The Iwata Neo is the best budget airbrush on the market, had one for years for primer and clear coat, super easy to use, .05, a reliable work horse. My main brush for everything else is a H&S Evolution AL plus, .2 needle, works perfectly with lacquer and acrylics, no problem at all.
I have to agree with your thoughts on the Airbrushes, I could never really get on with my H&S infinity, although I still own it. I bought a Procon Boy about 3 years back and it's a real workhorse of an airbrush, never gives me any spray issues, great quality product.
@@RWHobbies good to know! I miss riding my motorcycle in the Summer. I sold it when it stopped being fun to ride, as here in New England, car drivers really don't pay attention to motorcyclists. Especially true in Massachusetts.

That may be next up when I am done with the Desert Babe. I may open it up too to show detail. Like what I did with the Zoukei Mura Bf.109. I just ordered a Quinta set off eBay which was cheap.
I'm not sure why Border decided on 1/35 for aircraft. Lack of aftermarket support is a huge drawback for me. Tamiya was successful in moving armor from 1/32 to 1/35, but that was possible only because the selection of armor kits in the late '60's and early 70's was very small and they flooded the market with quality kits of popular subjects. They were not so successful with their 1/50 aircraft kits (I built their Ki-61 Tony as a lad) because 1/48 was well established with a wide array of subjects, just as 1/32 is today.
Hey Ritchie glad I watched this episode as I was about to buy the new infinity. I used to own one back in the day and used laquer which was fine. Now I’m using AK acrylics, so maybe the procon boy is the way to go… Do you mix your paint in the cup? What type of acrylics are you mainly using ?
Yes I am bad and mostly mix in color cup. Should mix more in an external container. The 1oz plastic sauce cups work great for that. I only use Tamiya XF, everything else lacquer.

You mentioned 3D printing cargo pallets for the C-130…any chance you would offer to your Patreon subscribers to purchase if notified before you commit to printing? Yep. Quality brush for a decent price. I just want a stress free spraying time every time I go to paint.

@@RWHobbies I have that too. As you pointed out, the roundels look all wrong and will have to be sprayed.
Kelik 3D decals are comparable to Quinta and are made in Ukraine (vs Russia). Lots of good options out there.

I guess to march armor for dioramas. It is a nice size, but lack of aftermarket like the decals can be problematic.
