If you want inspiration for your own design (or borrow some inspiration from someone else!) you can find tons of AWESOME sphere designs here: www.dysonsphereblueprints.com/blueprints?type=dyson_sphere
After48hrs in my run along side this one i finally "beat" the game and started working on a dyson sphere and gotta say watching it slowly build is very satisfying. There video's where great to follow along and i appreciate your reply to the comments i've left on the other videos. now to see if i want to keep playing the current world or if i want to try doing a new one.
If you want a fun endgame activity: Find a 2+ luminosity star and build a dense sphere around that. Just so you can go all like ' POWERRR OVERWHELMING!!! '
Hey TDA, just wanted to say I love your content. I have just "completed" the game following along episode by episode and absolutely love watching your design.
Great video, I remember being confused on the creator when I first started playing. I'm surprised how good the multiple layers look. I've always just done a simple sphere but will have to give this a try next time.
i dont agree that most of the design is only for looks. what i gathered from testing is, more nodes actually can mean more power, but so does cell space. but cellspace generates coefficiently less power, if the next node is to far away. so it very much does make a difference: how big your sphere is how many nodes you place and at what distance those nodes are to each other
The optimal sphere would be the highest density of nodes you can get, with as much connections as possible, filled with sails in between. And of course, that applies to as many layers as you can fit in.
You maybe covered this and I missed it, but is how fast your shell gets filled in with sails partially a function of how many nodes it has relative to its surface area? As in, would a shell with more nodes get filled in faster (assuming you have enough rockets to build these nodes)?
I absolutely love DSP and it's among my most played games at around 500 hours. It 's ironic that the one part of the game which bores me to tears is designing the dysonsphere, the interface is so clunky and it just feels like busy work. I could not care less what it looks like, I just want POWER!!
I'm totally there with you. Which is why I love the blueprints available from other people for this (lord knows how long it took them to make some of those designs!)

Wow! I'm the sun now, with an awesome megastructure around me. Thanks for the great content. 🌞

Thanks TDA. This is so cool! Cleared the alpha hive out from my system and started building the sphere

Great stuff, TDA. Thank you.
Loving the guide!
Wow! Extra Vídeo! Great job, keep 'hem coming =D

what the ideaal spaceing is however, i havend found out yet

I believe that 2.766 is the max luminosity the game code allows, and those can be O-type and another type, but I forget.

Yes, sails will try to fill whatever node is available, so more nodes available = faster completion!
Love your content, thank you!
Thanks for the great guide❤
i started to play this again the guides are super useful but the dark fog give some tough time so i renamed my starting system to belka
i like it
