- While converting the Volkswagen over to a Subaru engine has been a pain, the real issue is our gas tank isn't made for this year model. As a result, there have been some hiccups along the way.

Love that bus my dad had a 68 even the old toyota vans were awesome
I looked at getting one of the old Toyota vans, I could not find one that was worth the money they were asking. That was before the price of used cars went up
Good to see an update on the bus! It wouldn't be a true project without some type of hang up or delay, and of course there's that one part you need that you didn't know you needed to have. Good times!
Every time I tinker with it, it sees my wallet and begs for money. That is all part of restoring a piece of history
Sorry, Eric. YT didn't feed your vids, but I missed your content, so I looked you up. True, restomods can be a pain, but you're doing well. Love the rain on your roof! Ps: I added the "like" to your vid.
Thank you- YT can get weird with what they recommend
almost need a can opener to get in some places
Ugh- I am not as flexible as I once was. There is some tight spots for sure
Thanks Eric for the update. How much have you spent
Way more than I wanted to- Inflation is not helping much
I know the tank was not cheap, and I see the fuel system would have cost more than the engine. I see how this makes an emotional point and questioned, "Do you keep going.
Just keep thinking of the camping trips
At this point we are "committed" to the project- or maybe should be committed. It will be so cool once it is done
Pull the engine to get to the fuel tank... not so convenient.
I am glad they usually don't need much attention.
Pulling a VW flat-4 is not difficult. Disconnect wiring, unhook wire controls, unscrew 4 bolts, you're done!
