@@consciouscoma85 I'm in FL and I'll have to see if the law has changed in the last 6 years (it's possible!) but when I called the DMV for laws pertaining to electric vehicles, I was told that anything listed as 30 mph or greater has to be insured, registered and you need a driver's license (doesn't have to be motorcycle license) but I'll def look into it again! This one is listed at 28 mph (very clever Juiced! lol) so this is considered a peddle assisted ebike and follows the same laws as a standard bike.
I ride this bike to work and I’m not understanding where the range is coming from because I live 16 miles away from my job and by the time I get there the battery is at one or 2 bars
That cable lock you have on the bike is grossly inadequate. It's fine for a $50 bike that you don't mind being stolen (cable locks can be cut in a matter of seconds) but for that $1500 bike I would highly suggest you invest in a much better lock.
@@vivimu You're not going to cut a kryptonite evolution series-4 1016 integrated chain in a matter of seconds. No lock is perfect but the one he has on that bike is pathetic.
@@vivimu Brendan you're not listening. I already said that no lock is perfect and pointed out how terrible the lock he is using is. I think you just want to argue. Thanks for your input. You go ahead and secure your bike any way you like ok champ.
dude congrats! i got my city and i gotta tell you its heavy! apparently the camp is much lighter so if you dont have to carry it up the stairs like i do you'll be fine
Adrian Villafuerte its like 60 pounds kind of awkward to pick up i suggest removing the side plates so you can get a better grip when holding the bike, and Hell yeah bro i get everyone here in nyc breaking a neck trying to look at my city
Anthony Hernandez nah I like the side plates lol but I feel ya! Everyone was turning heads around campus today. Even had a girl wink at me lol weird Ik. But little tip, and I hope this isn’t bad on the motor but I use the throttle to go up the stairs. You just need to push it for it to go. I really hope this isn’t bad for the motor because this thing is HUGE and a bitch to carry up the stairs lol
I like the bike but live in a very hilly hilly area. I’m also a fan of just throttling my way up the hill. So what is your experience going uphill with the scrambler on 750W?
City has cast mag wheels and road slick tires and Camp has spokes and knobby off road tires. Camp is lighter because spoke wheels are lighter and they also flex so a little better suited for off road or some mild jumps. City's mag wheels never need spoke tightening / tension adjustments and won't experience broken spokes however they weigh a bit more like maybe 6 lbs to the bike.
dude! where do you live! That lock looks as thick as dental floss.... I got my city scrambler and bought the New York Noose 1213 and Evolution Disc Lock from amazon... I live in nyc so i just had to

THANK YOU IN ADVANCE!!
Yes however unlike many packs this one has no carry handle and if you remove it often you will likely drop it at some point. I use these to assist removal. No drilling or bolts. Just use denatured alcohol to clean well first. 10 pound model, amzn.to/3fa10O1 30 pound model, amzn.to/2SrsFjp Both are super durable The 30lb handle is dependable for long term carry.
You need a helmet. Some people in cars drive STUPID! And maybe one day I'll get me one and hopefully they will go down in price. Oh yeah I still like riding n y manual bicycle.
Lol, that seat is comfortable for about 20 miles. Then it is absolutely not comfortable at all. I am 5'9" and weigh 160. The seat becomes uncomfortable on every ride at some point. My headlight also stopped working like 1 week (3 rides) into owning it, and they wanted me to take the light off and send it in. Sounds easy enough. It wasn't. I wound up buying a new, better light for less than $15 and just left the broken one on the bike. Also, the bike weighs 80 pounds. Looking at alternatives now.
that thing's got a fixed seat height and nobody seems to know what it is. I have yet to find one reviewer that knows the seat height of that bike. I guess they all assume that everybody is over 6 feet tall so who cares about seat height?
I know this is an older post, but if George Michael and Kurt Russel had a kid.....lol Love the video! just preordered the HyperScorpion and videos like this make me feel more confident in my decision.
I would like to try it just for fun, cause I love riding bicycles.😁 But I couldn't use it in my hometown, there is way too much traffic.😕 And the way to work is too far. But, as always, a great video, thanks for that.😉
You can't have regenerative braking with a geared hub motor. Only direct drive motors are capable of regen braking. If you value full brain function I suggest a helmet.
No mention of fixed seat height for proper riding posture and leg extension. No mention of frame size, construction or gears. Tube tires or tubeless... Etc... Not a thorough bike review. Decent filming.

Four years later and the prices of e-bikes have dropped a lot, I just bought that bike, with a small issue for $400 good review
OMG finally a review that states speed 1st off! Excellent and Thank You!
1:43 i think it’s because if the bike goes over 30 mph it’s considered illegal in many states for an electric bike to go that fast.
I don't think it's illegal, but you do have to register, insure and possibly need to have a motorcycle license, depending on what state you're in.
