For authentic ones, I feel like it’s probably a “know the right guy” type of deal. You’d have to know someone who would work at a place like GameStop or ToysRUs to get access to one, without stealing
I still see a lot of people asking this- I mention in the vid that I won't be directly linking it as I don't want to create direct sales to a fake cartridge
I used to own a distribution cart back in the day for the shiny Sinnoh trio in Gen V, sold it when monry was kinda tight and honestly really regret it. These things are expensive now!
Reminds me of a similar cartridge that I got off Aliexpress around Christmas, the "Pokemon Ultimate Event Distribution" cartridge for over $100. There are now bootlegs OF that bootleg available for around $30.
The thing that gets me wondering if what would to happen if took one of the Pokémon you got sent from that cartridge and tried to put it in home. Because home will only let you transfer Pokémon to it if it’s a legit Pokemon and not hacked or anything
You're not alone in your grief. I peeled the sticker off my gold special edition copy of Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time for N64. To this day it remains one of the biggest mistakes of my life. Along with trading a shadowless, 1st edition, base set Charizard that I pulled out of a Pack in 1999 for a Hitmonchan & Gyarados..I was 9. I didn't even know what Shadowless was back.
I recall that Start+Select on the boot screen could be used to receive a save patch to early-run Ruby/Sapphire games to fix the berry glitch. I'd have to find where I put my copy of Fire Red but I think you could use it or Leaf Green to push the patch. Gotta love the predecessor to DS Download Play
You actually can. That's the funny part. The event dump rom can actually generate shinies. I have a shitload of event cart dump roms on my computer. They all can generate shinies. It's just FUCKING time consuming. You can stay there for hours bootlooping the GameBoy until you get one
I have this cartridge. It actually came with a case with really cool box art. The case itself is a PAL version DS case which I found interesting. The event Pokémon were a real thing in 2006, but the cart is definitely not authentic.
@piplupness Yeah I'm aware of flash carts. But as someone who doesn't emulate this was a better option for me. It was $10 as opposed to a $50+ flash cart I would never use.
Two questions: 1. Where did you obtain this? 2. Can you make infinite distribution carts if you were to rip the rom from it or is there something special about the hardware?
you can run this ROM on a flash cart no need to buy this cart. Goppier has more information on how this was made with a link in his description of that video he made on the project. it's also disheartening knowing that people are profiting off his hard work.
Hey @golderzoa, this is a post about the ROM on the cartridge I used from 2016. This is different to what he worked on: digiex.net/threads/pokemon-10anniv-distribution-cartridge-gba-download-eng-fre-ger-ita-spa.14897/

I've been able to get my hands on the dump roms of this event cart, and many more of those dump roms. I've setted up a pair of emulators, and all those mons are legit. You can also shiny hunt them through that distro event rom / cart, as there is a chance the actual dump generates a shiny. To be able to transfer them though, you have to boot up the recieving GameBoy on alternate boot mode (I can't remember exactly how as I did it long ago) but I think you have to hold Select while you boot the GameBoy up. If the timing is right between the boot up on the recieving end and the actual Pokémon sending command on the donor cartridge, the transfer will occur. Keep in mind it shoots it straight up in your party, so you have to clean your party in a box and only have one left. Otherwise it will tell you the transfer failed because it won't have a slot to dump it to, and will ask you to reboot, clean at least one slot in your party, and try again. My guess with your cartridge is that the actual PCB is real, but for some reason the original '' owner '' 3D printed a case and a new sticker, I guess because the original enclosure of the PCB got damaged. (And I said original '' owner '' because we all know event cartridges normally should be returned to Nintendo Japan after the event ends to be destroyed).
about 14 years ago, I helped cleaned out a play n trade, my dad knew the owner of the lot and he sure. So I got a a PC, a bunch of busted PS3s and X360s from it and so on. I would like to see a part 2 :3
Just how do some people get these Pokémon event cartridges?
For authentic ones, I feel like it’s probably a “know the right guy” type of deal. You’d have to know someone who would work at a place like GameStop or ToysRUs to get access to one, without stealing
Where i can get this cartridges??
I still see a lot of people asking this- I mention in the vid that I won't be directly linking it as I don't want to create direct sales to a fake cartridge
take a screenshot and google search the image 😂
I used to own a distribution cart back in the day for the shiny Sinnoh trio in Gen V, sold it when monry was kinda tight and honestly really regret it. These things are expensive now!
Part 2 my dude
Hey does the event distribution cart work on Japanese copies
Reminds me of a similar cartridge that I got off Aliexpress around Christmas, the "Pokemon Ultimate Event Distribution" cartridge for over $100. There are now bootlegs OF that bootleg available for around $30.
Mine is the 140+ one. Yours appears to just be the 10ANNIV event.
''bootlegs of that bootleg'' oh for goodness sake. 🤦♀
I would also peel the title stickers off my gameboy cartridges. Not sure why.
Does it have the Spcae C Deoxys and 10th Annjv Celebi?
I recall that Start+Select on the boot screen could be used to receive a save patch to early-run Ruby/Sapphire games to fix the berry glitch. I'd have to find where I put my copy of Fire Red but I think you could use it or Leaf Green to push the patch.
Gotta love the predecessor to DS Download Play
Yeah, they're officially called multiboots. DS Download Play's stuff is called cloneboot.
Can these cartridges work with reproduction copies of the gen 3 games?
I did check, they have a 10th anniversary and a regular cart, the 10th only has the anniversary pokemon but the regular one has lots more
Excuse my ignorance but, what do you mean by "Regular One"?.
@@Kranon they sell two versions and one only distributes the 10th anniversary event Pokémon which is why his is all 10th anniversary
@@Kranon it's not ignorance, the video didn't say
It's due that there is more than 10 because of the different languages, they got different Pokemon
Do a part two please. I want to see if this would pass the Pokémon home checks and get it into Gen 9
I dare you to shiny hunt with this cartridge
You actually can. That's the funny part. The event dump rom can actually generate shinies. I have a shitload of event cart dump roms on my computer. They all can generate shinies.
It's just FUCKING time consuming. You can stay there for hours bootlooping the GameBoy until you get one
I never peeled my cartridges, i think it’s just you
That SP looks real familiar...
I had/have cats, too. 😂
And now we're waiting for you to post it on the archive 😉
The ROM has been public for years, I replied to a different comment with a post I found online 😎
I DEMAND A PART 2 OF YOU TRANSFERING THEM TO NEWER GAMES!!!
Fine but only because you SCREAMED
Two questions:
1. Where did you obtain this?
2. Can you make infinite distribution carts if you were to rip the rom from it or is there something special about the hardware?
About Suicune, I remember it was a event in Italy
I also peeled the sticker off my Pokemon Yellow cartrige, forever regret it, I also used to bite the corner of my GBA SP for some reason
Bro this is insane Where did you buy it? I really want that now that you mentioned it.
you can run this ROM on a flash cart no need to buy this cart.
@@KevdogPlays good to know! didn't realize you knew about the project. didn't realize they''re were deviations from the project. kinda cool other people made similar work kinda cool many people have made distro ROMs for old events.
@@golderzoathe ones on digiex are dumps from the official carts, not fan recreations. Goppier work is based on the official dumps, they're basically rom hacks of the official distributions.
I left a link by the top of the comment 😉
I always do that with beer bottles. Idk why I just have to peel the labels
this event pokemon are "legal" as a normal pokemon event would be?
and can i transfer it to pokemon home?
What if you can only distribute 140 pokemon total, hence the "over 140 distributable pokemon" mark
Definitely peeled some stickers off back in the day...
Also engraved a cart or two...
And put a sticker onto the wrong cart on purpose...
No, this is a flashable GBA cartridge that has been loaded with all the event variations of the 10 ANNIV event
about 14 years ago, I helped cleaned out a play n trade, my dad knew the owner of the lot and he sure. So I got a a PC, a bunch of busted PS3s and X360s from it and so on.
I got a few busted DS's as well. Along these DS's I got a copy of a DS Demo game. Was one of the coolest things I ever had. No idea what happened to it.
I find myself heartbroken every time I see and hear someone turn on a childhood pokemon game and the save is gone even if they aren't upset am I the only one? I need to start backing up my saves on the computer I'd be so sad
Sadly my leaf green and emerald got the old sticker delete
If you have pokemon Home, it's a cool find. They are pretty interesting as they change the graphics and Stuff while within pokemon home.
On the old game boy games I’d take the cover off , like on my big brother’s Pokémon Cristal an soul silver
I just realised it's a repro. There's no nintendo logo on the front of the cartridge.
I never peeled off the sticker but I had two ganes who were peeled. Funny enough it was pokemon firered and megaman battle network 5 team protoman
So I bought one and tried it… I can get the Nintendo logo to disappear, but it doesn’t come back unless I press a. Not sure what I’m doing wrong.
where from
Of course I want to see a part 2!
did you forget to go to the other pages?
Definitely need a part two
