I served in military and I was called out to pick up ordnance from states side, overseas, on base, off base. It's unbelievable what military people taken home with them. Civilians sneak on base, stray into impact areas and pick up 'unexploded ordnance' AND TAKE IT HOME!!! Guy dies a natural death or blows himself up. Wife calls up the military up because she's got all this unexploded ordnance and she wants to sell her house...It is truly unbelievable.

Well that is not 100% true there will prob be AT guns MGs and Infantry holding with the flak gun plus it would be more entrenched (sandbags earthworks and the likes) It may even have tank support. @@yippers7230 well the only things that where low was tanks oil and planes tho if we are talking the last days of the war manpower was low. but if they where to set up a flak gun for anti infantry role it 100% would have infantry support and u cant really run out of earthworks i dont think they where out of sandbags

The officer in the background is looking through a range finder... but that was only used to estimate the vertical distance of Allied heavy bomber formations. Firing against ground targets, one just points and shoots... they're right in front of you.
The equipment was awesome, only thing I noticed was some helmet mistakes, I'm seeing double decal M42's and a M1916 stahlhelm... But this must've been fun to participate in

The use of that "range finder" is out of place in this case. It was primarily used for air defense and great distances. In this case (relative short distance) just "eyeballing" a target with the help of tracer rounds is fast, easy and accurate enough.

Love how they are using a a flak 38 and actually speaking german. But the cover isn't realistic nor is the troop movement. They are all pretty much moving like theirs no one shooting at them. And using gun range finding optics on ground targets not far away that regular sights could use.
It’s actually interesting. I went to WW2 weekend in Reading, and they showed a bunch of weapons, including a Bren gun, and there would be an assistant who would put his hands on the shooter’s shoulders, and moves his hands, so the shooter could aim. The thing is, the shooter can’t aim when there’s flecks of flame in front of him, so someone else looks over, and is the person directing the aim, while the shooter manually changes it.
