Excellent video , weld done , thank you for showing whole process without talking nonsense , very informative and easy to understand , the pattern you created were impressive , pity this technique can be apply only to '' nonferrous material '' Im experimenting with patterns on mild steel sculpture and I will try some of your techniques , non ferrous metals are softer but steel can be heated up '' make it softer '' while hammering with specially made pattern hammer , Highlighting on your pieces was excellent , well done !

    • @SilverMeister
      @SilverMeister  2 ปีที่แล้ว

At the end it's not dyeing, it's a chemical process with the silver reacting with potassium sulfide tarnishing it. Because the surface is uneven due to the pattern now, scraping the raised areas with the steelo removing the tarnish reveals the pure silver again. You might have to find a chemist to see which reaction would make the tarnish look gold. But there aren't dyes involved in this.

      You are all right.
Gold does not react to potassium sulfide.

    • @SilverMeister
      @SilverMeister  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      음,,, 순동 합금을 안해 보셨군요^^

    • @SilverMeister

As for disposal, I take care of myself.
It is true that potassium sulfide is dangerous, but it is also used as a bathing agent in bathing. Diluted potassium sulfide is actually beneficial to the skin.
