bro they legit cut off a good money source by shutting down the 3ds eShop, if we pirate the games on the 3ds it's literally their fault because we can't buy them even if we wanted to
I wish they would put Pokémon Games on the Nintendo Switch Online. Because look at what they did last year.. they shut down the 3DS, now we can’t get those games anymore. Pokémon Red, Blue, Yellow, Gold, Silver, Crystal, Ruby, Sapphire, Emerald, FireRed, and LeafGreen games are the most wanted right now.
I mean even you you bought a legit copy of older games its probably third party anyway. Nintendo probably aint getting money from the copy of Black 2 you bought for $200
@@Set451why should we be worried about this when nintendo themself doesnt even care about making them playable or available? also we are obviously not gonna pay for a pirated copy
I hate that classic Pokemon games are being held back due to nonsense like not allowing people to cheat. I play pokemon games single player and never trade with others, so its annoying not being able to play this games over something i never use. Wish they would just release them as games you can buy separate from the online service and just disable any connectivity to trading. Treat them like single player games. I just want to replay Gold/Silver and Ruby/Sapphire for the nostalgia and story.
then you should be upset that Gamefreak is greedy and double dips with every game. Instead of just allowing us to catch everything in single title. @@darthmewtwosmaster4064
@@HustlerHorstRuedigerdo you play for complete pokedex? Why? The cool about those games is starting over and beating elite four and catch the legendaries. Then you make a new file and start over again lol
man, the switch is basically at the edge of retiring, its done. If they didnt want to do it with the most popular nintendo console of all time then I guess is just not planned at all
Yeah, I think they would have no choice but to release them as separate titles that aren't in the Switch Online services. They really want to make sure they abide by not letting people cheat their way with using multiple saves.
What I think GameFreak should do is go the Mega Man route and introduce a Pokémon Legacy Collection. This game can come with red, blue, yellow, gold, silver, and crystal, as well as Stadium 1 and 2 built into it. Pokémon Legacy Collection 2 can contain Ruby, Sapphire, Emerald, FireRed, LeafGreen, Colosseum, and XD. Pokémon Legacy Collection 3 can have Diamond, Pearl, Platinum, HeartGold, SoulSilver, and Battle Revolution. Oh, and each of these collections can have ways to legitimately obtain mythical Pokémon. Maybe even extra features as well, like a solo run mode, to give the games a huge amount of replay value, and a sandox battle system, to allow players to just roleplay any battle scenario they want for the fun of it. This could allow GameFreak to re-release these games on any future Nintendo system they wanted, giving them easy income, and allowing us permanent easy access to these titles. But this won't happen. GameFreak doesn't want people to know how good the old Pokémon games were, because then consumers might actually demand that kind of quality in their new releases, and they can't have that, can they?
I'd buy them if they came to the eShop or in a collection. I think the eShop is the most likely since Nintendo would likely want to sell their games individually and not in a collection.
I'd buy them as a collection 100%, but there is no way in hell that I'm paying $60 or $70 USD each for separate re-releases. You just know that's exactly what would happen, too.
I wouldn't mind a separate app, but I'm still miffed that Pokemon Stadium's Transfer feature remains axed: I would HOPE they'd figure something out on that front...
Yeah, the fans would like it. But would 8 year old Timmy also like it or would he just think, that these look ugly af, and go back to play SV or Fortnite.
@@mystraunt2705 At least they have online multiplayer for me. On the 3DS they gutted multiplayer for the Pokemon TCG because they didn't feel like adding in proper multiplayer until the mainline Pokemon games.
Another possible reason is they don’t want to draw attention to the Rocket Game Corner (among other cases of simulated gambling in the classic games,) which would grant them an automatic PEGI-18 (a European M rating) if released today.
I gave my switch to my brother because I wasn't really using it much anymore and there were some games he wanted to play, but IF nintendo put all of the classic pokemon games on the switch, I would DEFINIETELY buy a new switch for myself. I never got to play most of the games unless they were on emulators, which never really felt like the real experience. I would really love to be able to play all of the pokemon games in one place.
I don't think the cloud saves thing alone COMPLETELY break the odds, just makes it harder. I'm sure they could come up with a workaround if they really wanted to get the games onto it. They could let cloud saves stay on the Pokemon games, but not let the NSO Pokemon games interact with Pokemon Home (this would get backlash of course, but I'd rather have the games at all)
They are still missing Hey You Pikachu for the N64 Online, Pokemon Puzzle Challenge for the Game Boy Online, the gen 1, 2 and 3 main series Pokemon games and Super Smash Bros. 64 too. 0:09
Hey you Pikachu is reliant on very specific hardware to work, and it's genuinely a terrible game with 0 play value anyway unless you are an absolute fan of pokemon (and in that case, juste buy the physical copy. The shop will die and the games with it when the switch gets discontinued in 5 years or so).
Edit: so basically every pokemon games gens 1-5 would have access to the app thatd have both features: pokewalker walking exp gains & pokemon battling with your friends. The app would have an easy simple interface the main screen would show (up to a party max of six the screen would look exactly the same as if you were viewing your pokemon party in-game) your pokemon party u have transferred currently, tabs (for each pokemon game) u can select that'll determine which pokemon game & therefore pokemon party you're viewing, & you could battle your friends on the go. You transfer your pokemon back into ur 3ds system to progress your story the traditional way the app would just be a mega bonus to enjoy the older gens 1-5 & their pokemon designs on the go. Also last feature is ALL pokemon in all the games would always have the first pokemon in your party following behind you exactly like they did in soulsilver/heartgold. I mean bonus points if they could give the option to update all the graphics similar to slightly improved SS/HG graphics for Pokemon games prior to that gen cuz I thought those graphics were near great for Pokemon. This would show hard work, dedication, take A LOT of time they're not willing to commit more than likely but would make them not only a lot of money over time but if pulled off successfully would earn probably tons of mad respect from their fans as well as massive player happiness cuz their games and the new 3ds system would preserve all these games and be purchased always from a reputable legit source: Nintendo.
Just like there is. Dedicated M-17 N64 app i think they could make a Pokemon NSO App disabling cloud saves on it but also making a connectivity update that grants access to the ROM and SAV data from the NSO Pokemon app to work in pokemon stadiums 1 & 2
Definitely as a separate app, or two (maybe three?)... and tied to a Pokemon Home Subscription instead of a Nintendo Online Subscription. Basically the same emulator apps just with suspend points and rewind turned off (with the possibility of a temp suspend point that is created when you close the app, and deleted once you resume or choose to ignore it) Obviously a gb/gbc app, a gba app, and hopefully an N64 app that allows access to the gb/gbc save files. (in the event that had a temp suspend file it would get deleted once the n64 games accessed the save file)
Yeah, my guess is if they ever did release the mainline pokemon games to switch online, it would be via an exclusive home app or pokemon-only channel we'd likely have to pay for on top of NSO.
Um... Id pay the full price they originally sold them for just for them to be ported over to their modern hardware. Soooo they literally could sell them full/same price as if it was the first day they sold the game soooo its not about money. Id rather pay the original $60 per pokemon game as a port rather than hunt down an old physical cartridge of the game online that may or may not even be authentic AND have it cost an arm & a leg cuz it's an "authentic" copy of the game that's in mint condition or still in the original box/casing which in that case it'll cost even more money that Nintendo isnt even making cuz ur paying it to that person that owns the physical copy. They just need to port them over to switch...
I hope they add a collection for the gen 3 games to the eshop because they are the only mainline games I haven’t played in about 15 years. Even if I could try finding my FireRed, I’d also need to get a GBA on eBay which probably ain’t cheap. I think my emerald was somehow broken the last time I had it
Im starting to believe that nintendo hates money. I'd pay more than i probably should to get a remaster of gen 1-3 on the switch. I prefer the old top-down style alot more than the newer gen games.
So problem would be easily solved by selling the games independently ( not nintendo online) and then simply not allowing cloud saves like the new games??
So they dont want us to play our old games. As in they have an issue with us using emulators/roms but wont give us the ability to play them legally. Unless you own an older system/a modded ds/gameboy. Its kinda crummy, since they are the one who could fix their issues but go nahhh. I just wanna play emerald on the switch, and would pay for it on eshop. 😢
A copy of pokemon emerald is 200 dollars. Nintendo is insane if they expect the average person to spend 100 on an gba, and then 200 more dollars on the game rather than just use an emulator. If they hate emulators so much then offer an reasonable alternative.
Yeh if we didn't rely on our own means, ie. Emulation, but they (Nintendo) looks down on it. Like, what do they expect us to do? Not play it anymore? You'd think they'd want to capitalize on their property.
@kykipz yeah agreed bro. It's so ridiculous since future generations aren't able to experience the games, and Nintendo isn't making as much money as they should. It just seems like a win-win situation if they actually listened.
It’s SO easy for Nintendo/Pokemon to add a way from Home to extract Pokémon from Virtual Console games, and to add their own Pokémon titles. The save can be strictly cloud, or once the transfer is done that there’s a way to prevent exploit. Seriously. People would pay for online in a heartbeat. Nintendo HAS the means
Here's the thing, even if you don't allow cloud saves, Gens 1 and 2 have a lot of glitches that are getting well documented. I'm not gonna do a deep dive here, but you can basically get anything you want from those gens. Even a shiny Mew that passes a legitimacy checker. Cloud saves were never needed to do that. Technically you can still do this if you have a 3DS with the VC games, Bank and Home. The only way to stop cheating would be to either not allow Home support so it wouldn't matter (would disappoint a lot of people), or reopen some over 20 year old games to patch some bugs (costs money for little profit potential).
They know that the new pokemon games suck. People would rather replay the classic red, blue, yellow, gold, silver, etc. They will not make any money if they bring these over to switch online.
Why do they care about cheating? I can literally load up a complete shiny dex on my modded 3DS transfer to bank then home. Then reload a backup save on the 3DS and do it all over again rinse and repeat... You can even send it to someone else's switch I did it with friends 💀
If they re- release Gen 1, they should make the AI really difficult, get rid of the glitches and make the Pokémon look better. That game would sell a lot but the trainers should have great move sets so Sabrina's Alakazam should just spam Psychic and Giovanni spams Earthquake. Full restore in the latter game should be the only item used too
One very simple way that they could do it is simply not allow the GB and GBA Pokémon games to have any Pokémon home support at all. That way even if you could somehow cheat in the game itself, there would be no way to get those Pokémon out of the game and in to the more modern ones. But it’s unlikely that they would do that either because i doubt they want to miss out on the opportunity to have enough more people subscribing to the Pokémon home service. And I don’t think that is what most people want when they say they want classic Pokémon on switch. I’m pretty sure most people want the classic games with full home support and if that isn’t possible then most people would probably not care about the old Pokémon games for their own isolated sake. But I guess having them be completely disconnected from modern Pokémon services like home is better than not having them at all.
Cloning Pokemon should be a non issue, just keep an ID on the save file that changes every time bank connects to your save and only allow that is to connect so non sync data will not be able to transfer. Since you can only connect one version of a game on the bank anyway. Also irrelevant since you can clone Pokemon in game anyway, but that's besides the point. And force all trades to be online if they ever connected to the bank or have cloud saves, to prevent trading between consoles
I feel like i may be simpiler then some people think all they got to do is release gen 1-3 on nso and give all the pokemon games specific nso id #'s then just simply disable cloud saves for those titles only like they did with the 3ds restore points!
they could probably just remove the save state functionality from just the pokemon games (and maybe others) and maybe replace them with different games (game a, game b, game c, like that) as for the cloud, they could just not save the pokemon games specifically idk
Yes. Put the Pokemon games on the Switch (or it's successor if that's close by) and disable cloud saves. This also gives those virtual console digital download codes another chance to be used since the eshop collapsed.
@@mrsuperheatran2794 Trading Pokemon (and therefore code) between games in real time isn't the same thing as inputting a code to unlock something in another game. There's presumably a finite number of codes the Oracle games can generate in order to unlock the linked version of the other game.
i fully understand that some Pokemon games are exclusively on Nintendo DS and 3DS, and will not be able to run properly on Switch or future Switch 2 console. i still wish the much older Pokemon games will run on Switch.
I mean, just dont allow you to transfer pokemon in these games to pokemon home? wouldnt it be that easy? just make the games on the servce only able to interact with each other, or disable the ability at all. You don't need to be able to transfer pokemon to other games in order to enjoy the games, do you now?
It would be mind boggling trivial to just disable snapshots/saves for specific titles in the Gameboy library. It's a lot more likely that it's a licensing/other rights issue. Or they're holding them back for some specific anniversary etc.
They could simply make it not compatible with the pokemon home (as the stadium is not even tho you get "prize pokemons"). There is no competitive scenario nor exporting pokemons, so there is not point in not releasing.
Its a shame they did it one time on 3DS and will never do it again. Such a sick joke! The saddest part if cloud saves really were a duplication concern they could just mandate that you save the game before and after connecting to the online along with syncing that save data with the cloud immediately. Or, ya know, just disable the cloud saves for the Gameboy titles to or just don't let them communicate with Pokemon Home. I really do not agree cloud saves are at all a factor in why they won't give us the classic games. Cloud saves were not a big enough worry on 3DS and they certainly were not a worry for the Wii and WiiU cirtual consoles. Nintendo just doesn't want to. Pokemon is considered too valuable of an IP and they just want people playing the newest releases/remakes. Nothing more complex than that.
I say put them onto 2 different collections making then exactly like the normal pokemon kind of releases and have each collection have their respective versions. But i would go one step further and actually want them to include every game from the previous consoles they have but break it down by console generation. Have gameboy, color, and advance on one pack, then the ds/3ds on a different collection since it had more pokemon games. They could bring in so much money for these games i guarantee every pokemon fan would gladly plop down $60 for each collection of these games netting them $240 per person and since development wouldnt be really necessary its basically pure profit at this point in time.
If this was any other company I'd call the idea of not releasing decades old single player games on a service where you can only play online with friends in fear of cheating to be hilariously farcical. But this is Nintendo we're talking about so 🤷♀️
You stated the possible ways to prevent cheating and yes, cloning your Pokemon IS an issue because fans (people) will do anything to have an advantage or horde Pokemon to trade for legendary Pokemon what so ever.
nintendo dosent care if you are "cheating" in single player form if you buy another console because they profit from it, i bought switch lite in auddition for my oled especielly so i could "cheat" by trading between save files and completing the pokedex in various games on the switch. in fact this is what nintendo WANT you to do. they know that people would want to buy another console because it hard to find trades for games that are not new. i farmed insane amount of BBP on the indigo disk this way, do you think nintendo care? they only care if you cheat online. in fact i wouldent even call it "cheating" also. with pokemon home i could finish the BDSP national pokedex and other games pokedexes so fast because i could just transfer pokemon between games. now you dont even need the 2 versions of lets go because BDSP has all pokemons gens 1-4 so if you have them there you can just move them to your lets go copy and thats it. you can complete pokedexes insanly fast with home because of that. so your entire video is pointless. this is NOT the reason they wont let you have it. the reason is that they want you to buy their new pokemon games to play with the pokemon you want. so lets say if someone loves gen 3 they want him to buy BDSP rather then let him transfer from emerald to home
Having one app share the same esrb rating is false, Fortnite itself has in the same game a mode rated E and another T. So it's possible to have different ratings on one app
1. gens 1 and 2 have their own highly exploitable glitches with the PC storage system, and using cloud saves is entirely inefficient, not only would you need a second Switch, but the process would be much slower. The glitches not only save time, but you only need one system to run it. 2. People said the same thing about the 3DS vc collection because of how they ran, but they ran a version that disabled it. This whole reasoning seems like it's being recycled from those days. 3. Nintendo has created separate apps for certain games already. Japan has an 18+ N64 app just for two games since the rating system is more strict over there. If they absolutely had to create a separate app for Pokemon games specifically just to get around the cloud save function, it would have more relevance than that 18+ app.
I want ALL the classic pokemon titles gens 1-5 ported over with hardly nothing changed same beloved mostly pixel graphics and VERY minor subtle QOL features that they may have added to their future garbage pokemon games such as the pokemon bank is always with u for u to change out pokemon in your party anywhere u are in the game with the ones u caught with ease. Also... Two scenarios would be awesome... I really dont think its appropriate to quit making the gameboy/ds/3ds systems & games entirely. I think they gotta put all the pokemon games onto the switch as ports (I'd even pay full fricken price $60 for EACH one just to have them again better than paying $100+ for the "authentic" old game cartridges online that may or may not be authentic) OR continue manufacturing ds 3ds systems always with digital permanent ownership and purchases online of all the games then theyd only have to focus on manufacturing the systems and they could ship them out from only the nintendo company so youd have to buy ur system thro nintendo online and itd give buyers relief that what theyre buying is legit since itd be directly from nintendo. Lastly.... If they kept the ds 3ds systems and implemented always continuing to make them I had this expert creative idea to revamp and make them MUCH better especially for the pokemon games... For anybody who remembers the "pokewalker" which originally and only came out with pokemon soulsilver and heartgold... Then youll know what im talking about... But theyve tried to modernize pokemon with that pokemon go crap which ive read some ppl (that leave reviews on their app) mention is lagging like crazy and not work properly... Welp... Imagine if they created a brand new app then implemented bluetooth in the revamped ds 3ds models without changing anything else with the systems and the app would act as an enhanced pokewalker on steroids cuz instead of a separate mini pokewalker device the pokewalker would literally be on your phone. Youd bluetooth connect ur phones pokemon app to the ds or 3ds and whatever pokemon game ur currently playing u could transfer pokemon into ur app from ur game and gain experience for ur pokemon by walking with ur phone (just like the pokewalker did) AND they could even add a battle with ur local friends feature where the phone screen would replicate the pokemon battle scene and animations only for the sole purpose of battling ur friends when ur near each other. Say... You got ur pokemon onto your app to go for a walk and gain experience you meet up with a friend doing the same thing ur party of pokemon is already all on ur app for the walk and exp gains but u get to last second battle ur friends shoulder to shoulder on the phone for potentially more exp and after every battle your team automatically heals to full just in case u wanna battle more. This would add onto the pokewalker idea while also meshing in pokemon battling that pokemon go has BUT would eliminate the pokemon go catching pokemon mechanic stuff that way the app doesnt need to focus so much on coordinating the gps technology with the catching of pokemon in real life in relation to where they are on the map/gps which is why i believe is the majority reason for the bugs & lag issues pokemon go keeps having for people. The revamped ds system would actually be designed as the 3ds only tho and wouldnt have any cartridge inserts except SD card slots only cuz ALL ds, 3ds and gameboy games would be forever and always available for purchase digitally/online from nintendo and once u buy any game youd permanently have it. The SD card slot would provide all the storage the system would need for ur digital library of historic nintendo games. Srry this was insanely long but im just a really creative person and sometimes can come up with amazing visionary ideas and some of it mightve not have made any sense to anyone but like... Its all blurring thro my head at 100 mph cuz the potential and idea is just purely amazing i wish it was real but itll only always be a dream... :( I just think its not right to make the 3ds system design and its games retro only and something where its potentially lost to dust & time knowing newer younger folks will never know and get to be able to play such great games from the gba/ds/3ds eras... 😞 i think it needs to be preserved & protected to withstand time. Theyre just dropping it all off to the wind and not turning back for it to all be left as hardware that wears down and breaks in parts or permanently with their games for them being broken, authentic copies being all bought out, and having their games be lost in a sea of scam copies being sold that arent even authentic, and having them cost an arm and a leg whether or not if theyre authentic its just sad & a pain... :( Anyways thanks to whoever even read this lololol 😂 some of the english is probably really messed up cuz youtube commenting doesnt autocorrect. 😅😅
hi, professional software developer here. Litteraly everything you've said is wrong. Every foundation you've layed out and evey conclusion you've come to. None of what you have mentioned here in this video is a technical problem. It's totally possible to store all the data in the cloud without any of the issues you've raised such as duplication of pokemon... And its totally possible to implement cross platform online gameplay Switch, Gameboy Advance, and Advance SP. The question is just whether nintendo is gonna put the money into it. They likely wont because this would cause major code changes and there isnt enough benefit. There is a big difference between „they can’t do it“ and „they likely won‘t do it“
Hi, blockchain developer here. He said it could be done, but it would require changes to the rom, which they won’t do. But Pokémon duplication is a concern. You’d just have to change a few things to achieve a non-exploitable consensus between possible asynchronous gameplays. I’d add something to verify 2 things: 1: when you upload to the cloud, the current state must have come from the previous state stored in the cloud. Otherwise, they could only pull from the cloud, not push. 2: when you trade with others, you must have connection to the cloud, it would need the previously mentioned check to pass, and a save state with the cloud would happen simultaneously with the trade.
@@Gideonrex1 How is Pokémon duplication a thing?!?! You can duplicate it on client yes, but the easy solution is the gameserver just doesn’t trust the client and never lets you have duplicates of Pokémon…. This Pokémon duplicate is non-existent just a fake and the problem is non-existent too. To your first point, without any further explanation I say you are blatantly false. You can obviously store any state you like in the cloud, and it isn’t even possible to have a clear transition between two states in certain scenarios. It’s the clients job to send whatever state it wants and it is the server‘s job to validate said state, either based on the previous state as you said or litteraly based on anything else. There are no exploits possible here as the Server doesn’t trust any client!!!
@@florianvo7616 For example, I sync game 1 to the cloud. I pull the cloud to game 2. I trade from game 2 locally to friend’s game 3. I never push game 2 to the cloud. Friend pushes game 3 to the cloud. Both game 1 and game 3 have the traded pokemon. Or, if you do my second suggestion without doing the first, game 2 trades to game 3 syncing with the cloud. I then push game 1, undoing the trade on my end, and game 1 and 3 both have the traded pokemon. As the guy said and as I said, there are ways to mitigate this, but it’s not a no-op.
@@Gideonrex1 the problem you are laying out only exists when the GameState does not get synchronized by the gameserver across the clients. When it does get synchronized this problem cannot occur. It’s very simple to avoid, just make sure every action by the client, whether it is initiating a trade or accepting / declining a trade, they all should send a packet to the server, and it’s the job of the server to keep the gamestate valid and in sync across all clients. The gameserver is the only source of truth, there can never be different states on different clients that could cause an issue, as clients are never trusted and the only true gamestate is on the server. So it doesn’t matter if clients have invalid state, as soon as the client tries anything harmful with his invalid state, that doesn’t work cuz the server doesn’t trust it and checks the invalid state The problem you are laying out does not exist in modern game developement. In a somewhat decently programmed game where the gameserver synchronizes the gamestate with a SynchronizationContext this problem doesn’t exist
@@florianvo7616 yeah, that’s what I said. You have to sync with the cloud at the same time as the trade. You also have to verify that the pushed game state derived from the previous game state in the cloud.
They need to bring the OG Pokémon games back. Love Zelda and Pokémon but literally cannot stand Nintendo as a company. They suck horribly when it comes to their fan base.
So my question then is, what has changed going from the NDS online store days with their nintendo stamped emulators running OG pokemon games to now? because I'm pretty sure the pokemon company's stance on cheating didn't change
When Pokemon Stadium 1 & 2 dropped on the N64 emu, I assumed gens 1 & 2 must be on the way. You couldn't have told me otherwise at the time. How could they not be? Surely, Nintendo wouldn't release a beloved classic title without proper functionality, right? The timing was so perfect, with gens 1 and 2 becoming harder than ever to obtain as the old Nintendo shop closed down early last year. As it turns out, I was (probably) wrong. I know they've done some greasy stuff in the past, but surely they wouldn't forsake the fans that made Pokemon the highest earning media franchise ever. Then again, I suppose they have many times. Maybe it will still happen, though every month my doubt grows. Hopefully, we get the full functionality of Pokemon Stadium 1 & 2 as well as gen 1 and 2 trading, but I am not holding my breath. I swear, it really feels like Nintendo just doesn't like fun and money. Of course, that's not true. I'm not accusing them of being outright spiteful towards their base, although they don't help themselves in this regard. I wonder if they even have toes after shooting themselves in the foot so many times. Remember the weirdly restrictive new Smash tournament rules they put out last year? Look at what they've done with the Paper Mario franchise. How about the embarrassingly scarce roll-outs of the classic emus? We may get a game a month, which is awesome and appreciated, but when we do there is no way of knowing if the game will function properly (though, I do admit that this is a problem that only affect the Stadium games, as far as I am aware). Maybe, they're lazy. Maybe they just don't care to take on the project. Maybe they're just incompetent or out of touch. I would guess the latter. I don't know, but I find the emulators to be a disappointing purchase, since I bought NSO+ specifically for them. I'd really like to have my money back, Nintendo. Oh well, guess I'll cry about it on youtube ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ [edited the grammar as best as I could]
I hate when gameing company do that, you must play this way or not play our game at all, and it is not even an online game and they still treated like an online game. This is not the only gameing company that does this problem, the company for animal crosssing also does that even if you play it offline. This is one of the reason I never bought animal crossing.
If they released these games on the switch with nothing changed but allowing home support Id buy all of them

bro they legit cut off a good money source by shutting down the 3ds eShop, if we pirate the games on the 3ds it's literally their fault because we can't buy them even if we wanted to
I wish they would put Pokémon Games on the Nintendo Switch Online. Because look at what they did last year.. they shut down the 3DS, now we can’t get those games anymore.
No. That's garbage. I play to complete pokedex. And I can't do that if I can't trade. That only helps you.

I dont think they would Ever release it
I'd buy them as a collection 100%, but there is no way in hell that I'm paying $60 or $70 USD each for separate re-releases. You just know that's exactly what would happen, too.

It sad because I thought we could transfer gen 1-3 Pokémon with Pokemon bank like that
But Nintendo did disable save states when they put the Gen 1 and 2 games on 3DS. So they could just do that again.
That had them bought seperately, not used in a specific app.

Sorry to say, but on Switch it's gonna be the same. It's still an emulator so it still won't feel like the true experience
I don't think the cloud saves thing alone COMPLETELY break the odds, just makes it harder. I'm sure they could come up with a workaround if they really wanted to get the games onto it.
They could let cloud saves stay on the Pokemon games, but not let the NSO Pokemon games interact with Pokemon Home (this would get backlash of course, but I'd rather have the games at all)
It’s work around that leas to pokebank situations me thinks
They are still missing Hey You Pikachu for the N64 Online, Pokemon Puzzle Challenge for the Game Boy Online, the gen 1, 2 and 3 main series Pokemon games and Super Smash Bros. 64 too. 0:09
Hey you Pikachu is reliant on very specific hardware to work, and it's genuinely a terrible game with 0 play value anyway unless you are an absolute fan of pokemon (and in that case, juste buy the physical copy. The shop will die and the games with it when the switch gets discontinued in 5 years or so).
Why does he sound like Big Gay Al from South Park
i would buy them gladly pay for them in eshop at a decent price per individual or bundle
So if I want to play the classic Pokemon games, do I have to play them on the original console in the meantime or try emulation?
Just like there is. Dedicated M-17 N64 app i think they could make a Pokemon NSO App disabling cloud saves on it but also making a connectivity update that grants access to the ROM and SAV data from the NSO Pokemon app to work in pokemon stadiums 1 & 2
Definitely as a separate app, or two (maybe three?)... and tied to a Pokemon Home Subscription instead of a Nintendo Online Subscription.
Basically the same emulator apps just with suspend points and rewind turned off (with the possibility of a temp suspend point that is created when you close the app, and deleted once you resume or choose to ignore it)
Obviously a gb/gbc app, a gba app, and hopefully an N64 app that allows access to the gb/gbc save files. (in the event that had a temp suspend file it would get deleted once the n64 games accessed the save file)
Yeah, my guess is if they ever did release the mainline pokemon games to switch online, it would be via an exclusive home app or pokemon-only channel we'd likely have to pay for on top of NSO.
the reason why. is because gamefreak is to greedy. they want us to buy there latest gen or remakes and make us pay full price for there game
Yeah yet they gave us Red and Blue on the virtual boy on the 3ds years back if they can do that they can give us the gba games
No, it’s because of cloud saves and cheating issues
A growing movement has started in support of the game D.A.M. Champion. Players are tired of hoping that GameFreak will listen to its older audience
That's why piracy is morally ok regarding Nintendo
Nope, not ok.
which leads to the question "why should any1 get a switch in the 1st place?" excellent question.
I hope they add a collection for the gen 3 games to the eshop because they are the only mainline games I haven’t played in about 15 years.
Even if I could try finding my FireRed, I’d also need to get a GBA on eBay which probably ain’t cheap.
I think my emerald was somehow broken the last time I had it
I'd buy red and blue, that was my fucking teenhood. ;_;
Im starting to believe that nintendo hates money. I'd pay more than i probably should to get a remaster of gen 1-3 on the switch. I prefer the old top-down style alot more than the newer gen games.
Respectfully, fast forward to the 4 minute mark for him to answer the question why.
Well, you can use an emulator app. That's what I do.
I own all the games and systems. But I'd still like them to rerelease them all, like they did with gen 1 and 2 on 3ds
Dude who gives a fuck if i want to find and use an exploit in a sing player game that came out close to 30 years ago.
why would bugs and pokemon duping eb anyreason not to port and add home support as they let the gen 1 and 2 on the 3ds connect to bank.
Full restore in the latter game should be the only item used too
They just need to sell a bundle of all the ports and make it compatible with home like just skip one year of new games for it please
So glad I have gen 3 on ROMs
They can either sell them or make them available legally or ill play them illegally. It's on them.
Just make them not compatible with Pokémon home.
Pokemon should come. I don't care if people cheat. I just want to play Pokemon Blue again.
Everyone knows we'll all buy them again, so do it! I would love a 3D All-Stars esque collection of Gens I and II
Mr. Krabs says: money..!
I just bought a RG35XX so I ain’t gotta wait anymore
We pay a yearly subscription but they won't give us a product they already made. They don't respect us.
We don’t want you to cheat so bad we don’t even want you to play
Well, if you're NOT going to add the Pokemon games into the NSO Online service, why not add Pokemon Pinball, or other Pokemon spinoffs in the NSO App?
TCG: 😶
Classic Pokemon games came to my phone regardless 😝💛
I think they’re waiting for the online store to close April 2024
they could probably just remove the save state functionality from just the pokemon games (and maybe others) and maybe replace them with different games (game a, game b, game c, like that)
as for the cloud, they could just not save the pokemon games specifically idk
Yes. Put the Pokemon games on the Switch (or it's successor if that's close by) and disable cloud saves. This also gives those virtual console digital download codes another chance to be used since the eshop collapsed.
People will clone pokemon with hacked switches anyways they should not ruin the end uses experince by disabling those features.
@@cosmicsvidsthe 3ds releases did remove save states

isn't one of the bigger problems is the trade function?
Most people play the game without trading + they added online to the old Mario party games so it prolly wouldn't be that hard for them to code that in
Which part? The oracle games prove you can interact with different versions.
@@mrsuperheatran2794 Trading Pokemon (and therefore code) between games in real time isn't the same thing as inputting a code to unlock something in another game. There's presumably a finite number of codes the Oracle games can generate in order to unlock the linked version of the other game.
U didn't answer the question
i fully understand that some Pokemon games are exclusively on Nintendo DS and 3DS, and will not be able to run properly on Switch or future Switch 2 console. i still wish the much older Pokemon games will run on Switch.
So what you'r saying is that every game playable in switch online is now T reted?
I mean, just dont allow you to transfer pokemon in these games to pokemon home? wouldnt it be that easy? just make the games on the servce only able to interact with each other, or disable the ability at all. You don't need to be able to transfer pokemon to other games in order to enjoy the games, do you now?
Alot of us that play pokemon, is with the intention of collecting them all, we need the home connectivity. Just re release them
Terrible.. I’ll just purchase knock off emulators too play what I want
?
I don’t get it… I want to give them money…. Instead they force me to pirate their stuff… I don’t get it!
People used to transfer Pokémon’s through two different gbs back in the day what’s any different.
The only way, is if there was "Pokemon Online", where it's seperate from nintendo online, snes online, etc!
If this was any other company I'd call the idea of not releasing decades old single player games on a service where you can only play online with friends in fear of cheating to be hilariously farcical.
But this is Nintendo we're talking about so 🤷♀️
Do the other console manufacturers have save states on their official online store emulated rereleases though? (I’m genuinely wondering)
I guess Nintendo will just have to accept that I’m going to pirate all their Pokémon games then
You stated the possible ways to prevent cheating and yes, cloning your Pokemon IS an issue because fans (people) will do anything to have an advantage or horde Pokemon to trade for legendary Pokemon what so ever.
You’re manifesting negativity that we don’t need man. What we should be doing is starting a petition to get these games on the switch
Like the petition to bring back national dex for Sw/Sh? Look at how successful that was.
it took 10 min to give a 2 min answer....
Emulate them on your smartphone tablet or computer
nintendo dosent care if you are "cheating" in single player form if you buy another console because they profit from it, i bought switch lite in auddition for my oled especielly so i could "cheat" by trading between save files and completing the pokedex in various games on the switch. in fact this is what nintendo WANT you to do. they know that people would want to buy another console because it hard to find trades for games that are not new. i farmed insane amount of BBP on the indigo disk this way, do you think nintendo care? they only care if you cheat online. in fact i wouldent even call it "cheating" also. with pokemon home i could finish the BDSP national pokedex and other games pokedexes so fast because i could just transfer pokemon between games. now you dont even need the 2 versions of lets go because BDSP has all pokemons gens 1-4 so if you have them there you can just move them to your lets go copy and thats it. you can complete pokedexes insanly fast with home because of that. so your entire video is pointless. this is NOT the reason they wont let you have it. the reason is that they want you to buy their new pokemon games to play with the pokemon you want. so lets say if someone loves gen 3 they want him to buy BDSP rather then let him transfer from emerald to home
I hope they add them

Having one app share the same esrb rating is false, Fortnite itself has in the same game a mode rated E and another T. So it's possible to have different ratings on one app
Remakes, that's why.
1. gens 1 and 2 have their own highly exploitable glitches with the PC storage system, and using cloud saves is entirely inefficient, not only would you need a second Switch, but the process would be much slower.
I just think its not right to make the 3ds system design and its games retro only and something where its potentially lost to dust & time knowing newer younger folks will never know and get to be able to play such great games from the gba/ds/3ds eras... :(
Anyways thanks to whoever even read this lololol 😂 some of the english is probably really messed up cuz youtube commenting doesnt autocorrect. 😅😅
hi, professional software developer here.
I’d add something to verify 2 things:
1: when you upload to the cloud, the current state must have come from the previous state stored in the cloud. Otherwise, they could only pull from the cloud, not push.
2: when you trade with others, you must have connection to the cloud, it would need the previously mentioned check to pass, and a save state with the cloud would happen simultaneously with the trade.

How is Pokémon duplication a thing?!?!
So it doesn’t matter if clients have invalid state, as soon as the client tries anything harmful with his invalid state, that doesn’t work cuz the server doesn’t trust it and checks the invalid state
The problem you are laying out does not exist in modern game developement.
They're gonna sell them individually, calling it now
the classics do matter,it's where it all began.
How is transferring Pokémon cheating? Unless you mean cloning save files to a different Pokémon game
Abusing glitches to make Pokémon overpowered.
Oh well, guess I'll cry about it on youtube ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
[edited the grammar as best as I could]
I would buy a switch the next day if they released the old GB/GBA pokemon games
I hate when gameing company do that, you must play this way or not play our game at all, and it is not even an online game and they still treated like an online game. This is not the only gameing company that does this problem, the company for animal crosssing also does that even if you play it offline. This is one of the reason I never bought animal crossing.
I never bought Animal Crossing for Switch because for a whole $60.00 most of the functions depended on being connected to internet
why can when you can download an emulator and get it for free?
