As an indian from the south, let me give my perspective based on my observations of whats happening.I think the fall.of bollywood slowly started from 2014. That was the time when the johars and adityas were not so prominent , but the alternative whole bunch who sprong from Anurag kashyaps school - actors, directors, musicians etc. They were quite vocal about their political leanings and started to abuse the majority of hindus in the name of secularism. Their solidarity with students and people who were supporting terrorists/sympathizers slowly got into the nerves of the people. Netflix also started to employ them and the content was blatantly anti hindu. Now during the covid there was a paradigm shift and more content from south got exposure. Have you ever seen south actors actively voicing their political views every day ? They were clear that their job was to act and promote their movies via social.media. To be fair, even the so called karan johar friends like shahid, ranveer , alia etc were not vocal about politics or selective calling out of issues. Deepika made a mistake during Chappak and you know what the fate of the movie was. A few rotten apples are spoiling hindi cinema which has a lot.of talented people.

I think South Korea is using its entertainment industry and fashion industry as a soft power today. I think they use so much of their contemprary social structure and create historical fantasy, time travel, horror, drama, social, you ask it, you will get it. There is nothing Hindi speaking region. In Mumbai people speak Hindi as region native language is Marathi same as U.P the native region language is buddelkhandi, awadhi, braj, bhojpuri, Angika, Urdu and 46 other language which sounds similar like Hindi. And Hindi itself developed by bharatendu in 19th century and picked up from sanskrit lipi. Therefore, nothing is called Hindi region as it is not mother tongue for anyone originally or you can also technically.

As an indian from the south, let me give my perspective based on my observations of whats happening.I think the fall.of bollywood slowly started from 2014. That was the time when the johars and adityas were not so prominent , but the alternative whole bunch who sprong from Anurag kashyaps school - actors, directors, musicians etc. They were quite vocal about their political leanings and started to abuse the majority of hindus in the name of secularism. Their solidarity with students and people who were supporting terrorists/sympathizers slowly got into the nerves of the people. Netflix also started to employ them and the content was blatantly anti hindu. Now during the covid there was a paradigm shift and more content from south got exposure. Have you ever seen south actors actively voicing their political views every day ? They were clear that their job was to act and promote their movies via social.media. To be fair, even the so called karan johar friends like shahid, ranveer , alia etc were not vocal about politics or selective calling out of issues. Deepika made a mistake during Chappak and you know what the fate of the movie was. A few rotten apples are spoiling hindi cinema which has a lot.of talented people.

The problem is that Bollywood had numbed Indians by showing them crap. And there was no competition to their mediocre content. But after social media boom, people started watching content relating to actual issues of the country , and as we as a civilization have always been patriotic and socially aware , people chose other meaning ful stuff over their below average , immature, illogical , dirty , agenda driven entertainment .

@Geeta Nain Guys there is an even worse tragedy which occurred way south in 1920 much worse than Kashmiri Files and this was documented clearly by the British and now a Director called Ali Akbar who converted to Hindusim and adopted the name of Ramasimhan has made and desperately trying to release the movie but he is facing lot of red tape issues with the Censor Board. I think South Korea is using its entertainment industry and fashion industry as a soft power today. I think they use so much of their contemprary social structure and create historical fantasy, time travel, horror, drama, social, you ask it, you will get it. Much of it is hyped, some of it believable, but overall entertaining. My netflix subscription is solely for Korean content and Japanese content.

There is nothing Hindi speaking region. In Mumbai people speak Hindi as region native language is Marathi same as U.P the native region language is buddelkhandi, awadhi, braj, bhojpuri, Angika, Urdu and 46 other language which sounds similar like Hindi. And Hindi itself developed by bharatendu in 19th century and picked up from sanskrit lipi. Therefore, nothing is called Hindi region as it is not mother tongue for anyone originally or you can also technically.

This Hindi was developed in Devnagari scriptto make a sarkari (Goverment official language of India). Let me give you and example as Marathi also use the Devanagari script and same lipi but it was dialect before using the script. All the languages were dialect before and then we put that in script/lipi. Quetion to you is did we human first wrote our script or lipi then we started taliking or we first started taliking then we developed or sansrit devenagari script and lipi. If awadhi people wants to use devenagari script and same lipi then awadhi can also be in a written form like any other languagevof India. You have a inferiority xomplaex to accept you mother tongue therefore you want to say hindi is your language like bhojpuri and maithili people does. I accept your ancestors didnt have any langauge and your family started speaking in 19th century. I believe you are happy now. But for me Hindi is no one mother tongue of you think logically. Also, earlier people had fewer choices so even mediocre movies used to sell. But, with OTT platforms we have quality content at a reasonable price. You can't copy Forest Gump and serve me Lal Singh Chadda and still expect me to waste my hard earned money on it.

The thing vivek sir said in the end , I already did when kashmir files became a big hit - that bollywood will now make movies on nationalism and hinduism , but with subtlety they will fill propaganda in it ruin our brains as well as our money with it - the same thing is happening with Bramhastra , they don't care about the ritualistic facts , the language that should be used in it - baahubali part 1 had used proper language even in the songs ( using shlokas in the song khoya hai or dhivara ) , but just want to bank on the rising shift and sentiments , but are unable to understand that this rising sentiment is gaining considerable consciousness , enough to catch them red handed with their lies and counter them with facts .
Hindus have no problem with criticism, but when we see extreme appeasement and no criticism at all , even with all their demerits , then the limits are crossed .

I have never watched Bollywood. Frankly i never expected this type of discussion. I actually heard it all through.
We need a special session about Indian media, western media, Pakistan and China media, fixing narrative, influencing and spreading communal hatred and division.
Social media, print media and electronic media needed broad scrutiny, people behind, beneficiaries, gainers, loosers, victim etc. Different session part series needed to be discussed. We the audience wanted tobknow insidious information, the business and funding coming from middle easy, western nations.
