finally you addressed this issue, I almost got scammed by this guy. I downloaded the telegram app and did the whole process then he asked me for my credit card info because of the bike i won had a fee for delivery. then i knew it was fake.

Some people are too gullible. If it seems too good to be true then it probably is. It's crazy how people will fall for the most obvious of scams and bots
I thought the same but he really does seem to know the channel and how to get some of these younger viewers to buy into that they won something...
Some people are dealing with the stresses of life or not thinking straight for one reason or another. Actually completely understandable and not crazy at all.... it's more sad than anything because they're being taken advantage of..

Some people know it’s fake, but they’re only 99% sure. It takes just a little bit of truth to change someone’s mind
@@ninja4187 all it takes is a simple check of the profile to tell if it's fake. Plus if Brian was doing a giveaway it'd be pretty well known. it is sad yes but I think it's crazy to miss the obvious signs.
The craziest thing to me is you might be the first TH-camr to actually address this scam. If you go into any big TH-camrs comments, you’ll find this exact scam. Same with Instagram. Feel like even though majority of people won’t fall for this, content creators should still make it known for their more susceptible audience that there are people impersonating them trying to scam. Good on you for making this video bro

Quite a few I watch have recently, Though, it all depends on what you watch, I watch a lot of tech stuff and other coding and the like videos so its natural for TH-cam's algorithm to put stuff like that in front of me, someone who watches no tech or otherwise is far less likely to get these types of videos.
With that said its getting really bad recently. It used to be just Crypto related videos, but now its branched off into every social media form and multiple different scams. Of course, to add fuel to the fire TH-cam is taking a back seat to it.

Sadly its quite common, and they wouldnt continue if it wasnt fruitful. Check out a youtube channel called scammer payback. It will give you an idea just how big of an industry it is.

I've seen this happen on so many channels, but only seen a few address the issue, and mostly just a community post that many won't see. Great work on walking us through the scam, interesting to us who know it's a scam, and very important to educate the young/naive viewers.

I’ve seen these same whatsapp number scammers on so many channels. It’s good you addressed this for those who haven’t been taught about these scams or learned from them before. Once you’ve seen it they all become pretty obvious.
The best advice tho use is to not interact at all because they could be using malware to steal other data from you without you knowing

Yeah this is very common recently. YTers from different genres of gaming and irl stuff are dealing with it andthe scammers must be making bot accounts because its such a prevalent issue across YT right now.
TH-cam needs to do something about it, its everywhere and kids are always on here and they don't know any better.
There's a lot of them on TH-cam they use thesame picture and tell you to chat em that you win something and ask for a shipping fee for them to send the price blah blah blah I hope TH-cam will do an action about this esp protecting us vloggers and our viewers.
So sick of it really annoying and have almost fell for it myself keep it coming!

It's a common scam for any influencer that has a following. They pretend to be someone famous saying that they won something. It's just to collect your info and use it or sell it

This is a really common scam on youtube nowadays, every big youtuber suffers from this now in comments, sometimes these bots just autoreply a phone number to text and say you won something the second you comment on a video. I cant believe some people fall for this its literally WAY TOO OBVIOUS, but obviously every once in a while in a sea some fish bite, those poor suckers lol
