So it drops from 131f to 130f but at the same time increases from 55c to 59c? I don't think that sign can be trusted 😂
It’s so hot that sometimes the circuits don’t work so good same thing when your iPhone gets really hot it moves slow and it shuts off to not take damage from the heat
Also 129 is 55 Celsius, not 59. So that sign is not accurate.
those digits are the ones that physically flip sides, flips to green or black, but they can also get stuck easily, which is what is happening i assume

@@sidtrooper becatoros its not verified, actual temperature can mean anything from surface level to upper atmosphere, the hottest ground temperature ever recorded was 94C in deathvalley.

Yeah to get 72 inside the car in that extreme heat you'd need a special 2-stage or 3-stage AC system for it. They use multiple stages for example in those deep freeze grocery store coolers. Beyond the Press did a cool video where they strapped an industrial AC unit to their car.

He's wearing the clothing to help soak up the sweat and keep it close to his body, instead of it just dissipating in that heat. you'll notice most dessert dwelling or traveling individuals will wear long clothing..it helps shield from the sun and helps keep the body cool.

Was there when it was 121` once. However, with single-digit humidity it wasn't as uncomfortable as a 90` day humid day along east coast.
UPDATE: Made it back there recently and experienced 124` at the Visitor Center and 130` at Mesquite Dunes! I'm confident my reading at the dunes was accurate, it definitely was hotter than at the Visitor Center.

In Twitter and media there are rumors about Tesla HVAC system features. 1) AWH (water condensation from air), 2) HEPA anti-virus and allergy filter, 3) air cleaner and purifier, 4) heat pump for heating, 5) air conditioner for cooling.
The only elements missing in this collection and in Tesla's Business Plan v.3 are air modification, heat recuperation, air (de) / humidification, salted water desalination and wastewater distillation.
By the way, we have technology able to really combine and even integrate all functions mentioned above in one unit.
Imagine if it was 131 and humidity was at 80% or more! Crazy!
12:10 that 177 mile range is not based on driving habits. It's based on EPA range constant. For the estimated ranged based on driving habits you have to go to the Energy screen or navigate to a destination, both of which will show range based on habits and route.

The digits on that sign get stuck which is why it said that. They physically flip from black to green. That sign has been there for years and being in extreme heat it needs to be fixed. So it wasn't meaning to say 59c the flipper got stuck when it changed.
Actually no! the highest temperature ever recorded on the Earth was back in 2005 in Lut desert in Iran.

Fantastic Video. I'm taking my Model 3 to Death Valley tomorrow to experience what is supposed to be 130 degrees. Instead of dealing with range anxiety though, I decided to book the "The Oasis", spend the night in an ice cold room and let my car charge overnight at the level 2. These videos gave me some confidence it was possible though. I was afraid my battery was going to explode or something (j/k....sorta).
Well compared to his Model X, you Model 3 has a better cooling system (quieter, more effective), and more range.
I love how here in finland 25c is super warm to us. Meanwhile 55c in california

I used to live in furnace creek and the temperature monitors you put outside your house, mine said it was 138* once. It was so hot that tires on your vehicles would just pop, it’s crazy when it would be 3 in the morning and would be 115 out lol

131F is not the hottest recorded on earth, the official hottest is 134.1F recorded in Furnace Creek on the 10th of July 1913. Some people dispute it but it is still the officially recorded highest.

It worries me that people can't figure out that the digits on that thermometer get stuck as you can tell when its at 130 and the bottom of the 0 isn't there. People who think that it was purposely displaying 59°C / 130°F and 55°C / 131°F really need to get some common sense. And it was 131°F not 137° F as you saw in the video it went from 137 to 131 when it finally unstuck. People really couldn't figure that out on their own??

Conspiracy theory: it was just getting so hot that the parts of the zero were disappearing, if you look closely you can see the bottom disappears first, then the side (making it look like 137), then the top (making it look like 131)
