We eloped in Savannah in January 2011, (from Cleveland, OH) and The Lady And Sons was definitely a fond memory of our weekend! Our photographers took several photos of us outside, then we went in for dinner. I had the pot pie, (it was ENORMOUS) don't recall what my husband ordered.
My sister moved to Savannah to retire. She took me to your restaurant just before she passed away in 2021. It's my last memory of her. She was a great big sister. The restaurant was so delicious and brought back memories of country cooking growing up in North Georgia. The biggest surprise? I live right here in Dawson County, Ga. Dawsonville Georgia - home of Bill Elliott. So this is a special little show for me.

We were there in Savannah one time many years ago but didn't get into the restaurant because of the line-ups but we enjoyed looking around in the gift shop. We did get to eat at the beautiful Paula Deen restaurant in Myrtle Beach in 2019 and really enjoyed it.

🙋 I've been to The Lady and Sons around 2012. It's a beautiful restaurant! In 2013 my son went back there and proposed to his wife in front of the fountain where Forest Gump was filmed! I remember riding the trolley with no air conditioning and it was so hot and humid 🥵 I didn't get to see any of your family members but I did buy your cookbook... I still use it and an Love and Best dishes apron ❣️

I love this! I remember the first time I ate at your first location. It was such a tiny little place compared to the current location. I’m sure Bobby was in the dining room…my husband swears he remembers him. I just remember the wonderful food. I sure did miss my yearly July trip to Savannah this year. My husband’s electrical inspector conference was in North Georgia this year and I was so disappointed because I so wanted to eat at the Chicken Box!!!

We will be in Savannah November 23-28. We are excited and can't wait to visit The Lady and Sons restaurant! Enjoyed, old store I grew up in was 100 years old when someone set fire to room with old elevator with big wheels on top had a weight you let off to take it to basement and rope to pull to take you to third floor. Two doors in that room had line board that locked it .
Paula, me, my Mother and sister Ann had one of the best vacations in our life. A lady that I was caregiver for,(Ms Ruth) loved your cooking show. I told Ms. Ruth we would go to your restaurant (Lady and Sons) . My sister Ann was taking pictures of me in front of your restaurant, people were taking pictures of my sister Ann ( Ann was wearing sunglasses), Ann said Why are these people staring at me, I said ( Ann they think you're her, they think you're Paula Deen) after that Ann started giving me every cook book you wrote. The restaurant looks very nice Paula. I used to beg my mama and grandmother's to open a restaurant. They were the best cooks in the world in my opinion. My grandmother's are gone and my mama is too sick to cook anymore. My Granny made the prettiest little homemade biscuits with her little hands and my mama's were good too. My Granny made the best homemade chicken and dumplings ever. All my grandmother's were such good cooks. I did get my Granny's homemade banana pudding recipe thank God. My family loves it too. I wish I could make those chicken and dumplings though. My mama made the best fried chicken I've ever had. I could go on and on about thier cooking. My grandmama ( my daddy's mama was a real good cook too. Real country cooking. She had seven kids, so she had to learn to cook for a lot. Bless her heart. She was always poor, but always kept her house so clean. Both grandmother's and great grandmother's kept thier houses very clean. I miss them so much. You just don't realize about these things until you get older. So, if you still have grandmother's and a mama that can cook....please get those recipes before its too late. It's so important!!! 🥰🥰🥰🥰
