- I gotta stop letting people ride Eve! It always freaks me out, one mistake and the journey is over! But the look on his face is totally worth it though;) Also, charging completely off grid and finally debunking all the people that always trying to tell me I should bring a generator or solar panels…you’ll see why! Leaving hampi towards Bangalore! Long ride ahead and we’ll be riding in the dark again and something weird happens at the last charging stop…

Kerala is a natural haven in India that everyone must visit at least once. From the backwaters of Kumarakom and Alleppey, to the rolling hills of Munnar, the historic charm of Kochi, and the pristine beaches of Varkala - there is so much to discover in this land of palm trees and delicious South Indian food.
@@MarcTravels bro ignore that guy
Fun fact if you ever get a chance to come back to see the elephant, he will remember you no matter how many years passed by.
her name is Lakshmi 😊
That's really an interesting facts.
thats not how it works.
That means Elephant has really good memory
26:45 fan started working after elephant blessing. 😅
man you missing on the coastal karnataka... go to Gokarna.. nearby Goa and the mangalore, kerala etc...
Mate, you're done with your India trip right upto Bangalore with just the slow charging. Hats off!!👏😳
Marc, if possible, clean the fans with compressed air every now and then. It might been accumulating dust that was the problem. Those fans do not have a lot of power.
Greetz Old Husky (on borrowed channel)
Marc! Isn't it tiring to stand for hours charging😅
Loving these vlogs. keep them coming. Glad you are enjoying India.
Never sandwich yourself between 2 heavy vehicles in traffic jams. It's dangerous and may get stuck
I've worked on a lot of kit over the years as a service engineer, and Fans that are fitted to most things are always a pain to access and replace, even though they are often the only moving part in a sub assembly. Replaced a lot of kit that just needed a fan. Very frustrating when you have to strip something down to replace the only part that you know will wear...
Hey Marcus.. I started following you after you entered india.. And cant stop watching you .. Love the adventure and Eve is amazing.. Keep it up bro😊
Mario need to start vlogging for TH-cam , it would be cool to watch him hitchike
Hey Mark, Ola and Ather have 10x the charging network in cities. Use them instead of Tata Power
How cool is that: I used to live in Bangalore 1997/98 and would love so much to visit it again! 😍😍😍
Have fun and forward my best regards to all subscribers who are working with Rittal in Doddaballapura! 🙋😄
Never ever misss Kerala 🎉🎉🎉💥💥💥gods own country
Which?
Even the elephant is earning more than me bro💀
Please do try the Ultraviolette bike at their factory when in Bangalore! Also see if you can get ahold of an Ather 450 Apex at one of their stores. Would be great to see your thoughts!
Another excellent video Marc. So, so good to see you enjoying yourself so much with your fellow travellers. Any news on when or if you might be able to meet the bike manufacturer to resolve your charging issues?
Great long video. I hope you will not miss your friends too much. It was nice to see you all together. Will you meet again at some point?
@@TheNomadHighlights lmao what an odd comment, you thought only young people watch youtube?
I think mostly with German insurance the vehicle is insured for anyone to drive with a valid driving license but in the uk it's the person or persons insured to drive a particular vehicle full comprehensive. 🤔
I know India and Pakistan are next to each other but seriously there's really no comparison.
Lot of new infrastructure is coming up all over India. After a few years this recurring issue of traffic jam at the cities entrances will be reduced significantly.
You should visit Kerala do they doesn't allowed to do moto vloging there but you will love it
I just entered Kerala, it’s all good 🤙🏼
Tata Consultancy Services opened an office in Montreal for software three years ago. Tata has been in Canada for thirty years, but in the steel industry.
Amazing video! You really should invest in some solar panels for a quick emergency charge. There are now even foldable ones on the market and you can get some lightweight 400-watt panels for cheap.
It’s impossible!!!
Small Solar pannels that he can carry won't produce that much energy. You need a huge array of pannels for that.
Watch the video
Bruh the solar panels you think he should invest won't be sufficient to charge his bike 😂
@@ElecPi 7:17 - There are 9 solar panels on the bus, each with an estimated surface area of at least 1x2 square meters. All in all, that's an estimated 18 square meters. Even if half of that were enough for charging Eve, that would still be a lot of material and weight that Marc would have to carry "on the bike", in addition to the electrics of the solar cells. Sorry, but that only works with a camper van, expeditions truck or such a converted bus. In addition, this would only work during the day, in good sunlight. But Marc wants to drive at that time of day, which is understandable. With the traffic, the unknown course of the road and various potholes... driving along there when it's dark is pure stress
25:30 IT IS BUILT FOR CARS MADE BY TATA COMPANY IDK HOW IT IS WORKING ON YOUR BIKE ABSOLUTELY NO IDEA IT ACTIVATES ALL THE PHASES FOR TATA CARS BTW
Glad to see the channel and views growing a good amount, content is only getting better mate. You mentioned 55k at the beginning so guessing we are still quite behind and much more to come!
No we’re just growing very fast right now 🫣 thanks for watching mate 🤙🏼
16:34 they were saying, it was installed just 2 days ago, still not connected to the grid.
Video as on 15-01-24
I noticed it😅

Well, everybody knows that I have a month delay since Iran. I talked about it many times in the videos 😅

Hi, Marc, Mark here, from Mamuts. I know you can actually get a type2-type2 cable with a selection to use one-phase chargers onto the two phases of the cable (hence using 6Kw ina 7Kw one phase charger). I don't think it's "legal" but I know it works ;-)
Love from India 🇮🇳
Madhya Pradesh (Ujjain) city
You should come in Varanasi prayagraj
You are setting up a very good case study for Zero Motorcycles in India. Hope they study your data points and bring this motorcycle soon available in India 🇮🇳 ❤
Yeah and they get all this for free too
Awesome drone shot at 0:40 👏🏻👏🏻
Try to charge in Ather stations which are available all over especially near the showrooms of Ather …an ev moped showroom!
Svaka čast Marc, osobno ne bi imao toliko živaca sa traženjem punjenja strujom, no moguće da to ima neku svoju čar 😉😊👍🍻
Hi want to say try ather charging station problaly that works for you.
Ah so the problem is that most chargers are 7.4KW 1 phase 32A and your bike only supports 3 phase 16A. I wonder if this could be fixed by software
It cannot, it’s the way they hardwired it
@@MarcTravels that sucks, would be cool if there existed an 1 phase to 3 phase type 2 adapter
hey marc wts the youtube channel name of your friend with carvan?
Elephant's blessing working I guess..😂
The reason for 3.2kW charging speed is because its a big cost factor here in India. Bigger charger of 7.2kW charger costs more. Also now some companies are bundling 3.2kW charger with the car, so there is that.
Most of the Tata power is 7,2kw. The bike is the problem and how it’s wired internally
Though for a moment you were going to need to hire a diesel truck to get into a city to charge EV on an electric grid powered by fossil fuels. That's a nice American Californian E motorcycle I never seen yet live in Utah not far from California for it's unaffordable being close to $20,000 now. It would be great for personal transport of getting around a metro area and up to 240 miles out assuming there's EV chargers 4 hours from the city center. There are so many Teslas and other EV's where I live out of so many rich techy Californian transplants since 2020, but the cost of living is way too high that I have to walk, ride buses, use Uber, and E scooters such as Lime though all that isn't what a maturing adult really wants in full time life out of being better suited for young tourists instead. I'd like a good gas powered truck. We don't have those awesome utilitarian Mercedes over here which are best for reliable road tripping. Breaking down or needing roadside service in America is very tricky and very expensive that we can't just drive across the USA nor go enjoy the great outdoors. I'm so tired of our debt based crapanomic money system.
He is greatest.
Where people ask money, he has something to say.
If no money asked, he says great people.
Why?

Long day! Good to see that the fan kicked back in. Maybe it just had something lodged in it? Regardless, perhaps it's a sign that the system will correct itself to be fully functional again!
Ride safe,.
Ride smart.
Have fun!
During Vijaya Nagara Empire Hampi used to be the second largest city in the entire world after Rome Italy 🥵
Actually you are wrong about the solar. Its about the controller, and the volts. For example its better to have 5x 50watt @20v per panel =100volts. Rather than a single panel 250watt @20v (open circuit). Because the bike needs 82v you need to supply > 82v or boost the volts.
I have rv400 and i use that setup. No need for battery since the bike itself has a battery. See? So mppt with variable volt (12/24/36/48....92v) is easily available. Then panels in series. X5 or x6 ideal. Job done.
Construtive criticism.
You were using a bad setup where you converted 12vDC to 220v AC then back down to 82vdc via the bike charger. Loss is much greater. Go direct dc to DC. Your bike (any electric) bike has a wire under the seat where you can put a Y splitter and tap into that. Since you are using the regenerate braking loom wire, it already goes to the battery management system (BMS) and temperature sensors etc are already wired up. So all you need is the dc supply to the Y spliier. I do that. Works perfectly.
Mark there should be a little screw and nut on the back of the horn. This a tuning
screw. You need someone to press your horn button while you adjust the screw in
or out till you get a crisp note from the horn. Horns always sound fine when new,
but seem to go out of adjustment over their lifespan. Most people don't know this
and throw away a perfectly good horn, that just needed the tuning screw adjusted.
10:17 that is called Anjanadri hill. It is believed to be the birth place of Hanuman (monkey god).
I lived in Bangalore for almost 10 yrs. The city I loved the most after my home town Cochin. I am basically from Kerala and live in London now. I cant wait to see your Bangalore Videos and of course your trip to Kerala. Cover some cost areas in Kerala… you will love it ❤❤❤❤😊😊😊

Welcome to Bangalore Marc 🎉🎉
There something really scary about letting someone ride your bike even if you’re overseeing them, it’s even worse if you can’t see them, if they’ve got your car the feelings not as bad, mind you that’s probably something to do with cheap cars I drive.
If you crash your car, you crawl out & check yourself over before checking the car, on a bike, your first concern is the bike, even when laying there, with multiple injuries including what turns out to be a broken back!! 🤪
Thanks!

If you don't mind, could you speak about the charging infrastructure in different countries in general?
