I can confirm that Powell's is definitely worth a visit. I grew up going there, and go back as often as I can. My husband actually purchased my wedding present (a signed copy of one of my favorite books) from their rare book room 🥰 Enjoy all your bookish travels this year! I also look for popular and unique bookshops when traveling.

Similarly to the one in Argentina, there is a bookstore called Thalia (it's unfortunately a chain but i think that's bc the rent there must be astronomical) in Bonn, Germany that is in an old theater in the town square. It is BEAUTIFUL and has a cafe, and you can also read books in the original theater seats!!!
Loved the video, however, if i'm not mistaken, the image at 1:36 when your talking about The Strand it's actualy of "Ler Devagar" bookstore in Lisbon, Portugal. (maybe you were using it just as b-role, but as i recognized it i thougth of sharring) hope you get to visit all of them eventualy.
