Jennifer, my dad called from Low Country. He told me the restaurant in Savannah is Mrs Wills. Go early for lunch get there before 11 am, he advised you to go on your phone call the restaurant. See if it's still open because they used to eat family style like 8 at a table. Share bowls of food, etc. We went to the Plain & Fancy in the Amish PA AREA years ago
Mrs. Wilkes has been on my list of places to video. ;) It looks like they only have take-out now, but the reviews I found online for Mrs. Wilkes were amazing. I went there once, but it's been over 15 years ago. I definitely want to go back.
@@bluebellecharm4 I wonder if they have an area where you can dine near the restaurant? Is it near Savannah Market? You gotta check out the Natiral Musuem of the Mighty Eight Army AIRFORCE. Dad wanted to go again with me when I come back. They were rebuilding a B-17 in the foyer. Some much terrific history. I still have lots of pics in my gallery of my Android phone. Outside they have a beautiful British challenge with lovely stained glass
My husband and I are making our first visit to Savannah the last week of February. This is the start of the shoulder season - interested in knowing what expect during this time.
Hey there. Thanks for commenting. The end of February is usually spring like weather for us & very pretty. You should be able to walk through the squares, take a trolley ride, go to River Street & it shouldn't be very cold. But now that I've said that a cold snap will probably pop up. 😳 Savannah weather can be unpredictable sometimes. I'd bring a variety of types of clothes just to be sure. I hope that helps. I also have a springtime in Savannah video.
I'll have to try an Armie Palmer. Paula doesn't cook there anymore. When we were there our both had a divider wall so we couldn't see who was sitting on the other side of the restaurant. We heard this group of ladies from Ohio and they were so loud & rowdy that we thought Paula must be talking to them, but our waitress said no, it's even crazier when Paula comes into the restaurant. 💖
Hi Stacy! Thanks for checking in on me. I'm just taking a little break. I plan to be back in a few weeks. How are you doing? I have missed hearing from you.
I don't drink tea... but their lemonade was to die for!
Ohhh, I'll have to try that next time. I love lemonade 🍋
My family loves sweet tea! I used to watch Paula Deen all the time. I’ve made her gooey butter bars before! 😊
The gooey bars are so good too! My hubby can't live without his sweet tea❤
Adding to my list of must dos!! Thank you 👍
Hey Jo, thanks for watching and commenting!

I love Arnie Palmer Tea. Mmmm and that ice tea made in a windowsill. Does Paula cook at her restaurant?
