    A great video,it has the potential of curing stuttering.The problem though is that you wake up the next morning feeling fresh and thinking the stuttering has gone and the more you think the stammering is gone the more you wanna speak and test if its gone because it is still new to you and this in return makes you more consciously aware of the way you are speaking and lastly leading to you stammering again and the cycle continues.Any suggestions on getting rid of the consciousness of the way someone speaks and ways of focusing on the content at hand only.

    • @AntonyReed
      @AntonyReed  2 ปีที่แล้ว +9

      You are correct. The problem is where we put the focus. Try focusing on actively listening to the person you're communicating with.
      We create our own problem, just as you state, by focusing on ourselves and dwelling on the fear that we will start to stutter... Which becomes what we expect.
      So, actively shifting the focus to power-listening and trying to see how much we can remember and stating it back to them helps stop the stuttering as well as boosts our communication skills and relationships.

    Thank you for doing this everyone who struggles. You are a top man. I’m now 50 and since losing my job (although I’m ok for cash for my family) my stammer is deteriorating. Should I listen to this every night for a month? And I’m not sure but I think I get woken up by an advert in the middle or the end! Is there a way to avoid this? Thank you again 👍

    • @AntonyReed
      @AntonyReed  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thank you, Jamie. The more you listen the better. Be sure to just let go rather than 'try' hard. This is a common issue with those like us who are susceptible to stuttering or stammering. We tend to be in our heads and can get too self-conscious and want to be in control. :)
      Not sure about the adverts. I have them turned off, but you may want to be sure you check your settings to not move to the next video automatically. Hope this helps!

      Yes, you just fall asleep to it. No need to try to focus on it either. Just let it speak to your subconscious mind while you tune out or focus on your breath.

    • @AntonyReed
      @AntonyReed  4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      No worries. Hypnosis doesn't feel 'different' in some way. It's basically just a state of being more open to change and suggestion. Like when you're watching a good movie and get wrapped up in it.
      Now, if rather than relaxing and enjoying the movie, you concentrate and focus on thinking about whether you're enjoying it or how you're feeling, you're getting in the way of actually letting go and enjoying the movie.
      Don't worry about it and just enjoy the movie.

      Just lay down for bed and fall asleep while listening. Let go of trying too hard and maybe even ignore it. It sounds like your conscious thinking is getting in the way.
      *Bonus Tip for conversations... Concentrate on listening intently and understanding whomever you are speaking to. This takes your mind off of yourself, which is the main worry and cause of stuttering and stammering.

    • @AntonyReed
      @AntonyReed  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Are you a highly analytical person, Mustafa? I mean, when you're listening, are you letting go fully or are you constantly thinking to yourself "Is this going to work this time? Is it working yet? How can I tell?" etc.

    • @mustafashukur4247
      @mustafashukur4247 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@AntonyReed yes, I’m highly analytic person, I tried so hard to letting go fully but I couldn’t. I was successful for couple times during the 3 months that i was listening to your video. Most of the time i try so hard to focus on your words so my thoughts don’t go somewhere else. By the way I always kept your video playing fully during the night while i was a sleep.

    • @AntonyReed
      @AntonyReed  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@mustafashukur4247 I see. Thanks for letting me know. So... One of the main reasons folks have issues getting into hypnosis is trying. If I'm 'trying' to open a door, it means I'm not opening the door... I'm just trying. If you hire a guide to lead you through a jungle, but rather than paying attention to the guide and letting go of your control, you're concentrating on your own thoughts and thinking on whether your feet are stepping properly, you'll more than likely get lost.
      The hypnotherapist is your guide. Your need to feel in control and to always be taking mental notes on how it's going every moment is 100% counterproductive.
      Do you know what hypnotherapists do with hyper-analytical clients to get them into hypnosis? We use hypnotic inductions that distract and confuse that controlling, conscious mind and run it fast and hard until the conscious mind can't keep up and it gives up... letting the hypnotherapist do what they need to do as the guide.
      Now, if an analytical client is informed that what they are doing is actually not helping, but is getting in the way, most will get it and ease up on this desire to control and find a way to let go.

    • @mustafashukur4247
