    What's your favourite pre-styler?

    • @lukeslough
      @lukeslough 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      I really like Label Ms blow out spray! It’s so versatile. I use it to add volume when blow drying. If you’ve got longer hair like mine, you don’t even need to blow dry it. Just a little bit and scrunch it in towel dried hair, tie it back in a man bun and let it just air dry throughout the day. Remove the tie and suddenly you have bigger hair! Love the channel btw Robin - the new cut looks awesome!

      Reuzel orange coloured tonic is pretty good. It adds a little bit of hold as well as being a tonic. Its not strictly a lre styler I suppose but I find it works well. It also has heat protection if you're into that sort of thing. Ive zero time for blow drying usually so I don't know about that but styling with clay afterwards is always really easy.

      So looking forward to this series!!! Robin i feel like you never talk about ppl with thicker medium-long hair. Could you please also do suggestions for us with thick hair please?
      I got thick medium length hair and im going for texture but need a long strong hold to manage my thick hair. Do you think a sea salt spray with night rider will do the job? What would you suggest for a finisher/sealer? To maximize the hold

    Hello robin. Firstly I absolutely love your helpful videos, makes things so much easier and my hair hasn't been this good and soft ever. Secondly I'm looking at growing my hair out partly inspired by your hair growth and secondly not being able to get a haircut. But I was wondering what would be a good hair dryer that won't damage my hair too much and would it be best to use a heat protector before too, preferably paraffin and sulfate free? Thank you.

    if I use a leave-in conditioner (Cantu Acai Berry Revitalizing) when would I use a Nioxin thickening spray as my pre-styler? After the leave-in conditioner has air dryed a bit I assume right? I have very thin, coarse, frizzy hair so I avoid heat and focus on improving the smoothness of my hair. (sorry for the long question)

    Ive always used nioxin 3d diamax thickener, which you showed off as well. Its a bit pricy, but it's the one that felt the most natural on my hair. Others seemed to add almost a "gritty" texture when i run my hands through. Given that info, are there any others you would suggest i try out?

    I specifically need a pre-styler for texture and hydration, so a sea salt spray probably wouldn't work very well for my really thick, super dry hair. I can't afford to be buying stuff from brands like Aveda and Bumble & Bumble though. Those brands are way too freaking expensive for me.

    I have thick, oily, normal textured hair and I've found a volumizing mousse from TRESemme does wonders to make it look bouncy and healthy. My hair has a lot of volume but itself but I'm trying to grow it out so the sheer weight of the strands tend to keep it down.

    Hello Robin.... it’s me again. Sometime ago you made a rather brash statement Robin.... you said that Oil based pomades or “grease” is outdated and there’s more modern ways to get the same results. Well Robin some of us don’t have thinning hair some of us have thick full curly hair and that alone doesn’t mean I can’t find products that can hold my hair... but I sweat Robin I sweat a lot. So you see Robin a water based product it just breaks down. And I don’t like the dull matte look of other products I personally like to have a high shine restylable product.... now to me that sounds like an oil based pomade but if you have a better alternative by all means back up your statements 😡😡😡
    P.S. Oil based pomades don’t even need a prestyler.

    Hey guys,
    I've been using a sea salt spray for a while now and I love the texture. Since I love it so much, I feel like it's worth the investment to get a more premium product. However, I've heard that sea salt sprays may have detrimental long-term drying effects on the hair. I really want to make sure that my hair is healthy and would be willing to sacrifice a little in texture to ensure that. I am wondering which pre-styler would be better, the ocean mist or the texturing tonic. Robin preaches how much he loves the ocean mist but I am hesitant about drying out the hair. Does the Aveda Texturing Tonic offer comparable while being better for the hair?
    Thanks so much for the help!
