We just set our R8L up and this video was a great addition to the manual! A buddy of mine and I did all electrical etc and any questions we had, we just called our local Bullfrog dealer. They actually answer the phones at Bullfrog (!!!!), what a giant plus, and they answered every question. She runs and heats like a top ! I’ve got a good feeling Bullfrog is tops for a good reason!
This is both an endorsement for Bullfrog Spa and for Southern Leisure Spas and Patios. The same person that did this video spent a half hour on the phone with me answering all of my questions and explaining all of the features of the Bullfrog Spa hot tubs. He then recommended that we visit one of there stores. We went on a Friday afternoon and my wife and her sister spent a very pleasant hour trying out both the Marquis and Bullfrog brands. We were alone in the store and they happily jumped from one tub to the next. While they were doing that, the store manager, Kris, patiently explained all of the differences between the different brands and models. We ended up without any hesitation buying a Bullfrog A8 Plus model that same day.
I always have been told you should fill in the filter port furthest from the instrument panel to have the best chance of avoiding air locks. Looks like you were demonstrating filling from the closest filter instead.
Is that flap behind the filter grill supposed to stay down and open? I noticed the other day that mine was closed/floating next to the grill and I wasn't sure if I needed to push it open or leave it alone.
Where do you think the water that passed through the filter goes? It goes back into the whole tub. The filter is for particulates, it doesn’t affect the chemical levels in the water.
When removing jet packs, never put pressure on the acrylic plate. The owners manual specifically states to use the manifolds. Doing so can crack the face and void the warranty. Both you and your co-worker demonstrating the M series are showing incorrect information.
Fantastic spa, but those @ease bullfrog carts don't release enough chlorine for daily soaks plus they are expensive. I test my water almost daily, I've had the water tested professional multiple times and I've tried multiple carts. Chlorine levels were always zero unless I added chlorine manually. I kept running into water quality issues relying on these carts alone. Even at their max level, they just don't work that well and its a shame because it's a good idea.
The entire system is designed to be a low chlorine system. That’s why the mineral pkg is with it. The mineral does the heavy lifting and the chlorine finishes it off. The minerals even give off a non chlorinated shock every so often to help break down the non organics. Kind of like a mineral ever lasting gobstopper for 3 mo. Lol.
It would be a good idea for you to implement a product by a company called Ahh-Some. I use this to purge my tub once every 6 months & also add their other product Aqua Clarity once a week. This product is used in hospitals to clean up after birthing procedures.
I have an A8L...the seat position next to the filter makes a howling noise when pump is on high flow. If I close the jetpack valve the howling gets louder. At first I thought it was a bad jetpack...however I swapped jetpacks around and the howling stayed with the seat position. All jetpacks ran quiet at all other seat positions. If I pull/squeeze the jetpack backwards into the well the howling ceases but returns when I stop squeezing. It appears to be a weak seal/seat at that seat position...is there a way to tight that up?
…btw, the problem is not with the jetpack, it is the gasket/seal in the spa. All jet packs seat fine at all other seat positions…the issue is with the seat position next to the filter
@@ryoder6279 Here is the gasket that I mentioned above. shop.bullfrogspas.com/shop/parts/jetpak-manifold-gasket-blue-2017-present/ I would maybe try swapping this blue gasket with one of your other jetpaks and see if that helps the issue. The only other thing that could be causing this is if the hooks that hold the jetpak was mounted a tad too high in the niche. You might want to get your dealer involved if that is the case.

Yes it is still a good idea to set up the water care schedule to determine how many hours the filter pump runs.
If that cartridge is right next to that filter the chemical will getting into that filter instead of dispersing it to the whole tub

I wet tested a Bullfrog/Marquis, went with the Signature Series.

What year model is your A8L? There is a thicker seal/gasket that can be replaced at the bottom of the jetpak to eliminate that sounds
