    After riding motorcycles. I could say that there is slight more freedom with the electric bicycle. Motorcycles are fun but the e-bike has a special place in my heart. I can explore more places than I otherwise couldn't with a motorcycle. I only like motorcycles for the highway.

      @Bill Perri theyre a magic machine! If you like ebikes, im sure you'd fall in love with a grom. The brand new ones are a 5 speed (older models are 4 speed) 125cc engine that tops out around 60. Theyre unexplainably fun. Especially with friends. Like ebikes, theyre perfect for gooning around on, stunting with, go on trails, and exploring places. And they get about 100 miles a gallon.

    As a motorcyclist, these things are genius. No licence needed, no insurance, no registration AND you can use the bike lane to skip traffic. Super relaxing and fun to ride E-bikes. I see them as just another form of motorcycle. This one is one of my favorite designs I've seen.

  • @overlookedx

    Yes! Love my Juiced Scrambler. I actually pedal it quite a bit, helps with the hills. One thing to be aware of, if you take the battery off and on frequently, is the connectors can get pushed in and it will no longer make a connection. Had to get my battery serviced for that.

    • @EatSleepDrive
      @EatSleepDrive  4 ปีที่แล้ว +7

      Thanks for the heads up! Maybe I'll only charge it on the bike, don't want to have to deal with the connectors getting messed up in that case.

    • @gekhond
      @gekhond 4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Pedaling definitely helps on the hills, but the Campscrambler holds up well even on very steep inclines. I didn't get the after-market controller. Once the sensor feels the pedals rotating, the assist will kick in and in Race mode that means it will go up to 28mi/hr (which is why you shouldn't use R mode on public roads and paths...)

    • @JMR_2028
      @JMR_2028 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@gekhond the cops don’t care if you use R mode on the roads. Just peddle when they’re nearby and you’ll be fine

    • @curtisjamesmay
      @curtisjamesmay 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      @Casper Gomez Dude if you guys would just pop a tab of some LSD you would understand both sides. So... Technically this version has more constant torque which doesn't necessarily mean it's more powerful than the classic gas engine minibike but.... For the energy its getting with some more battery evolution this thing could be a beast in the future. Plus man lets just get rid of the gas engines anyway we can at this point in time. If we ease into the electric vehicles and make the adjustments along the way earth would last longer.

    The Scrambler was the first E-Bike I ever drove and I became instantly hooked. It made me want more. It destroyed my fear of riding a motorcycle and now I want to eventually get a motorcycle. My two cents, this is an incredible commuter but also an amazing way to break the ice for someone who eventually might want to ride a motorcycle as well! Amazing piece of technology

  • @totalrevit6469

    I wish this would have a key and some sort of back pack to carry the battery. And you make a good point that there is no rear suspension but that is the trade off with making the rear less complicated when changing a rear flat tire.

    I was foolish enough to own a rigid H-D about 40yrs ago and got rid of it soon after purchase for a loss.Looked and ran great but really sucked. My rear suspension was less air in the tire which helped add other problems but was just enough on a long haul to not piss blood. I'm considering getting one of these because of my advanced age and how is it not fun being able to ride anywhere you want.I'll worry about the cops after I get all the stuff to max it out.I'm almost certain 28mph isn't gonna break my kidneys and much safer to take back and forth to the pub. ;(

    @Hamdad 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    "It's super bumpy" Well yeah you're doing 28 on a bike with no rear shocks. This is why I built mine around a frame with both front & rear shocks. All the extra weight from the motor and batteries will put stresses on the rims and tires they're not designed to take if you don't give them some additional cushioning to compensate. Juiced designed the bike around this to some extent, but assume speeds of ~20. I wonder how well it'll hold up routinely doinng ~28 over bumps.

    Yikes. $1700 for barely 1 horsepower (750 watts), 28 mph top speed, no rear suspension, and a chassis that looks like it rolled out of the late 1940's - basically a bicycle with an extra pair of legs in the form of a tiny hub motor. Most mopeds have at least 3 hp. No pedals, >10 hp and >30 mph and you have a what's called a light motorcycle, by legal definition. Consumers can do a lot better for that price. I built a 16 hp e-motorcycle last year with a top speed of 80 mph and 60 mile range for just $2200. Lots of plug and play kits online, don't waste your $ folks...

    My scrambler with upgraded battery came in yesterday. I rode 28 miles. That’s with an additional charge. I went around in race mode almost exclusively only peddling when I knew a cop was around. I’m 6 foot. This is a really tall bike. If you arnt 5 11 you arnt going to have a comfortable ride. I’m a fat fuck weighing in at 260. This thing has no problem getting up even the steepest hills in town with me on it. My one and only complaint is the battery is bitch to get in and out

      Just charge it with the battery in place, don't remove it. I hear the connectors wear out from removing it anyway.

      Juiced makes ones from 1900-3000 or so, but other companies offer ones as cheap as 800 bucks. Depends on how much US support you want. I love my chinese knockoff though. No issues yet in 170 miles of using it around town for errands.

    Needs to do 35mph and have rear suspension with a small storage compartment under the seat area.

    • @michaelplantus2261
      @michaelplantus2261 4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      That's a lot more realistic. They always hold back when they first come out so hopefully they'll upgrade those things as there now competing with a good chunk of other brands so they should get better over time. By then if it's a similar price it will be more worth buying as 20-28mph is a bit slow. More distance more speed = more buyers.

  • @HelloFriend365

    Cars can go faster then the speed limit. it's the person that chooses to speed or not. Most people are speeding normally 5-10 over anyway. So what's funny about a road legal and off road mode. It's kind of dumb that you can't use that on road to begin with .

    i disagree,i have a ecotric hammer 1000 wat motor and i like to peddle rather then turn a throttle it eats up your battery power.

      If it does 30 mph using just the throttle it should be classified as a scooter, be licensed and driven on the roads. If it maxes at 20 mph and is pedal-assist only it should classified as a bicycle and be allowed anywhere a bicycle can go. There are people that can ride a bicycle but have no idea how to use a throttle safely.

    You need to educate yourself on what class 1, 2 and 3 eBikes are. Spreading misinformation doesn't help the eBike community. Class 3 is PAS (PEDDLE ASSIST) up to 28mph throttle is optional and officially only up to 20mph via throttle.

      The Super 73's are cool bikes, but I got the Camp Scrambler because seat height is 35 vs 31 on the 73. I like to pedal and need that extension. Plus it was on sale for 1500. If you're either short or don't plan on pedaling, the 73 would be cool to have.

    • @elfuertejuice
      @elfuertejuice 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Less battery life too the new super 73 has 2000 watt motor in unlocked mode. The battery is only close 1000 watt per hour so if you use the 73 and full throttle it will die out in under 30 min thats if you use it full throttle for that duration
