Shift Phoenix. I used 5 grams per gallon. It came out black with a red or orange hue. Can u please do a shadow black where it just has color shift pearls
I would like to see a video where you mix amethyst and shark skin grey. Also I really liked the colour of the mix between shark skin grey and carbon blue, so what would shark skin grey look like mixed with other pearl colours?
The blue and orange looked awesome, the grey with thre blue kinda looked cool changed but completely changed it as well with the purple, but those were too big a change I think
I have a project for my Crown Vic. My plan is Hot Rod Black base. Then a thin coat of Deep Purple Micro Flakes from DYC. I have 15g of it. And on top Brandywine Candy High Gloss.. Honestly I have no clue how it will turn out. Is it possible you can replicate that on a A4 template? I would really like to see if it's a good idea. Got all materials ready for it. Sincerely Henning Kemner TX
That "shark" something, that grey color. should be interesting to see with actual blue. Like strong blue. But that blue should be splash as that time you splash withe mustang with a lot off bright colors.
And Ik tape is involved I'm an idiot for not being more specific on *using tape* I just wanted to know if there is a technique for weird stripes, stop judging me it's a 67 mustang can't fuck this up. 😂
What test or experiment do you want to see next?
dump leftover dip into bucket or smth and after month see what colour comes out
What about if you try a similar experiment but put the pearl into a glossy top coat!??
I always wanted a black paint job with hints of red in it!!!!
PLEASE PUT THE MAGMA ORANGE MIX ON A CAR!!! I NEED IT!!!!
More tests with sharkskin. I really like that pastel look
I like how that lavender color turned out and the shark grey with pearls
I really love the sharkskin one with the pearl mixed in. Pastel blue is one of my favorite colors
I love your honesty and I admire your marketing strategies. The first minute I own a car for the first time, I will go to your website and buy something for my baby car. Can't wait for that day. Working hard, studying hard. Untill then, keep up the good work and I wish the very best for you and your business.
Would be nice to see these with a gloss finish it would probably show more change
That orange came out the best! keep it up man, Love the new paint booth too!
Same here, orange turned out great. I did my motorcycle in magma orange using the aerosol and it came out damn good
Dude I just recently found your channel and I’m loving these mixing videos! It’s so excellent to be able to see just how customizable everything is!!!
Fonzi, I would love to see you use a black base and then add ghost pearls to a clear top coat over the black. Ghost pearls can add such an awesome effect to regular paint jobs I am curious to know how it would work with Dip.
I appreciate your integrity. I just had to total the car I was going to do this to, but when I get a new car, i won't hesitate to order from you.
That orange turned out awesome! I like the shark one too.

Shark Skin Gray w/the Carbon Blue is Sweet!!!
I’m loving that carbon blue on the sharkskin and the magma orange with the nebula yellow 👍🏼🔥
The magma orange one kinda looks like sunset orange from the 2000s firebird
My daughters prefer the purple - I prefer the blue. Nicely done... 👍🏼
The amethyst turned out to resemble a GM color (majestic pearl) my mom had an oldsmobile that color.😍
I would like to see some comparisons between the different clear products and the results of mixing in some pearls at different loads to clear over different colors. I think some very interesting candy colors or extreme color flips could be achieved
I thought this was a really great experiment! I personally liked the yellow accents that came out in the orange. Keep up the good work!
I like the way the orange looked after and the blue not the lavender look but the other one its deffinetley a change but yes now what do you need for a spray gun for this dip I see ya have a huge house and stuff just wondering if a regular gun would work as well
i like how it adjusted the colors made the colors totally different and I loved the outcome of the added pearls.
Would love to see more complementary/contrasting color combos tested!
Would interference pearls work with bright base? As an example, would intense teal work as a base for purple interference?
That Honesty is really admiring
Try Wicked Wine with gold pearls please.
I love the fact that you put your products to the test
It went from shark skin to dolphin skin. I could see people liking that hue. I also liked the change to the magma orange. It became more of a traffic cone orange.
Should try doing the pearls as an effects coat on top of the base color.
adding the peals made it look so much better the performance series are really flat and boring but the pearls give it much more oh a paint effect instead of just flat same color all the way across the orange is by far my favorite but the shark skin gray has sooo much potential since theres so many pearl options
I almost wish you had thrown a couple coats of clear gloss over it, just to really accentuate the differences.
more experiments with the sharkskin please
You're always brutally honest, even if it means you'll piss off some people! 😂
Can we see a dip job on a traditional semi like a freightliner cascadia for the truckers like me who may want to enhance their trucks looks for show trucks or if they want to change their trucks color and see how much it ll cost and the amount of gallons it ll take I'm highly interested
Could a glossy finish be added to that??
Your business practices are spot on, every business should have a Fonzie at the top
Magma + yellow just says 'goes fast' to me. Awesome.
The Shark Skin with the addition is VERY COOL
The Blue is Better on the Left
Not a Fan of the Purple, but I like the left again
Love the New Orange, for Muscle car guys the new color is very cool
I just ordered 4 test colors to see what they look like on my truck
The plan is to change the area from the bumper line down in a darker color
right along the built in body line of my 17 F-150 (the two tone the factory would not do for me)
As I picked 4 test colors if you would like I can shot the truck as is, and with each color test
Then send you the photos with my comments
You can also use them as you like to help others see the possible changes that can happen
The colors I got Color Sample kits of are as follows
Shadow Black, Onyx, Anthracite Gray and Root Beer
My truck is the shinny Silver and the plan is to give it a lower line of a darker color
Root Beer has it's own great story, but only if you ask
When I am done I will pick one color and do the final job with it
I think all the colors looked better after adding the pearls and all but the sharkskin looked more metallic as well. Confirmed!
Fonz, how well does plasti-dip hold up on chrome?
Have you guys tried a red and blue pearl mixxed in the clear coating on a simple base like black?
I think I like how the amethyst came out. I might have to remember that when I paint my Mustang.
That orange looks great. Would love to see that on the mustang
When applying your thick wet layers. What's the time frame in between each layers?
Depends on temp, but on average around 20 mins between coats
Really worthy...... this is never ever a waste of money........
I would love to dip my car however i just dont have the space to do it and i cant rely on the weather being nice enough that i could do this outside also dont want to end up painting neighbors car by accident either......what would you recommend?
Sharkskin grey with a little bit of obsidian black 👌🏼
Or Black Betty.
Classic Alien.
Cool outcome! Maybe in another vid you could use the amethyst/lavender (it had the most drastic change) and see how smaller doses of pearl affects it. Something like 40g, 25g, and 15g. All the results were awesome, I liked the grey/blue and orange/yellow more ^_^!
I'm here just to watch the mixing part.
@dipyourcar I see on your website that you have a color called 50s aqua in gallons, when will a car kit for these be available??, and is there a video planned for this color, would like to see it before I commit to it
Where did i get buy that kind off poweder here in the phillipines
Can we clear coat these to see both side with clear over them
🤯 Plasti Dip colour combinations and the mixing possibilities is now like trying to get your head round the universe never ending!!!! 🤣
How much plasti dip would I need to the cab and front clip of my truck
I can't remember, but what was the green you did over a black?
Love the adjustment on the shark skin
Can you use a gravity fed paint gun with plasti dip or no
The orange one came out pretty nice ! Thanks bud
Why did you not add blue pearls to the blue coat, silver pearls to the gray coat and so on, like in the orange example? (For more metallic effect, but not effect the color in any case)
90% of the time I forget this isn't paint, it looks so good
Would any electric sprayer work ? I know you guys offer one i just wanted to weigh my options
I like the orange with yellow pearls in it, it’s like a flame colour.
What about the paint that changes its colour with warm water. Maybe that paint with hyper shift....
That magma orange looks so sick without pearl in it already I'd love to paint well dip my semi truck that color
So knowing what we know now about Dip Armor, do the pearls affect the way the DA acts with the performance series?
I know we have seen why and how different base colors affect a colorshift or hypershift pearl, but can we (eventually) see what they all might look like in 25g to a gallon concentrations of top coat over different base colors (black, gray, & white) on speed shapes for a reference guide on both the website and a visual guide on youtube part of a series? It seems the video does better than pictures overall in presentation. Because that would take forever to do in one video and that's not your style, and it would take forever to see just one specific pearl on different bases in a single video, hence breaking it up.
I wonder wut the gray with gold would look like
The magma orange with yellow pearl looks a lot like Chevy volcano orange. I like it.
That orange came out nice!
Pre-test I was more excited to see the shark skin one but afterward it was the orange that took it for me
I absolutely love that shark skin with the pearls. Might be the colour I’ve been looking for for my project.
I’ve tried shadow black with Color Shift Phoenix. I used 5 grams per gallon. It came out black with a red or orange hue. Can u please do a shadow black where it just has color shift pearls
Hmm thats a good one.
I really like that lavender color!!
What would happen if you mixed chrome and red? Would it make a red chrome or something else?
I think the add ins would look great as racing stripes on those exact colors
The blue came out nice
I would like to see a video where you mix amethyst and shark skin grey. Also I really liked the colour of the mix between shark skin grey and carbon blue, so what would shark skin grey look like mixed with other pearl colours?
How many gallons of dip will I need for my 97 mountaineer?
Orange is awesome!
WE LEARNED WE LOVE THIS CHANNEL
Sharkskin grey with the blue made kind of a mako blue from the mako shark. I like that one.
The Shark skin Grey with Carbon blue is sweet... I would like to see you spray a Porsche Panamera
That "shark" something, that grey color. should be interesting to see with actual blue. Like strong blue. But that blue should be splash as that time you splash withe mustang with a lot off bright colors.
Can this product be used on a jeep liberty??
I liked all the colors before and after. However i liked all the after colors a lot better.
Wow sharkskin with carbon blue with autoflex high gloss clear over it would be insane
I actually like the lavender color, which surprises me. That color needs the right car, though.
Woooh love how the shark Grey turned ! It looks amazing ! Love the final result
that magma orange with and without the pearls looks very similar in color to ford's molten orange
What about the difference with this, instead of adding the powder to the color... what if it was the pearls into the top coat?
Can u do a video on how to keep Plasti dip from covering over racing stripes on doors (67 mustang GT fastback).
@Joe H it works? the lines look so small and complicated especially on the sideto tape I just want to know if their is any efficient way to do it
And Ik tape is involved I'm an idiot for not being more specific on *using tape* I just wanted to know if there is a technique for weird stripes, stop judging me it's a 67 mustang can't fuck this up. 😂
The orange is like KTM orange! 👍
Would love to see this colors with CLEAR!!!
I like the Sharkskin and Magma orange..
What about doing the same test with same colors and pearls but using the pears as a topcoat
I would like to see that orange/orange-yellow with clear coat on.
I like the new paint booth, by the way you always have a helper. Whos the helper that helps you with the painting
That's Gabe, he's the best!
That shark grey with half the blue pearl amount would be the business
