I bought chances to win the Peterbilt and never heard who won. I’ve asked a couple of times and nobody answers me. Can you please tell me who won the Peterbilt?
Winner will be announced in the next week or so. This takes time as our sweepstakes agency has to wait for the mail in entries to arrive and count those also!
@@Bruce_Wilsonno need to wait, just tell everyone I won the cabover! 😂 at least I’m hoping and praying
Mail in entries after the contest is over....sounds like 2020 all over again.😂😂😂
@@Bruce_WilsonHello I'm interested in purchasing a European truck for the American market how do I go about it.
Does anyone have any links to any companies that would be able to sell me one I'm looking for one or two to purchase in cash 💯 thanks
The winner is always the first one to know. Weeks in advance before the announcement too. So if you haven't got the call it's pretty safe to say you did not win.
Old Macks never die, they just end up being awaken in a TH-cam video after a long sleep. That old dog has been asleep for a long time. She'll wake up and run. Bruce there's a guy who does restorations on B model Macks named Matt Phal in PA I believe. He may be able to give you some tips on the pump. He has a website last time I checked, Phal restorations.
The big canister is a Luberfiner oil filter. There is a filter inside and it holds 2 gallons of oil. It is very likely a model 750B, the model number is stamped in the middle of the cannister. You can still get the filters. And I would definitely replace the hoses on the bottom if they look rotten.
Bruce wearing gloves to clean out whatever was in that truck
Also Bruce uses mouth to remove gloves way to go Bruce
Yea protect your hands from dirt and then put the protection devices in your mouth.no point wearing them unless he gets his hands manicured. He
Hi Bruce there is an actual Mack truck factory in Australia. In Brisbane Australia. They have been building Mack's for the Australian market for over 40 years. 😊🇦🇺🇦🇺🇦🇺🇦🇺🇦🇺🇦🇺
Oh, thank God it’s finally nice to see that a company from my country has been rightfully given to a close allied country love from the US ❤️
Charlie young is alive and well in deer lodge he can tell you all about that truck
I have always loved the way those old thermodynes sounded.....
Yes! Part 2! I wanna see this old girl run again! 😎
Please save the 66 mack. It will be your coolest truck if you save it. Please redo that old mama mama. Keep up the great work buddy 👍
Bruce gota start walking around your shop again!
That hoverboard went straight to the belly!
& old Bruce just luvs 2 push that Damm - "" easy- button "" in his life!!!😂🎉😅😂😂😂
He’s always been a big DAWG
Why even comment that? You must be perfect
@@MattRyanProjects I only 120 pounds person man
@@RickHarrison-ss1kq I was replying to mdin66333 sorry
Had a 1981 Datsun 720 with a naturally aspirated 2.2-liter diesel. It had the pump on the fuel system to bleed the air. Best invention for those back in the day.
Love what your doing with these old rigs keep up the great work
Wow Bruce it took time 😲 too get this truck running condition knew it would take another video for this classic tractor to start..!!
It's pretty cool seeing it has a two peice exhaust manifold (to prevent manifold cracking) just like the newer dodge diesels have.
That switch in the cab looks like a series parallel switch for the starter
Frame that registration paper! And yeah nice vid as always
Bruce it would be so cool if you restored that old mack new paint job you gotta think about it theres not many left like that in the world don't let the iconic history die save this beautiful old girl give her a new life
Make it navy blue and the chassis black, rims and bumpers orange
Bruce im pretty sure that the thing between the seats is what switches between 12 volt and 24 volts just make sure that you replace all of the bad cables because just about all of the factory wiring harness is copper wrapped in cloth and for sure all of the cloth wrapping is brittle and will fall apart as soon as you touch them!!!!! It's super easy to make your own harness yourself or several different places sell just about everything you need to rebuild that old mack
bought one of those surprise boxes and Wanted to say thank you! Awesome stuff in it!
Brother the reason that truck was parked was Cowboy probably got it for a project for one day on a trade or something but that man had more junk than he knew what to do with that place where you pulled the white superpower out of used to be stacked from one corner to the other line up along the roadway plumb back into the woods it looks like a completely different place since they cleaned it out. I used to look like some sort of scrap yard or something when you drive up through there but there was tons of actual treasures in there and old trucks like that just really neat stuff that he got along the years you just had to get through some of the junk to find it. Also that Mack was pulled up on that Hill sometime in the last 12 years for sure I just don't know if it was running then.
is that thing an oil centrifuge just a guess
Bruce good try at starting this old gal, I hope you have success in part 2 want to hear it run, have you thought about having a Museum for these historical old Trucks and Tractors ? I hope someone buys that Red Kenworth complete, the thought of it being ripped apart makes me 😭
Forgive for scrolling quick through the vid. The actual starting appeals most. 😎
That canister looks like a luberfiner. They were a type of auxiliary oil filter. They were pretty common back in the 70’s and maybe further back than that.
You guys are crazier than hell lol I wish I was there
G’day Bruce. You’re on the right track with the stuck fuel rack.
It’s in the no fuel position. You need to lubricate where the rack spins each barrel and plunger. Once it’s lubricated, gently pry it or tap it forward. If you get it to move forward, you may need to tap it backwards through the plug in the cover from the front end.
If it’s really tight you may need to spin the engine over while you’re prying it forward, but make sure you have the injector lines loosened first so it doesn’t accidentally start while the rack is still forward.
I have a video on my channel old rigs down under on a Mack 6 cylinder pump. It might help you out. No need for ether.
Good luck mate.
Hey my paps name is Charley young! I seen that was the name on the registration is their a middle initial or date of birth please please let me know👍 his name was Charles E Young
A laser printer is what you were talking about, Bruce. 😄
Nope...
He was referring to a dot-matrix printer. There was no laser printer at any DMV back then!
Would love to see you guys do an old tow truck
Going to have to make a "the one that got away" t shirt
If you remove the service panel portion of the fender (the roughly triangular portion on top) don't strip the screws. Hard to replace.
Spider shmider....probably only a widdle one.....compared to Australian standards! 🤣🤣
Do not burn it like scania here in finland keep it rolling George
Well Bruce, you finally got your will it start challenge that you been wanting lol
My neighbour will take that best before 2017 toothpaste. He hasn't brushed his teeth since 2015.
1983 i was 3 yrs old with the registration for the truck
do a collab in the future with Diesel Creek ! get the old mack and diesel creeks autocar together haha that would be cool
i agree that would be one hell of a show !
Race those antique trucks, hell yeah!
Fix up the w9 and do a giveaway with it that would make someone a damn good starter truck
Im sure that rusty round thing hanging offf the side of the engine is a oil filter I also noticed on inside door jams is the original mack green don’t give up on that beautiful old truck if anything get it going have your fun in it and put a GMC twin turbo in the old girl what a hauler she will be then mate keep going with her she is very rare truck now i no in Grafton in Australia the same model truck is the the same original green it has a a twin turbo GMC in it it is now a tow truck i wish I brought it when I had the chance what a beautiful old truck
WD40 and some elbow grease should work
All jokes aside, thank you for fixing this old dog up and giving it a new life
24:00 Bro, there might be a big birds nest or mouse house inside that intake tube! It could be totally plugged!
On the Mack forum it says to soak down in pb blaster stick a flat screwdriver in and peck them down and they may free up it was a 8 yr old post but he said it worked. On his B61.
5:15 The last passenger was rootbeer forklift certified!
Well, it now sounds like it has good compression on all six. I think if you can get that pump freed up without having to pull it, you'll have it made! Even if you have to pull it off, it should be pretty easy to get in in top shape on the bench, and she should fire right off! Can't wait for part duece!😄👍👍👍
That thing aint been parked up for 40 year if it has toothpaste in it from 2017 lol. Sweet old truck though, and deserves a light resto.
I think that canister is an air tank for a trailer brake. Ive seen one on another type of truck mounted on the front bumper. There will be a hand brake lever that goes to it also inside the cab. I cant see it well enough in the video to say. But good on you for loosening up the pump there was no way it was gonna run like that. Also before you start it remove and blow out all the fuel lines so you dont get debris in the pump or the injectors. Also put a little diesel in a spray bottle and spray that in the intake instead of starter fluid.
Also, rebuilding those starters is super easy. Most likely just needs cleaning on the armature and some fresh brushes and oil the bearings.
WE USED TO HAVE TO TOWW THOSE MACKS SOMETINMES ALMOST A MILE TO GET THEM TO FIRE. THE FUEL PUMPS ARE EXTREMELY SLOW ON THEM TO START.
Set a trolly up with 24v batteries keep it charged when ya need start anytime ya got the guts in battery pack most truck yards have em set up for when ya really need ya got it
Just gotta stop for a drink and that ol girl is ready for the road
if that rootbeer bottle is an ibc one it is worth about 20 dollars i found one in the woods about 6 months ago
Great work, can't wait to see the next installment 👍💨💨
The top of the fender is removable. The big screws on the flat part come out and you can lift the top of the fender off. Try a temporary fuel supply to the pump.
It would help if you had heavier gauge jumper cables for turning it over faster.
You're supposed to have the clutch pushed in the get speed and then release the clutch while in gear to get it to bump start
Your're working on my dream truck. a B61 with a duplex. The gears go on forever...
Push start always have the chance to break pistons rings, I always avoid it as much as possible.
That cover goes over the starter switch and parallel switch in the back floor between the seats.
spray those old data/chassis plates with a bit of WD40 makes them easier to read
Can’t wait to see y’all this weekend at semicasual watch your videos everyday!
Bruce you need to sell the KW not parted out
$750 in today's money was roughly around $2,400 in 1983 that's insane.
I used to live in Bainbridge Georgia that looks like a old logging truck from there
Your shop might be bigger than my back yard.
Flat screw driver in the spring. Hit the screw driver down after you soak them in PB blaster. Worked for my b model.
Really hope you're going to restore the mack although I don't think the panelwork should be painted other than a coat of lacquer to protect it
I would love to get an old Mack like this and put it on a modern 1 ton dually chassis.
That Scania will make American truck manufacturers sit on pins and needles. Scania makes me proud to be Swedish 🇸🇪 💪🏼
The solution to the starter is......all the amperage
That has a big filter in it and you will need change it and fill it back up with oil
Heck bro you need to completely restore the old girl and snatch that old engine out then replace it with a nice 871 detroit all turboed up.oh yeah.
THAT IN IT'S DAY WOULD OUT WORK ANY OTHER IN THE QURARRY AND HIGHWAY CONSTRUCTION. J. A. TOBIN CONSTRUCTION RAN ONLY MACK TRUCKS SUCH AS THIS ON NATION WID. I WAS ONE OF HIS DRIVERS IN THE LATE 50'S THROUGH 1967.
I want that truck badly. You just don't see them anymore.
It would be cool to get it running so you can use it for a yard dog to haul things around there.
Another excellent video.. can't wait for part 2
Surprised you didn't set up a diesel drip into the intake as well
this looks like the same truck I cranked last year on my TH-cam Channel "Can I Crank It"
Mack is still made in America my friend. Macungie, Pennsylvania
Hi Bruce that old truck needs to be rebuilt if possible it would make a great project truck for young students who want to learn how to rebuild an old truck just a thought
John Deere starting fluid has lubricant in it.
That big canister on the driver side is the oil filter for the engine
What’s up with the Jeep man in the background the one y’all did to Will it start on loaded it up I see it back there all cleaned up freshly painted. We need a video on it. Bruce.
You really need to be running ATF in your fuel right now look up your injectors look up your pumps up everything in there plus it cleans everything out as well
Look like the truck from the movie cars😂
We use silicone spray from Napa to start equipment
I think if I could get it for a great price I'd be interested in it
It sounds like that motor is still in good shape
One of the first real desil trucks I ever drove Had a 230 thermadine original mack engine with a 4x4 tranny
You should turn it into a mad Max truck that would be awesome like the one on road warrior
Be careful those engines can run backwards.......make sure your pushing and not pulling to start....Don't want to put x fumes out the "new filter" LOL Be safe guys..Love the Vids...
I'm waiting on the will it start on the superpower
That canister could be a remote engine oil filter.
These guys an the spider
The big can maybe Lube finer, we had those on the fleet of CO9670 I-H in the 80s
Get her done Bruce!
Bruce have you ever used the Maxwell Engine Start Module? I ran one in my 2007 Freightliner Century with Cat Accert c-15. Loved it and if I ever went back over the road I would definitely buy one again.
Have you thought about getting into MAN or Tatra trucks that four-wheel drive or all-wheel drive stuff is way cool and nobody else is doing it
you ever gonna start the old White superliner??
Charlie had an oil and gas buisness in deer lodge cowboys name was patrick rodriges
I want the whole truck
bet that big cylinder is ya filter assembely for your oil
