My mama has retired from air force just 2 years back but with a aged retirement then also he got a good bank job so I think youths will get it easily. And just not for job armymen are the most patriotic people who give their lives without thinking and now we see that many people go in army just for jobs. Just think our country has a very less armed forces budget just 83billion usd despite being the 3rd largest budget of the world it is very less compared to china. Then also from 83 billion USD 60-70% of the budget is just used for giving salaries and pensions after that we have very much less budget for buying weapons.
Mam you were in ssc not a contractual employee you knew recruited as ssc . Many join defence because they want to serve it permanently also it gives perks . Contractual army is a private army .

I would guess that no more than 5% of Indian students meet those conditions. So unless you're sure that you can get admission in iits, isi, nid, nit etc, it's better to join the agnipath scheme. You'll learn discipline, you'll earn money at a young age, which makes you understand the value of work and money. When you get out around 26/27, you'll be much better prepared to face the world than the average it coolie.

Of Permanent Sanctioned Strength" of Army/force.(They are absorbing 25% in permanent cadre. That 25% will be equal to the No. That is recruited currently.) Also MoD said they will Recruit 3X more than the current Number(so 25% of these 3X will make equal to the current No.), Hence it is a benefit to the youth, while Army doesn't have any effect on its Soilders age or anything else. Basically, more youths will get Army training and a Net Saving of "25 Lakh" in 4 years. So this is a win win situation. (After their Completion of 4 years, the 75% should be Absorbed in Army civilians jobs, + CAPF, +State Police.)

Using US as an example, you join the army. You do one tour of duty, 4 years. Now, the army gives you incentive to stay. If you do not stay, you get benefits. 1% fed loan, you have four years of college paid for you, you apply for a job, the job application clearly asks, are you active or no active military. You get preference if you meet the skill set in private side. While in the army, the only expense you have is the one you make. Any police dept in 50 states will give you preference. This attracts an American youth to serve their country and taxpayers look after you. Will India be doing the same for its warriors under this new scheme?
Sir my Airforce xy result is pending from last 1 year and now they cancelled that vacancy my 2 years hard work turn into ashes. Some of my friend which start preparing for Airforce before me had been waiting for their final list ( enrollment + joining letter) their hard work of 4 yrs is also turn out to be in vain. What can we do now we are overage sir, if they inform us before that they cancel our exam then we start for preparing for other exams. But they announce now that they cancel all old vacancies of Army, Airforce. This policy weakened our Army and defence because the Army has many regiments which serve our country from 100 of years and if our Army won every war. Than money matter less than Security.
The main problem with this scheme is that it removes the "stable job" character of a job in defence forces. If government is able to make sure that those 75% get absorbed in some job, these people will calm down. It's a trauma in itself to first survive those 4 years to be in top 25% and if you can't make it you are going to find job again with a class 12 certificate at the age of 22-24. My dad is ex airman. Problem is government is quite unsuccessful in providing job to ex-servicemen with degrees equivalent to btech but these young men are just with class 10/12 marks sheet. Training is very harsh and you are getting no terminal benefits. Those who can't make it will feel thrown away and if the number is large, they can be easily polarised. Moreover, they will carry sensitive information after. Honey trap is a major problem. 50% of army is obviously not doing useless job. They plan to have 50% strength of agniveer. Training period is very short and most of the jawans come from rural. It's not right to compare them with ones from developed countries like south Korea or Singapore or Israel.

I think Agnipath is a great idea we are thinking about our internal security in the current civil war situation we need a lot of militry trained people able to face at the time of civil war. They will be relieved at 25 then they will have opportunity to join any job .

I don't have any problem with my B.I.L doing what he does, my point is that there should be a differentiating line between combatants and non combatant posts and in salaries like wise. And perks given to non combatants should be taken as a target to match the perks given to Combatants. Because Non Combatants can serve for longer durations than Combatants in many cases which makes their salary and pension much higher as there is no differentiator. This Agniveer scheme will help in doing so.

Please read this comment as, I found all 3 people innocent over regimentation & the issue at hand: 1) Kids who are already recommended in airforce after clearing all tests, are not being inducted into permanent commission. 2) There’s a strong culture in our army, where generations after generations serve the same regiment. Ones who call it “privilege”, should tell that in how much “money” will they send their kids to ‘risk their life’ at the border, the parental claim over a regiment can be availed once they complete all their training and get selected on merit. 3) Abhijit mentioned there are soldiers that does “boot polish”, I’ve known those guys who went and carried regimental flag in “battle” along with officers and the emotional bond between officers & soldiers, which is a really emotional thing that people won’t understand. 4) Abhijit being a “privileged ward” of bureaucrats, made fun of teaching table manners & ceremonial behaviour, may I tell you, majority of the intake- both officers & NCO’s is from small cities & villages where this skill is not taught, so they teach them which helps them in building relationships with officers of other armies & progress in their career, by equally placing them. 5) we already have an example of this “corporate intake” failing, just talk to a Short service officer who comes out and how many jobs they’re getting after serving for 10 years. 6) In Israel & other countries, they have state loans & personal funds to use that experience to get into a university. How many of these jawan entrees would be able to afford one of those fancy universities which gives preference to “army service” ? None. 7) Why doesn’t politicians, bureaucrats & judiciary start a ‘tour of duty’ scheme, to lead by example before ruining the only well oiled institution? There’s a landslide call the army, we were too “corrupt” to build commonwealth stadiums “call the army” and now the very institutions which are “less competent” than the army wants to ‘change’ their policy. The pressure to be in the 25% after 4 years, might lead to many “suicides” the same as Kota & IIT-JEE. Are we trying to “solve problems” or create new ones??

But the scheme "doesn't Reduces the no. Of Permanent Sanctioned Strength" of Army/force.(They are absorbing 25% in permanent cadre. That 25% will be equal to the No. That is recruited currently.) Also MoD said they will Recruit 3X more than the current Number(so 25% of these 3X will make equal to the current No.), Hence it is a benefit to the youth, while Army doesn't have any effect on its Soilders age or anything else.
Basically, more youths will get Army training and a Net Saving of "25 Lakh" in 4 years. So this is a win win situation.
(After their Completion of 4 years, the 75% should be Absorbed in Army civilians jobs, + CAPF, +State Police.)

Using US as an example, you join the army. You do one tour of duty, 4 years. Now, the army gives you incentive to stay. If you do not stay, you get benefits. 1% fed loan, you have four years of college paid for you, you apply for a job, the job application clearly asks, are you active or no active military. You get preference if you meet the skill set in private side. While in the army, the only expense you have is the one you make. Any police dept in 50 states will give you preference. This attracts an American youth to serve their country and taxpayers look after you. Will India be doing the same for its warriors under this new scheme?

Sir my Airforce xy result is pending from last 1 year and now they cancelled that vacancy my 2 years hard work turn into ashes. Some of my friend which start preparing for Airforce before me had been waiting for their final list ( enrollment + joining letter) their hard work of 4 yrs is also turn out to be in vain.
What can we do now we are overage sir, if they inform us before that they cancel our exam then we start for preparing for other exams.
But they announce now that they cancel all old vacancies of Army, Airforce.

The main problem with this scheme is that it removes the "stable job" character of a job in defence forces. If government is able to make sure that those 75% get absorbed in some job, these people will calm down. It's a trauma in itself to first survive those 4 years to be in top 25% and if you can't make it you are going to find job again with a class 12 certificate at the age of 22-24. My dad is ex airman. Problem is government is quite unsuccessful in providing job to ex-servicemen with degrees equivalent to btech but these young men are just with class 10/12 marks sheet. Training is very harsh and you are getting no terminal benefits. Those who can't make it will feel thrown away and if the number is large, they can be easily polarised. Moreover, they will carry sensitive information after. Honey trap is a major problem. 50% of army is obviously not doing useless job. They plan to have 50% strength of agniveer. Training period is very short and most of the jawans come from rural. It's not right to compare them with ones from developed countries like south Korea or Singapore or Israel.

I think Agnipath is a great idea we are thinking about our internal security in the current civil war situation we need a lot of militry trained people able to face at the time of civil war. They will be relieved at 25 then they will have opportunity to join any job .

@@bharati0101 no, my cousin is retired now. And my B.I.L. is still in service, right now he is holding some post which does Puja Path too. I don't have any problem with my B.I.L doing what he does, my point is that there should be a differentiating line between combatants and non combatant posts and in salaries like wise.
And perks given to non combatants should be taken as a target to match the perks given to Combatants. Because Non Combatants can serve for longer durations than Combatants in many cases which makes their salary and pension much higher as there is no differentiator. This Agniveer scheme will help in doing so.

Please read this comment as, I found all 3 people innocent over regimentation & the issue at hand:
1) Kids who are already recommended in airforce after clearing all tests, are not being inducted into permanent commission.
2) There’s a strong culture in our army, where generations after generations serve the same regiment. Ones who call it “privilege”, should tell that in how much “money” will they send their kids to ‘risk their life’ at the border, the parental claim over a regiment can be availed once they complete all their training and get selected on merit.
3) Abhijit mentioned there are soldiers that does “boot polish”, I’ve known those guys who went and carried regimental flag in “battle” along with officers and the emotional bond between officers & soldiers, which is a really emotional thing that people won’t understand.
4) Abhijit being a “privileged ward” of bureaucrats, made fun of teaching table manners & ceremonial behaviour, may I tell you, majority of the intake- both officers & NCO’s is from small cities & villages where this skill is not taught, so they teach them which helps them in building relationships with officers of other armies & progress in their career, by equally placing them.
5) we already have an example of this “corporate intake” failing, just talk to a Short service officer who comes out and how many jobs they’re getting after serving for 10 years.
6) In Israel & other countries, they have state loans & personal funds to use that experience to get into a university. How many of these jawan entrees would be able to afford one of those fancy universities which gives preference to “army service” ? None.
7) Why doesn’t politicians, bureaucrats & judiciary start a ‘tour of duty’ scheme, to lead by example before ruining the only well oiled institution? There’s a landslide call the army, we were too “corrupt” to build commonwealth stadiums “call the army” and now the very institutions which are “less competent” than the army wants to ‘change’ their policy.
The pressure to be in the 25% after 4 years, might lead to many “suicides” the same as Kota & IIT-JEE.
