Using sloops for alien DNA and power shards (slugs) is very useful. Geothermal powerplants pair nicely with power storage blueprints to keep power stable for cheap. I also really enjoy using explosive rebar guns when exploring. It blows up mostly everything the nobelisk does, but for me, it is easier to aim.
Nice video as always, are you planing to do a Factorio 2.0 Masterclass? That would be amazing
Also, is there some way to calculate items per minute delivered by a single train? Like OK i need 600/m of sulfur. I put a miner, belt and everything aroud it, but how can i know if train is able to be delivering those 600/m of sulfur with 100% efficiency?
Would be possible to do the maths in the text too please? like how much of what i need to make that much power with this much of this, that and that?
Things I learned: Shift-click and dragging copies buildings + attached sorters Tab evenly spaces rows of buildings You can stack storage containers on splitters Splitters feed the storage containers on them There are three different splitters, R cycles between them You can elevate belts with splitters and layer them on top of other belts Manually building things by clicking on them
I'm confused on how should I do belt work for pipes. We are producing 120 steel per minute, constructor takes 30 of those to make 20 pipes so where and how do I split it off?
That coal power upgrade... broke my brain
Ficsit!
I am a newbie, a beginner and love your videos! All you said and did helps to understand the game, The only thing I do not like is to pave my nice and tidy (thanks to you) starter moon with the (felt) thousands of Wind Turbines. Is there really no other way in the early game? *waves at you with a big smile and crafts the next hundreds of the hated turbines* Looking forward to the next video with the MALL!
I'm honestly amazed by watching some of these videos. Came here to see how to make battlefield analyzers pick up and not drop stuff and learned that you can daisy chain Deuterium power stations?!?!?! Haha... guess I don't know what I don't know! Awesome videos though... very well done.
Thansk for this! I lost power in my factory and was getting too frustrated trying to rig up a solution with nuclear.
I might be wrong but I think this setup produces slightly too much silica, unless you're sinking the 200 silica that comes from the refineries. If you''re adding it back then you only need the silica constructors to provide 400 in total, so 25 (66.666%) each on the 16 constructors. Unless i forgot to carry a 1 somewhere when tuning this!
Nope, you're right! Some of the silica needs to be sinked!
Rather than sink it (which I know is fine but always seems a bit cheaty, like peeling the stickers on a rubic’s cube) I’ve scaled mine back to 25 units/min each, which when mixed with the feedback from the refineries (50 each across 4 refineries = 200 silica/min) *should* be perfect… Should. I expect it to grind to a halt somewhere in a few hours :D
@@SimonPeel Hahaha I know that feeling. "Right, this should work. Probably. Maybe. Right?."
how do u setup the last generators in the row ? mine are losing fuel and then power
You need to turn a few of the early generators off, ensure the pipelines are saturated, and then turn then back on if you want the back ones to keep operating at 100%. Also keep in mind this build can handle 216 generators (or 86.4 if you fully overclock). As I went with the overclock version, each 'row' only need 21.6 generators, so if you have 22 fully overclocked ones, the last ones are going to dry up every now and then)
why don't just play the game as it supposed to be instead of saving and quitting, feels really scummy
I totally understand! If you want to do it 'properly', all you need to do is leave your PC on and come back a while later for the few additional tickets. Leaving your PC idling isn't really interesting gameplay though, so I wanted to make sure I mentioned the timesaver.
Why don't you play the game however you want and let others do the same?
Best play list i ve seen. Ty 😊
Save-scumming achievements feels wrong, but I don’t regret doing that for the cyber wagon.
It's not really needed to save scum to be fair since all you need to do is just let the factory run for a while longer. But considering that takes (literally) zero effort but *does* waste time, I don't think it adds much to the game.
Thanks for the help, I followed the series to 100% the game and go on to build a 100% waste efficient nuclear power plant. I did use the dupe glitch to speed up the ticket process, but that's just cause I wanted to do everything in the game including exploiting it.
Hehe that's one reason to do that! :D
Question about the refinery blueprint, how high is it off teh ground? I built it 8m high to have the machines line up with the top of the logistics floor blueprint but it refuses to snap.
Mine has 2x4m foundations before the main floor, but that doesnt quite align with the logistics floor (as that has a 2m foundation underneath). I solved that by simply manually placing the first refinery blueprint in each factory, then snapping the others to the first.
@TheDutchActuary ah gotcha, I understand
@@TheDutchActuary So do you place a version of the refinery without the logistics and then snap the rest? I found my issue, I had built the template wrong lol.
I dunno, this kinds felt like a very long series. Like you put a lot of design-work in behind the scenes. Once it “completes” is there a continuation-path? Like how we can continue DSP “after winning the game”.
Hahaha yes, with games like this a single episode takes like 5-10 hours to produce at minimum, even if it's a relatively short one like this ;) You can just keep playing after you finish the objectives and build a giant factory if you want!
Want to help me out in 2 free clicks? Like the video & subscribe! Let's bring down the 80% people who watch but aren't yet part of the gang! Note for this episode: The 1000 tickets can take a little longer than ideal, depending on how many you've been collecting/spending up till this point. Hopefully you've been sinking plenty of stuff along the way. Just to note, nothing wrong with just letting your pc run while watching a movie to get that last achievement!
Lets finish it for good!
Coming from Factorio , I'm having difficulty seeing a bus - yes I see moving objects from one place to another
Hehe, well coming from factorio I can imagine that! This game doesn't quite have the mass production you'd see in Factorio, especially late(r) game items are only produced in (relatively) small numbers. That's a good thing, because a factorio style bus wouldn't quite fit into this gameworld and would be rather unwieldy to craft to boot ;)
Around 12:40 I am confused on how exactly you got your set up to create the Versatile Rods. I think I have figured it out. Yours just seems so much for efficient/organised than what I have created. Do you have any tips? A pleasure as always!
I think the most important tip I can give you, is leave yourself PLENTY of room. Any time my builds get messy, it's typically because i'm trying to fit too much stuff in a small area. Hope that helps, but if you have specific questions, let me know!
DUUUUUUUUDE. Underrated channel. Like actually helpful. No hype and thumbnails and the "TikTok" voice inflection reminiscent of a bad news reader that so many big TH-camrs adopt over time for whatever weird reason. Just factories and info. Love it. 🔥
They use the clickbait and hype thumbnails because, well, it works ;) Not my style though, so I'm happy to hear you like this!
i fucking love this game, but god damn it's hard.
hey hey hey mr TDA, I tried the build myself and here's some things for newbies wondering why the build might be running differently for them: if you look at the planner, you can underclock 1 of the iron plate constructors to 50%, and one of the screw constructors to 50% too, this is also applicable to the limestone build TDA has but I'll leave the underclocking calculations to you as an assignment ;) By THE WAY, one of the commenters here mentioned that one of the assemblers were only getting 40 screws per minute. THIS IS TRUE. this is because the first assembler in the line is only being fed by one constructor, while the other three are feeding the second one. HERE'S HOW TO FIX IT: mr TDA actually made a mistake and made one set of the screw dedicated for the iron plates output 120/m when it only really needed 60 (remember there are 3 assemblers for this) what you do is split it and connect it to the line of 40/m screw so you get 100/m, just enough for the 1st rotor assembler. THEN, remember the other 3 focused on the other rotor assembler? you might say that's 120/m when we only need 100? well dear viewer that's when you go back a few sentences, this is where "underclock one of the screw constructors to 50%" comes in. basically cut the conveyor connecting the two assemblers as they will now have their own dedicated screws. 1st rotor assembler is 40 + 60, 2nd rotor assembler is 40 + 40 + 20 (underclocked). i hope this scratches your no waste left behind itch
I'd like to get your feedback into this mr hey hey hey TDA? if I was right?
All makes sense to me!
I was following along with your tutorial up until about the 19:45 mark with no problems. The I followed along with you adding the Miners and Constructors for limestone but I don't see how just the two biomass burners could be powering all of this equipment. Did I miss something or can these two biomass burners run everything that you created in this video?
What a strange idea to follow step-by-step guides in such games.
Games with oodles of freedom like Satisfactory can be very overwhelming! From the feedback many people use this mostly as a guideline to keep themseles on track, rather than literally copy/pasting (which I think is great!)
I used the oil theoretical 2700 oil per minute on the gold coast to build a 144GW rocket fuel plant with 1800 rubber per minute as a byproduct. No overclocking. Absolutely unnecessary. Very fun.
Great video! Once I unlock turbo fuel and the other upgrades, I'll be building this setup. Quick question: I clicked your link to Satisfactory Tools, and I noticed that the rotors aren’t using the selected Steel Rotors alternate recipe. The tool says it automatically chooses the best configuration, which is fine, but I’d really like the option to ‘force’ it to use a specific alternate recipe. Is there a way to do that? I love how Satisfactory Calculator lets you apply alternate recipes manually.
You can uncheck recipes in the calculator, even the default ones. This forces it to use the remaining ones you like best!
Very nice Setup, even tho it seems harder, Nuclear gets my interests more. Just because its Nuclear :D
Setting the Oil Generators in such a long splitting line always ends up for me that the last generators have no fuel. What am I doing wrong?
This is because the earlier ones are 'buffering' the fuel - you can solve that by turning off a few of the early machines for a while until the pipeline is fully saturated, then turning them back on. Also double check how much you're consuming. If you're consuming more than you produce, the last ones will fall dry (in this specific build, a single row needs 21.6 overclocked generators, so the last ones do not need full overclocking) Or, you know, just delete a single generator at the end if you're feeling lazy and the whole thing will sort itself out at the price of a little power ;)
5:10:32 Mans just casually built Dyson Sphere in real life to showcase game's fidelity XD also wow, your builds are so optimized they remind me of processor die
Hey! Zou je je blueprints willen delen?
6 hrs long nice, i can watch this at work
Hannah Beuger is the level designer, she is dutch (train stations question).
As a beginner im not sure how im supposed to glean anything from this. i've not got the experience or brain capacity to build something like this at a glance. a step by step would be super cool.
How many foundations does this set up use? I'd like to do this build, but I'm not sure if I have enough room. Thanks awesome videos
The generator section is 15 wide, and 40 deep. I would recommend building it somewhere with plenty of room (e.g. the ocean) so you don't run into space issues and have plenty of room to expand it - if you're planning a giant factory. (this build will carry you until the end of the game though, if you're following along)
Great stuff, thank you!
Mods do not affect Steam achievements
Seems you're right! I did some checking and it seems the developers went 'F it, steam achievements are easy to cheat on anyway, so Mod away if you want!'
Guys if you don't find the recipes, after you've scanned your hard drive you can save before rescanning (doesn't work with the first scan) and then load the save and rescan again, it's kind of cheaty but gettting the right recipes can be frustrating
TDA spent 1000 hours in research and published these vids. Absolutely deserves a thump up
main bus with modular factories. like nilaus did, seems easy i'm gonna try it
