How can I tell if my used n52 already has the 3 stage? it's already got some tune , intake and possibly some exhaust work.
If the car is a 330i it has the 3 stage manifold, every other one has a regular 2 stage
Have you had any problems with the disa valves or anything?
Can I just get the disa valves it's self and just put them on my manifold already in the car or do I need the 3 stage manifold itself??

bruh BMW 328i can be fast and very much fun to drive...Mine is 6 speed, FBO supercharged...around 3000 pounds...I beat N54 450hp idiots easily. I'm telling you weight matters and they dont get it. The investment is worth it imo

@@FanniCSIe92 The kit is pricey, I bought it used for $3K...but they go for $5K. TBH, the investment is worth it...think about how much MORE money you need to mod an N54, not to mention the continuous maintenance. You will not have mad power like an N54 BUT you will have enough power to make you happy. Previous N54 owner who got fed up with the maintenance.
Did you build the motor for supercharger? Forged internals?

good stuff and nice build seems like the manifold upgrade has been a major common upgrade recommended within the past few years i honestly dont remember much about performance upgrades for the n52 when i got mine years ago people would talk about, alot of 328s hit a certain milage they would give out and not even bmw knew the issues, but the issues have been flattened out and n52 is deemed reliable again with proper part maintence also i just noticed i watched your pink flamingo warehouse video before this from a couple months back didnt expect that
Agreed definitely one of the most reliable bmws of this generation
I had my e92 328i with similar set up as yours. Euro-intake, 3-stage intake manifold, and exhaust; BPC in NC did my tune and I was getting 193 --> 224 whp and 187 --> 218 wtq. I definitely felt the increase of torque as a N52 is IMO very torque poor when stock. The price and effort to get this is definitely worth every penny for anyone who is interested.

only 275bhp. Imo this is pretty impressive for a engine developed around 2004-2005 and produced early 2006 ! even my stock high mileage N52 I found it pretty powerful for a daily.

Just did this install a few weeks ago love the power difference it isn’t super noticeable until you hit 4k but once you get in it you can really feel it.
Definitely changes up the power, idk bmw didn’t just put this on all the N52s

Thankfully in Ireland, my e92 330i already has the 3 stage intake, but I see you dyed the dash since the seat install? Would be keen to hear more about that as I want to do it to an e39 lower dash.

260whp is a bit of a stretch. You have done the only bolt ons people do on the N52...intake, 3 stage intake manifold, AA headers, and exhaust with secondary cat delete. With a AA tune, most you see is 240-250whp depending on conditions. So you are looking at 270-280hp at the crank. The only way to get 300whp on a N52 is with a supercharger and at that point, you might as well got a N54/N55 car.

I am local to the Active Autowerks shop. They quoted me over $6k for tune including all exhaust and headers. Only promised a 20hp increase max with Dyno run . They wouldn't even take my$ . They told me I would be an unhappy customer and the platform isn't worth it. They sent me off with a cold air intake for a bit top end and noise increase.

Just bought a 3 stage intake from the junkyard out of a 2008 330i this morning for only $75
I been thinking about doing some bolt ons, super charger, exhaust and a m3 conversion kit on a 328i. I’m just kinda getting sick of the n55/54 I’m in my 3rd 335i, after this I’m done man🤣
I get the exponential power of the N54 platform...but the N52 has crazy amount of potential and the NA power band feels so good.
Would be a fun a set up, been beating on my n52 for 5 years now and 70K miles later still runs strong

N54 manifold is more fail proof. 3SIM is better for city roads for mid torque

I know the N52 cars are never going to be like the N54, and I have a 335i and 325i. Thing is, the 325i is so tossable and amazingly confidence inspiring. I think it's reasonable to see the e90 N52 as a more sophisticated e36 M3 (US version), and that's not bad. The last honest NA straight six bimmer. I'm hoping to keep the 325i for as long as possible. The 335i will be gone in a couple years.
Agreed I own an E92 M3 and I still hope in my 328i and enjoy to drive and spend money on modifying it

You need the 330i actuator for the 3 stage! Also bmw ls injectors! Decat with a 3"! Try not burning your starter!😂👍

i heard the car will tune itself out and adjust to the new manifold, is this true? ive also read to get the fullpower a tune is recommended, so much hearsay about the n52

It will not, it has a tendency to create a vacuum problem. N52s are bullet proof until you mod it
The N52 328i can never build more horsepower by just installing the 3 stage intake manifold. Simply because the original DME software won't detect the DISA valves hence they still not working !
Not talking about the more agressive software adopted to the 330i models.

The only concerns is the disa valve and their seals.
Right into the engine is they fail (which can happen)

I have extender leather on my m3 and wanted on my 328i too, the interior was swapped to red and a tan dash did not fit at all, so I dyed it red
